Chapter 143: Jing Yiran’s Baby? (Part Two)
Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
Jing Yiran did have a lot of affairs, but this woman had been the first one to turn up at his door, that too pregnant.
Other women who came to his house, looking for him or complaining about him, were all politely asked to leave. This one was different. She was pregnant. Even Grandma Mo Lan was surprised.
She came to Chudan and said with a smile, “Good girl, come and sit down. If you really are pregnant with Yiran’s baby, you are definitely going to give birth to the child. It doesn’t matter if the child was conceived accidentally. Jing Yiran doesn’t get to decide, so what you need to do is to keep the baby well.”
Even though Mo Lan had said so, she was not completely sure that the baby was her grandson’s. This girl in front of them was trying to act all coy, but apparently she was quite foxy and had had numerous affairs herself. No one could say for sure that the baby belonged to the Jing family.
Jing Yiran watched the two women of the Family arrive at a decision, without even consulting with him.
If this woman was indeed pregnant with his baby, they two were definitely going to ensure that the baby was born.
He felt angry and sad, at the same time.
Luckily, he had always been very cautious in this regard. No matter how much he was tempted and how much he lusted over a particular woman, he would always use protection.
He knew the consequences of his actions, if he ever got casual about this. He didn’t want to bring a bastard child into this world. His love child would lead the same life that he had led. His child’s identity would bring shame to the family, like he had. Jing Yiran too, was a love child.
It was true that Jing Yiran was the second heir of Family Jing, but there was no denying the fact that he was a love child. If Jing Yichen’s mother Zhao Qing hadn’t passed away, then his mother Zhang Rong would never have been able to move into this villa, and he would have lived his entire life as Zhao Qing’s biological son, rather than admit publicly that his father, Jing Zhongxiu, had had a child out of wedlock.
His birth was an accident, one that was the product of his mother Zhang Rong’s scheme, which she brought into effect by drugging his father Jing Zhongxiu.
\r \r \r
It had also been because of Grandma Mo Lan, who had stopped Jing Zhongxiu from forcing Zhang Rong abort the child. That is how he came into this world.
Zhao Qing was aghast that Mo Lan would ever suggest such a thing, that too while Jing Zhongxiu was still married to her. She had a huge row with Jing Zhongxiu. She left the house in a fit of anger and died in a car accident because she lost control of the vehicle, on account of her emotions.
Zhang Rong eventually married Jing Zhongxiu when she was pregnant, and gave birth to Jing Yiran one month after the wedding.
This was why Jing Yichen had always hated Jing Zhongxiu, Mo Lan, Zhang Rong and Jing Yiran, ever since he started to understand the difference between right and wrong. He understood that had it not been for the insensitivity of these people, his mother would still be alive.
When Jing Yiran was younger and a very naive, he thought that he had the same status as Jing Yichen, but he didn’t understand why his father favored Jing Yichen more. Father would teach Jing Yichen everything, including the operational affairs and key financial matters of the enterprise, yet Jing Zhongxiu would never do the same with Jing Yiran. Therefore, Jing Yiran had always grudged Jing Yichen and kept picking on him.
Jing Yichen had never taken to Jing Yiran. All they needed to do was share a roof. As long as they were under the same roof, it was only a matter of time before either of them picked a fight with the other.
Jing Yiran was younger and less experienced, so he wasn’t a match for Jing Yichen, who was three years older than Jing Yiran. Every time Jing Yiran got injured on account of Yichen, he would complain to Mo Lan who would scold Jing Yichen, irrespective of whose fault it was.
When he became older, Jing Yiran finally understood his real background. He understood the reason for which he was treated the way he was. He was, after all, a love child.
He was different from Jing Yichen in every single way. He wasn’t qualified enough to take over the Enterprise and its affairs. He hadn’t earned the right to be favored by Jing Zhongxiu. In the initial days, he hadn’t even earned the right to get the customary white silk handkerchief that represented the identity of Family Jing. He recollected that in his childhood, even the staff of the house, treated him differently compared to the love and respect they gave Jing Yichen.
He hated his life so much that he wished that his child would be nothing like him. He wished that his child would not have to carry the heavy cross of the mistakes made by its parents.
Therefore, whatever the case was, even if this woman was pregnant with his baby, he would never allow this child to be born.
