A few hours later, in the middle of the night, Jiang Mei eventually returned back to the guild house when everyone was asleep. However, when she went into Xiao Fang's room, she was surprised to see him sweating as if he was having a bad dream.

Jiang Mei undressed herself then crawled into the sheets beside him before gently waking him up.

"Fang, wake up. You're having a bad dream," she said.

Xiao Fang eventually woke up with a splitting headache.

"Fang, what's wrong?" Jiang Mei asked worriedly.

Eventually the pain subsided then what followed was silence and clarity.

"I remember," Xiao Fang said under his breath.

"What do you remember?" Jiang Mei said.

Realizing where he was, Xiao Fang quickly calmed down. The nightmares didn't stop after he went back to sleep, instead he continued to recall more events where Yu An erased more of his memory about things she didn't particularly like or agree with, specifically the things his grandfather taught him.

"It's nothing, just something about my past," he replied to Jiang Mei before shaking Xiao Hei awake.

Xiao Hei whined and rolled over, stuffing her head between Su Yun's tits as if they were pillows.

"Xiao Hei, get up. We need to go," Xiao Fang said with a bit of urgency.

"Where're you going?" Jiang Mei asked.

"I need to go back home, it's related to my family," Xiao Fang answered.

Xiao Hei finally took her head out of Su Yun's tits when she heard him say they were going back to the Divine Sword sect.

"Ah, are we finally leaving this place? We should bring Li Lian with us," Xiao Hei said.

"No time. Hurry up and get ready," he replied.

Hearing that, Xiao Hei quickly got out of bed then put on some normal peoples clothes.

"Fang, wait. How long will you be gone for?" Jiang Mei asked.

"I don't know. I could be back by tomorrow or a few days from now," he replied.

"Ah, I was afraid you'd say that. If you don't show up to class tomorrow, you could face some serious consequences," Jiang Mei said.

Xiao Fang thought it was a stupid rule to punish disciples for missing class, but he knew he couldn't do anything about it.

"What if I leave a clone here to attend class for me?"

"That won't work. There are several formations in place to prevent disciples from doing that very thing," Jiang Mei replied.

Xiao Fang paused as he thought, but before he could come up with another idea, Su Yun unexpectedly spoke.

  "Go," she said.

"What do you mean by that?" Jiang Mei asked.

"I'm telling him to go. Don't worry about getting in trouble. Your teacher, Su Lingxi, is my older sister," Su Yun explained.

Xiao Fang didn't really care if he got in trouble or not, but if he could avoid it, then he would certainly try.

"Thanks, Su Yun. I'll make it up to you, I promise," Xiao Fang said before getting up to get dressed.

  "Xiao Hei, let's go."

  "Un!"……

Xiao Fang left a [ Solid Clone ] behind then exited the guild house with Xiao Hei. Since they were now inner court disciples, they didn't need to be doing a mission to leave the sect. So, as soon as they were ready, they immediately left.

Sparks of lightning began to emerge from Xiao Fang's body shortly after he started running.

[ True Immortal Lightning Tribulation ]

Xiao Fang's hair, eyes, and aura became white and electric, but it didn't harm Xiao Hei. In the next moment, they disappeared.

On the road, Xiao Fang explained to Xiao Hei what he saw. The scariest thing about it was that he wasn't able to remember it until today. If his mother could really erase parts of his memory, then how many things did she force him to forget?

"Xiao Hei, have you ever heard of someone that could erase parts of someone's memory?"

Xiao Hei thought for a moment then replied.

"No, I haven't. I don't think that's even possible with any kind of technique, but if it was, then that would explain a lot about what happened to Xun Wei," Xiao Hei added.

"What happened to Xun Wei?" Xiao Fang quickly asked.

"Don't you remember? The last time you took all of us to the Divine Sword Sect, there was an incident where Xun Wei ran into someone that gave her an eerie cultivation pill. You then asked her who gave it to her, in which she replied-"

"She couldn't remember," Xiao Fang finished her sentence.

"Yeah, but she did say that she remembered one thing about him though."

"What did she remember?" Xiao Fang asked.

"She said she remembered thinking that his eyes looked familiar."

Xiao Fang went silent for a few moments then said,

"No, Yu An and I should be the only 2 Dual Cultivators alive. The rest of them were killed off over 20 years ago."

"How can you be sure?" Xiao Hei replied.

Xiao Fang paused in thought for a moment as he recalled Yu An's first words to him when she saw his violet eyes for the first time.

  'They look just like his……'

At the time, he assumed she was talking about his father, Xiao Jianhong, but as far as he's been told, his father didn't have violet eyes like him. However, Xiao Fang also knew that a heartless man like his grandfather would never have let a single Dual Cultivator go, so the last place a Dual Cultivator would want to be is here in this province.

"But why now. Why would I suddenly remember?"

Xiao Hei also paused in thought, but a few moments later her eyebrows perked up when she came up with an answer.

  "The red resistance core!"

"What about it?" Xiao Fang replied.

"The poison resistance core you absorbed doesn't just protect you from physical poisons, but spirit poisons and other debuffs as well. For it to take this long for you to remember, that could only mean the technique used to suppress your memory must've been extremely strong."

Xiao Fang didn't know much about the red core he absorbed, but if it could really protect him from all kinds of debuff effects like Xiao Hei said it did, then that would explain why he was able to remember. He thought about it for a bit longer but eventually pushed it to the back of his mind,

"Forget it, I'll get all the answers I need when we get there."
