December 18, 2020, 02:00, the 15th Special Forces Fighter Wing Airforce base, Kyungi-do Sungnam,
Korea’s best special forces were all waiting in front of the KC-501 transport planes in full battle gear ready to board. Across from them, the 2nd Paratroopers directly under the 2nd Military Command headquarters were wearing a special heavy-armor suit and waiting to board the planes as well. They all formed a long line to start boarding.
From late 2018, the Korean Ministry of National Defense needed a new transport plane for their newly formed heavy-armored paratrooper forces. They started to build three different types of next-generation transport planes. The K-501 transport plane was the smallest of the three, and it was capable of carrying 180 paratroopers for mission deployment.
The second transport plane was the K-502, specialized for rappelling forces and could carry 300 men on board. It was equipped with 4 K-PTZ-1000 engines, making it capable of traveling distances of 25,000 kilometers at Mach 1.5.
Four K-502 planes were carrying the heavily armored rappelling forces. The 12 K-501 transporting planes still were in the process of boarding the paratrooper special forces board one by one at the 15th Special Forces Fighter Wing.
Within 40 minutes, about 3,400 soldiers were all aboard the two different types of transport planes. When everyone was seated, an announcement was heard through the speakers.
“We will now take off in five minutes at three o’clock. Keep a close eye on your firearms and equipment, and fasten your seatbelts.”
The announcement of the pilot made, the green lamp inside the cabin turned red and began to light up the cabin’s interior.
Whirrl~Whirl~ Woosh~
The four plasma jet engines on the K-502 transport plane’s wings emitted a powerful blue flame and began to preheat for takeoff. When the planes prepared for takeoff, the 16 KF-21P Phoenix fighter jets left the runway first to begin their escort of the transport planes. When they reached a certain altitude, they radioed the pilots on the transport planes.
Moments later, after the K-502 planes completed heating up their engines, they slowly moved toward the runway lit with red lights. When the planes reached a speed of 200km/h, the landing gears floated from the surface and began to fly into the sky. The hypersonic K-502 transport planes moved in formation with the 6 Phoenix fighter jets and flew toward the Shandong Province at Mach 1.5; afterward, the 12 K-501 transport planes and 10 Phoenix fighter jets followed.

December 18, 2020, 03:30 (China Standard Time 02:30), in the skies above Weihai Province, China
The K-502 transport planes entered the Weihei Province skies within 30 minutes while being escorted by six Phoenix fighter jets. They were in no threat of being struck down by surface-to-air missiles, which were not detected.
The absence of missiles could either be due to the K-502’s powerful SEMP magnetic waves disrupting the Chinese anti-air radars, or the 2nd Marine Division’s Magpie viper strike forces could have completely annihilated the Chinese anti-air radar bases and equipment.
After taking off, the green lights within the quiet cabin turned red again, and another announcement from the pilot came through the speakers.
“Ten minutes before the jump! Ten minutes before the jump!”
When the announcement was over, the red light began to flash and spin around. A middle-aged man, who seemed to be the most senior, took off his seatbelt, stood up, and shouted to the men seated within the cabin.
“Everyone take off your seatbelts and equip your firearms and gear.”
The middle-aged man was the Battalion Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Lee Youn-joon. When he gave the order, his men took off their seatbelts and began to put on their heavy armor and firearms before standing by.
“Five minutes before the jump! Five minutes before the jump!”
The announcement came on the cabin again, and the Commander gave additional orders.
“Everyone stand up! Move toward the hatch by company.”
Commander Lee Youn-joon gave the order to move toward the hatch door on his left and waited while holding on to the handle. Four minutes later, the final announcement came on.
“One minute before jump! Hatch open! One minute before jump! Hatch open! Stand by while holding onto the handles.”
Whirrl~ whirl! whirl!
A siren rang out while the hatch doors from all four directions began to open. The differences in air pressure caused the wind to blow around like a hurricane before being sucked out.
“Ten seconds before jump! Nine . . .”
The countdown alarm rang out through the plane’s speakers.
The Battalion Commander, who was waiting while holding on to the railing to withstand the wind, let go and jumped off the plane as soon as the countdown hit zero. The other men who were waiting also followed their Commander without any hesitation.
Woosh~ woosh~
The city’s night skies would have been covered by beautiful lights, but since it was a time of war, the entire area was pitch black. The Chinese government had ordered the cities to keep the lights off in case of a Korean aerial strike.
The Commander, who jumped first, was free falling. Moments later, two small holes appeared from his back, and a thruster started to emit blue flames. Then he stopped falling and began to fly. It seemed like a scene from the Hollywood movie Ironman. The men began to fall toward Weihai Province in the same manner and began to spread their arms to glide across the sky.
Woosh!