Jing Yiran smiled deviously. Finally, something of consequence occurred to him.
“Grandma, mom, I don’t know this woman at all. The baby in her belly is definitely not mine. But since you believe her so much, what do you think about getting a DNA test at the hospital right now?”
Technology had made huge progress in the last few decades and it was now possible to get a DNA test done while a child was still in the womb of its mother. A little amniotic fluid was removed from the womb, and this would later be used to further tests to determine the DNA of the child. State of the art technology would be used and would ensure accurate results along with the safety of the mother and child.
Chudan said that she was pregnant for four months. It seemed like the right time to go in for a DNA test.
This test was often performed around the 16th week of pregnancy, when the foetus was not fully developed but there was no risk of a miscarriage. There was a lot of amniotic fluid in the womb and only a small quantity would be required for this test to be conducted. This would not affect the pregnancy in any way. It was a totally harmless procedure.
Both Mo Lan and Zhang Rong had thought of this idea as well, so they agreed instantly, hearing Jing Yiran’s suggestion. They both thought that the test wouldn’t do any harm to the child and it would be enough proof to know for sure if the child was Jing Yiran’s or not. The pregnant woman’s story lacked conviction anyway.
Jing Yiran noticed that not only these two women but even Chudan seemed to approve of this method. She didn’t show any sign of panic as if she was totally certain that the baby was indeed his.
Jing Yiran smirked to himself. It didn’t matter who the father of this child was, as long as he could somehow convince these three women to accompany him to the hospital. He would then get them to decide if Chudan needed a DNA test or an abortion.
This woman, Chudan, looked charming and cunning. She wasn’t the usual damsel in distress. She clearly didn’t believe in doing things the conventional way when she turned up at his residence with a pregnant belly.
Jing Yiran had no idea of what lay in store for him at the hospital, whilst he was busy making other plans on the sly.
It was the weekend today and it was one of those rare times when Jing Yichen and Shangguan Ning decided to take it easy and rest at home. Jing Yichen was cooking dinner for them.
She had been sick several times, since they had gotten to know each other. Each time she had been hospitalised, her condition had been worse than the previous time. As a result, she had lost a lot of weight and looked a lot thinner than before.
Jing Yichen asked the chef to prepare various nutritious dishes for her, so that she became gained some weight.
Also, Shangguan Ning had become quite particular about the food she ate. She had always been fond of the shrimp Jing Yichen made for her, so they went to the supermarket, bought the ingredients and Jing Yichen prepared the dish for her once again.
After lunch, Shangguan Ning was watching TV while lying down on the sofa, but soon she fell asleep.
Jing Yichen carried her carefully and placed her on their bed in the bedroom. He covered her with a blanket and then kissed her forehead with love. He couldn’t help smiling, watching her sleep so peacefully.
He walked out of the bedroom quietly, and walked into the study where Tiger was already waiting for him.
“How is it going?” Jing Yichen’s voice was calm and devoid of any emotion.
Chapter 144: Right Treatment for the Right Disease (Part One)

Tiger knew what Jing Yichen was referring to, so he provided him with an update instantly. “Second Master has had to experience tremendous losses. It will take him at least five years to undo those losses.Seven of his companies are filing for bankruptcy as we speak.”
Jing Yichen nodded and said. “What about that matter that needed to be handled at home?”
Hearing the question, Tiger smiled and said, “Just as you had predicted, they are going to the hospital for a DNA test now.”
He admired Jing Yichen a lot and held him in high regard. He had outwitted Jing Yiran by pre-empting all of Jing Yiran’s moves. The entire plan was going according to the book. His Master was so smart.
“Okay. Get the doctors ready and please ask them to maintain their composure. As for that woman, pay her on completion of the mission and send her abroad to the country of her choice, under a different identity, just as she had requested.”
Jing Yichen’s men had come across Chudan at a nightclub. Her real identity was kept hidden and a fake identity was made, with credible references of course, should someone feel the need to cross check. The entire story was well thought out, before her visit to the Family Jing House. She had many boyfriends and had no idea who the father of her baby was. She had planned to abort the baby but it turned out that someone was willing to pay her a great deal of money and send her abroad under a new identity, provided she helped them in return. So she was more than happy to accept the task.
She already knew the risks of taking up an assignment like that. Lying to the Second Master of Family Jing could be injurious to her life, yet she had nothing to lose and was fed up with her life at present. It was a demeaning one, where she was looked down upon, and she wanted to leave the city as soon as possible. On completion of this task, she was not only getting a huge sum of money, she was also getting a chance to start afresh, abroad.
Therefore, she was extremely invested in the task at hand and acted with such conviction and confidence that she could put real actresses to shame.
They entered an ordinary looking hospital in A City, and Jing Yiran’s entry generated quite a furore.
His handsome face and his charming mannerisms made women go weak in the knees. He was so attractive, that it was almost impossible for most women to not lust after him, as soon as they saw him. Everyone knew how influential he was, so they tried their best to get in his good books.
If Jing Yiran had not been so tired and exhausted, thanks to Jing Yichen’s persistent torture, he would have definitely whistled at a few hot looking nurses at the hospital. To add to his stress, now there was this woman who claimed to be carrying his child. On any other day, he would’ve had no problem convincing one of the nurses to spend the night with him. This was business as usual, for Jing Yiran, but not today.
Unfortunately, he was not in a mood for all that right now. All he wanted to do was to get the woman to abort the baby and get back to handling the real deal – the issues he had been facing with his businesses.
Even a minor delay could cost him millions, and at this rate, he would soon be bankrupt. The situation had gotten from bad to worse. He was bleeding money and there was nothing he could do to stop it. It was a matter of time before he lost the ability to fight against Jing Yichen.
\r \r \r
The hospital they had visited was old and run down. Due to this, even the equipment was not state of the art. Grandma Mo Lan was extremely upset with his choice.
“Isn’t Family Mu’s Hospital the best in the city? Even if you don’t approve of it, we could have still gone to City Hospital, or the X University Hospital, where the doctors are far more skillful. And those doctors are our family friends. We know of their capabilities and they know of us. Why did you pick this one instead? Look at the environment! What if the doctors are unprofessional and hurt the baby?”
The old lady kept nagging and scolding Jing YIran. Zhang Rong was also in agreement with her. She sat on the bench of the hospital, frowning, whilst they waited their turn. She was Jing Zhongxiu’s wife and she was used to nothing less than the best, at all the time. She had never been to this kind of a crowded and generic hospital.
She regretted accompanying them to this hospital, but she was afraid that when the DNA results were out, Jing Yiran would lie to her claiming that the baby wasn’t his. She had to wait this out alone.
Jing Yiran ignored them. He called his team and asked them to bribe the doctors so that they could perform an abortion on Chudan, as soon as possible.
He was certainly not going to Family Mu’s Hospital and any of the other famous hospitals – he would definitely be unable to bribe the doctors there and specially when everyone there treated his grandma like she was some kind of Goddess.
He was not here to get a DNA test one. Anyway, the procedure of performing an abortion would not differ, from one hospital to another.
It was finally their turn after waiting for a quarter of an hour.
Soon the results were ready. When Chudan was wheeled out of the private room, Mo Lan and Zhang Rong asked about her, anxiously. When they were updated with the details, they almost passed out, out of sheer stress.
The baby had been aborted by the doctor, in accordance to Jing Yiran’s orders and that in accordance to the DNA results, Jing Yiran was the baby’s father!
“That is impossible!” Jing Yiran banged the table with his fist.
How did they expect him to not know whether the baby was his or not?
Could this doctor be an unskilled one to have made a mistake or was there some other reason……?
He had been tormented by Jing Yichen too many times recently, and even now he suspected that Jing Yichen was the mind behind all of the recent upheavals in his life.
When Jing Yiran thought about this, he suddenly surveyed the doctor who looked professional and honest.
The doctor lifted his black-frame glasses and smiled at him, unexpectedly.
Mo Lan and Zhang Rong were both extremely annoyed. They scolded Jing Yiran for deciding on everything, without even checking with them. They now understood that they were lured to come to this hospital so that Jing Yiran could have the baby aborted.
Seeing the two seniors so upset, the doctor consoled them. “Honestly speaking, it is a good thing that the baby was aborted.”
The two women were shocked at these words. They stared at the doctor in disbelief. Jing Yiran, though, was slightly relieved. He thought that his men did do a great job after all. All the money he had to spend on this exercise, was worth its while. The doctor was even comforting the family for him.