Finally, the air-raid sirens from Weihai sounded the alarms, and the floodlights from the buildings’ rooftops lit up; anti-air cannons began to launch projectiles.
Bang~ Boooom~ Bang! Bang!
However, it was difficult to target the heavily armored paratroopers that could not be detected by radars with the light provided by the floodlights alone.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Boom!
Above the Weihai skies, an irregular fireworks display started. The anti-air cannons and heavy guns created a wondrous sight with their liberal use of tracer rounds across the skies, but the 6 KF-21P Phoenix jets must have wanted to join in on the battle and began to spray their 22mm laser Vulcans toward the cannons.
Pew pew pew~ pew pew pew~
When the stream of lasers broke through the building windows and headed toward the anti-air cannons, they blew up while bursting into flames. Their operators were blown to bits as well.
Also, the heavily armored paratroopers reached the surface and began to fire back using their KS8 firearms.
The KS8 was an 8mm 6 barrel mini Vulcan weighing 15 kg, but since the men were equipped with their armor, they were able to easily operate the weapon. Also, the power supply was connected to their suits, so there was no need to carry around plasma battery packs and reload.
Hundreds of laser beams were sprayed across the surface. They were falling like rain, lighting up the area. The 199th Infantry Division and its subordinate forces were hit by the falling beams and torn to shreds. The cannons and their operators met similar fates as well.
The 199th Infantry Division was in charge of defending the Weihai Province area, but the Korean force’s landing operation had caused most of their forces to move to the suburbs of Yentai Province, leaving the area completely defenseless.
The paratrooper forces were gathering around their Commander, Lee Youn-joon. All of them had gathered from the signal that came upon their helmets.
The battalion consisted of 256 men including the Commander and only consisted of commanding officers and non-commanding officers. If pure infantry strength was the judging factor, then the 2nd Rappelling Brigade was tops.
Commander Lee Youn-joon opened up the communication line only for his commanding subordinates and gave orders to the company, platoon commanders, and squadron leaders.
“The special forces paratroopers will make their descent in 25 minutes. Until then we make sure we take out the anti-air bases and the remaining infantry forces. Is that clear?”
Then the heavily armored rappel forces split up into teams of four and moved swiftly from building to building using their thrusters. The takeover of Weihai Province had begun.

December 18, 2020, 03:55 (China Standard Time 02:55), in the skies above Weihai Province, China
Twenty minutes later, the 16 K-501 transport planes with the paratrooper special forces on board entered the skies above Weihai Province. The planes’ rear hatch opened and the men began to jump off from the planes to free fall. When they fell past a certain point, they deployed their black parachutes and made a grand scene as they fell toward the surface.
The special forces were 2,400-men strong and because of the work of the heavily armored rappel forces, they were able to land without any threat of being shot down.
The four special forces brigades gathered by their assigned areas and counted numbers. Those that did not have anyone missing split into their own teams like the heavily armored forces and began to swiftly move toward their target locations.
Bang bang bang bang! Bang bang bang bang! Bang!
When one of the special forces team with 10 men met with the heavily armed Chinese police, a firefight broke out. Talk Talk-1 team’s Sergeant First Class Youn Il-un, who had specialized in sniping and explosives, took his KS-12 sniper rifle up on a roof and aimed toward the Chinese policemen. He used the digital scope that had 24 times zoom and slowly pulled the trigger.
Pew! Pew! Pew!
The 5mm laser beams that flew across the speed of light struck the heads of the Chinese policemen without fail. The Chinese men all wore helmets capable of blocking 5.56mm NATO rounds, but since the laser beams were higher powered than normal rifles, the Chinese’s helmets were rendered useless.
When their comrades fell left and right from the sniper, the Chinese policemen halted their fire and hid behind automobiles to take cover. The special forces of the team Talk Talk-1 pointed their rifles forward and quickly approached them. Then they tossed their smart grenades while using suppressive fire to take them out.
“This is Talk Talk-1! We have located numerous armed police in the area and have engaged in combat. Everyone keep an eye out.”
Major Na Gang-joon, the Commander of the Talk Talk area, alerted all of his teams through the communication line.
– This is Talk Talk two! Roger!
– This is Talk Talk three! Roger!
– This is Talk Talk four! Roger!
– This is Talk Talk five! Roger!
The final targets for these forces were Long chung, at the edge of Shandong Province; Lushan, at the far south; Zhimou Qingdao and Feng lai at the far north; and Longkerwu, Zhaolian, Lazhou, Laiyang, Laixi, and Pingdu provinces.
The heavily armored rappel forces and the special forces used guerilla tactics to shake up the civilians and lower the morale of the Chinese soldiers. Their final goal was to take over Shandong Province completely to occupy it as Korean territory.