What the doctor said after that, drained all colour from Jing Yiran’s face.
“Because this baby was innately crippled, and it would have died shortly after birth. I checked the mother up and she was completely healthy. So, the issue must be from the father.”
He turned towards Jing Yiran and enquired,”Are you the father?”
“No!”
“Yes!”
The three women answered at the same time. Although the answers weren’t in concurrence to Jing Yiran’s,the doctor was experienced and seemed to have seen similar situations before. He nodded and continued with his diagnosis, ignoring Jing Yiran, “I suggest that this man needs to get a detailed check up at the hospital at the earliest, to see what the problem is, in case any of his future offspring is affected. Young men these days, should learn how to restrain themselves from all vices, otherwise pregnancy would be quite difficult for your wife, in the future. Don’t regret it when it happens. Take preventive action now.”
Jing Yiran understood his own physical condition very well. How could he be sick? This stupid doctor must be lying!
He knew that it did not make any sense for him to argue about anything right now and there was no way to prove the doctor wrong as well. He couldn’t randomly get a woman pregnant just to prove his prowess.
After they came out of the hospital, Mo Lan and Zhang Rong forced Jing Yiran to come with them to Family Mu’s Hospital.
As for Chudan, Zhang Rong had driven her away. She was of no value without the baby, and she may as well just leave, after getting a monetary compensation.
Family Mu’s Hospital was the most top notch hospital in A city, with the best qualified doctors and the latest equipment.City. The privacy it provided to its patients, was one of its strongest advantages. No private information was leaked to anyone else. It was the best place to get Jing Yiran checked up.
Besides, Jingsheng Enterprise had a share in Family Mu’s Hospital and getting treatment here was like getting treatment at their own home. It was safe and convenient.
The old lady, who had been cheated by her grandson once, didn’t trust him any more. Without listening to any of his suggestions or explanations, she dragged him to Family Mu’s Hospital.
The current Head of Family Mu’s Hospital, was an outstanding and capable doctor called Mu Qing. Out of the respect he had for Family Jing, Mu Qing personally came to receive Grandma Mo Lan and her family, when they reached the hospital.
Jing Yiran wasn’t sure if he was hallucinating. He thought he saw Mu Qing smirking at him. When he paid close attention to Mu Qing, he realised that all of this must just be a figment of his imagination. Mu Qing seemed extremely well behaved and was cheerful and enthusiastic.
Chapter 145: Right Treatment for the Right Disease (Part Two)

Mu Qing was on good terms with Grandma Mo Lan. When he addressed her as “Grandma”, it sounded more sincere than when it came from her own grandson, Jing Yiran.
He was very warm and friendly towards Zhang Rong as well. He addressed her respectfully as “The Lady”.
Both grandma and Zhang Rong liked him immediately. They chatted for a while, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. Only Jing Yiran stood there, with a smug expression on his face, as if he had lost millions of yuan – which he had, but none of his family knew that.
Mu Qing asked after sometime, “Are you here to get a check up for yourself, Grandma? As far as I can see, you are doing very well, and you are fit enough to be the ambassador of our hospital!”
Honestly, neither Mo Lan nor Zhang Rong had any idea about Jing Yiran’s physical condition. Both of them were very worried and assumed that the doctor from the other hospital was probably right.
If Jing Yiran was in perfect health, how come the only woman he had managed to impregnate, turned out to carry a baby who would eventually be born an invalid.
They had both ignored his idiosyncrasies in the past but not anymore. The old lady answered Mu Qing this time. “It’s not me who is here for a checkup. It is Ran who needs some help.”
Mu Qing surveyed Jing Yiran from his head to toe, and said reassuringly, “He looks just fine. He isn’t injured or anything, right?”
Although it was quite difficult for her to speak of such things, but the 70-year-old grandma loved her grandson a lot and wasn’t going to be shy as this was the question of the Jing Family’s future generations. She paused and said in a low voice, “He is not injured. The thing is – I wish to have a great-grandson. Could you kindly arrange for a professional expert to check him up in that aspect? If he really has a problem, we need to treat him as soon as possible. It mustn’t be delayed.”
Mu Qing looked at Jing Yiran, who was leaning against the wall. He tried to control his laughter seeing Jing Yiran’s fury and discomfort. Somehow, he stayed calm and said seriously, “You don’t need to look any further, Grandma. I am an expert in this field. Don’t worry, if Yiran is indeed healthy, then all is good. But if he is sick somehow, I will definitely get to the root of the problem and make sure that you are given the joy of being a great-grandmother, in the coming year!”
That was exactly what the old lady wanted to hear. She couldn’t help but smile and said happily, “Bless you, my child. You are a skilled doctor and I entrust Yiran into your capable hands!”
\r \r \r
Mu Qing thought to himself – Grandma Mo Lan would definitely be a great- grandparent next year. That it would be on account of Jing Yichen’s child, was a small technical detail that he refrained to mention. It would definitely not be because of Jing Yiran.
He nodded at the old lady and then smiled.
Soon, Jing Yiran was wheeled into the private ward, along with Grandma Mo Lan and Zhang Rong, so that Mu Qing could inspect him.
“Come, Second Master, take off your pants!”
Jing Yiran looked at him and tried in vain to insult Mu Qing. He said, “What do you mean, doctor? I don’t like men. I only like pretty girls with big breasts and asses! But if you really want to please me, I might consider it, though this place is terrible. We need a king-size bed.”
Mu Qing ignored him completely. He put on his mask and rubber gloves as he said calmly, “I hope that you can still talk with me in this arrogant manner, after I am done with you.”
Jing Yiran chose to keep quiet. An IV was inserted into his arm and he felt low on energy, in a matter of minutes.
Mu Qing helped him sit up and then carried him to the operation table. He then took off Jing Yiran’s trousers, exposing his bright red underpants.
Jing Yiran had no energy left in him, but he was still aware of what was happening. When Mu Qing was taking his pants off, he mumbled, “Mu Qing, if you dare to touch me one more time, I will definitely kill you!”
Mu Qing ignored him and his threats. Within the next minute, he took off Jing Yiran’s red underpants, exposing his penis.
“Aha, you are well endowed. No wonder you are busy fooling around all the time. What is confirmed though, is that you are definitely impotent. To help you to get over this problem, I will prescribe some supplementary drinks for you. Drink them often…… as often as you drink water. Soon you will be cured and be perfectly alright within a year.”
If looks could kill, Mu Qing would be a dead man; by the way that Jing Yiran stared at him. Unmindful of his deathly stares, Mu Qing continued, “Don’t move, okay? I am using some needles now. It might hurt a little bit but I’m sure that you will definitely be able to tolerate this pain. After all you are The Jing Yiran.”
As soon as he said this, he inserted a needle into Jing Yiran’s penis.
The screams inside the operation room lasted for a very long time. They broke Zhang Rong’s heart, while she waited outside. She asked Grandma Mo Lan, “Mom, you don’t think that Ran will have any problem, will he? Why does the treatment hurt so much?”
Mo Lan wasn’t so sure either, but she trusted Mu Qing’s professional skills. She comforted her. “Don’t worry, it will be fine. It’s possible that the treatment for this kind of problem is a painful one.”
Half an hour later, Mu Qing finally removed all the needles from Jing Yiran’s penis and then poured a bottle of medicine into Jing Yiran’s mouth, before he was finally done.
“Hey, what are you screaming about? This operation room is not soundproof and everyone outside must have heard you scream. I could do without this kind of bad publicity, you know.
I don’t want anyone to think that I am taking advantage of you. Also, you must know that I don’t like men; I only like pretty girls with big breasts and asses. He repeated the same words that Jing Yiran had said to him earlier.
Mu Qing felt much better, now that Jing Yiran was in pain. After all, it was Jing Yiran who had kidnapped Shangguan Ning from hospital, even though she was seriously unwell, so much so that she almost lost her life. Mu Qing had no choice but to request his grandpa to come and stabilise her condition at midnight.
It was a critical situation and Shangguan Ning was on life support. Mu Qing was very angry because of this and this was the time to seek revenge for Shangguan Ning’s sake.
Jing Yiran’s penis and his lower body had been punctured with needles, causing him a lot of pain. His face was no longer handsome and his eyes were devoid of their gleam.
Fifteen minutes later, the effect of the numbing drug started to fade away. Jing Yiran was finally able to get back on his feet. Ignoring the unbearable pain in his lower body, he pulled Mu Qing by his collar and punched him on his face, with as much strength as he could muster.
Blood gushed out of Mu Qing’s nose, breaking it instantly.
Jing Yiran was about to punch him once again when Mu Qing stopped him in time, by saying “One more punch and the rest of your life will be ruined. You will become a real eunuch!”
Jing Yiran’s hand, which was already in position to box Mu Qing, stiffened. Teeth clenched, he withdrew his hand and held back.
Mu Qing ignored his bleeding nose for now, so that he could earn some sympathy from Grandma Mo Lan later. He wanted to see her expressions, when he told that it was her beloved grandson who had caused him all this trouble.
If Mu Qing had made a single mistake with the needle, whilst he was inserting it into Jing Yiran’s penis, Jing Yiran would be rendered impotent for the rest of his life. Although Jing Yiran was livid with Mu Qing for choosing this method of treatment, he had no choice but to control his anger.
Jing Yiran could sense that something was definitely wrong with all of the events that had happened today. Mu Qing hadn’t even checked Jing Yiran completely before starting with his treatment. Mu Qing also did not try any other method of treatment. Mu Qing inserted needles into him the moment he was made to lie down on the operating table.
Suddenly the whole thing was as clear as day.
This was all staged.
And the man who had caused all of this to happen, could just be one person.
Jing Yichen!
Chapter 146: Right Treatment for the Right Disease (Part Three)

Jing Yiran was so angry, he was seething. He could kill Mu Qing this very moment, and not regret it one bit.
But Mu Qing wasn’t afraid of him. He said calmly. “I’m an expert at acupuncture, if I may say so myself. I created a process, specially customised to suit your needs. As a reward for your exemplary behaviour over the last few months, you will not be able to get intimate with a woman for a year, at least.”
This instigated Jing Yiran even further. In a fit of rage, he punched Mu Qing on his face once more.
Mu Qing winced in pain. Lying on the floor, he cried loudly, “One more punch and you will not be able to get intimate with a woman for the rest of your life!”
This threat seemed to have worked. Jing Yiran stopped instantly.
“I am not fooling around with you. What I have done to you can only be cured by me and no one else, so don’t waste your time and money, trying to get it rectified by someone other practitioner. Come to me for another acupuncture session after one year, so that you can live a normal life again.”
No intercourse for one year! That was like killing him!
In his mind, Jing Yiran saw the pieces of the jigsaw fall into place. By now he was certain, that all of this was the handiwork of Jing Yichen, including the plan of sending a pregnant woman to the Jing House.
He had walked into Yichen’s trap.
Mu Qing was hurt and in pain, but seeing Jing Yiran so angry and frustrated, gave him immense happiness.
“You better be on your best behaviour henceforth, if you don’t want to become a eunuch. I might cure you in less than a year, if I am impressed with you.”
\r \r \r
After Mu Qing said what he had to, he left the operation theatre. Standing there for longer would mean asking for trouble. Jing Yiran may just punch him again. Mu Qing was handsome and he knew it. He also knew how important his looks were, when it came to impressing the ladies. It would all come to nothing, if his face was ruined.
In the waiting lounge outside the operation room, Grandma Mu Lan and Zhang Rong were both waiting with bated breath. They stood up on seeing Mu Qing leave the operation theatre.
“How did it go, Doctor? How is Ran……?” Zhang Rong was more worried than Grandma Mu Lan. What if something happened to her son? What if he couldn’t have any children in the future? Family Jing would treat them as outcastes and moreover, Jing Yichen would be the sole heir to the Jing empire.
Mu Qing had blood all over his face, and some blood had stained the white hospital gown he was wearing. His well groomed hair was unkempt and he looked very messy.
The old lady was much calmer than Zhang Rong. She was certain that her grandson had punched Mu Qing when she saw Mu Qing in this pitiful condition.
She didn’t ask about Jing Yiran. Instead, she interrupted Zhang Rong and said in a remorseful voice, “Mu Qing, I am so sorry that Ran hurt you. You have such a big heart that you continued with his treatment despite his juvenile behaviour. I truly appreciate what you have done for us and for this, I owe you one.”
Mu Qing wiped off the blood from his nose and said quickly, “No, no, Grandma. Ran and I are good friends and he was just anxious because of his current condition. I don’t blame him at all. As long as he can be cured, I won’t complain, even if he punches me to death.”
Jing Yiran had walked towards them by now and had heard Mu Qing lie with a straight face. He wanted to punch him once more, but he dare not do that. After all,his mother and grandmother were right there and he knew very well that Mu Qing now had the power to decide when Jing Yiran would be able to get intimate with a woman, next.
Seeing her son look so pale, Zhang Rong went up to him and gave him a hug. She realised that his dark blue shirt was soaked with sweat. She asked, “Are you alright, Ran? Why are you sweating so much?”
Jing Yiran chose not to reply. He just gave Mu Qing a dirty look.
Mu Qing patiently explained to Zhang Rong and Grandma, “Well, Ran doesn’t have any serious physical ailment, but I think he has just gone overboard with a few things. Its a good thing that I have discovered the root of the problem, otherwise the consequences would have been dire.”
The old lady and Zhang Rong immediately understood what he meant. Jing Yiran never controlled his urges and fooled around with so many women. Of course he had overdone it. Both of them asked in unison, “What can be done to correct this, doctor?”
This seemed to be getting bad to worse, for Jing Yiran. Neither his grandma nor his mother chose to believe his version of things.Instead, they believed this quack, Mu Qing, who had almost killed him on the operating table.
Jing Yiran knew very well that he had not overdone it, contrary to what Mu Qing claimed.
He did have numerous affairs but all of this was just exaggerated in accordance to his image. In reality, he had been intimate with only a handful of women.
This self created casanova image had now come back to bite him. His mother and grandmother simple refused to believe him.
Jing Yiran finally realized how smart Jing Yichen was. Yichen had fabricated everything with such finesse that Jing Yiran had walked into his trap, out of his own accord. Yiran could see it but these two silly women were still falling in line with Jing Yichen’s plan, and they didn’t even know it. Jing Yiran imagined Yichen laughing at him.
He couldn’t take this for another minute, but clearly Mu Qing was not done with him yet. Mu Qing went on to say, “Ran deserves a good rest now. Although I did some acupuncture on him so that he feels better, yet it is not a foolproof method. The best prescription would be for him to rest at home and not get intimate with any woman for an entire year. If he chooses to ignore my advice, the treatment that we have done so far will be of no use. I will prescribe some traditional Chinese medicine for him later which can be boiled in water and he can sip on it, through the day, once he gets home. He is not allowed to eat meat or spicy food. He also mustn’t smoke or drink alcohol, during the course of his treatment. Maintain a stable temperament and don’t get too excited or depressed. Try to control your temper too, as that is very important……”
Mu Qing went on and on for some time and both the women hung onto every word he said. From the looks of it, it seemed that they were definitely going to follow Mu Qing’s plan of treatment, to the T. Jing Yiran couldn’t believe that he would have to lead a life of abstinence for an entire year.
He may as well become a monk, if he followed Mu Qing’s line of treatment.
Mu Qing saw them off, after spending the entire afternoon with them.
Immediately after they left, he called Jing Yichen. He sounded very excited and said, “Master Jing, I did it. Thanks to my work, he is not going to be able to indulge in sexual intercourse, for at least one year! Hahaha, also, Grandma Mu Lan is definitely going to keep a check on him and his mother has promised that she would be even stricter than her. Looks like Jing Yiran is all set to be celibate, for the next twelve months.
Jing Yichen didn’t mirror Mu Qing’s excitement, because he knew Jing Yiran better than Mu Qing did.
He knew very well that Jing Yiran was too smart for this. Yiran would definitely not follow Mu Qing’s advice. Judging from Jing Yiran’s personality, it was absolutely unrealistic to expect him to abstain from all his vices for this long.
However, Jing Yichen wasn’t done with his revenge as yet. He still had a few more surprises in store for Yiran.
He said to Mu Qing,”Thank you for your assistance. Keep an eye out for him, will you? Also, when Grandma Mu Lan visits you next, just make the disease sound even more dire.”
After he was done speaking with Mu Qing, he disconnected the line. He then summoned Tiger into the study.
“How is it going on with Xie Zhuojun?”
