"We are really an Idiot, you know?" The Werewolf asked suddenly, shocking the hell out of me. The Grimms always consider themselves above us; even dying Grimm would gloat about their superiority.
In all my years of experience with the Grimms, I have never heard any Grimm Monsters calling themselves an idiot.
"The higher-ups have repeated orders, every one of us to use our full power against the top human's elites, the moment we see you; finish you off before you could think much less get rescued," It said, confirming the Grimm order our intelligence I was able to find out.
I am pretty high in the young human elite list that Grimm has; I came second, right below that of the jill.
"But we, I included, would always waste time talking and using the useless moves instead of using our full power; it is due to this damning superior nature of us, we have failed to kill a lot many of you," It said gripping its fur above its heard before it turned to me with its eyes blazing.
Seeing the emotions in its eyes, I was barely able to contain my shudder and immediately activated the second boost and prepared to activate the third at a moment's notice.
"But no more," "Micheal Zaar, you will now suffer the full might of my Nine Annihilation Suns!" It said with its golden eyes shining brightly.
"Annihilation Meteors!" It roared, and was immensely powerful spheres of flames came out of nine suns and flew into the sky with a speed that I was barely able to track and disappeared a moment later.
"Die Zaar!"
It said, and the scenery around turned bright yellow as nine huge meteors appeared in the sky, and they were coming at me with extremely fast speed.
These meteors are huge and destructive, and there is no place to hide or run in front of it as it had locked the space. Other attacks are not capable of this fear, but Grand Arts could; nearly every Grand Art has the ability to lock the space, and my mother's empire of mist is quite good at it.
'It seemed like this attack would be a perfect way for me to use that move,' I thought and activated the move while keeping my shield on the button; I didn't know whether it would work as I had expected, if it did not then I want my shields, I would not able to survive without them.
This new move of mine is quite recent but is complete, and I would like to see its defensive power as it would free up my shields, and I would use my strings for the shields for different use.
"Petals Embrace," I said softly, and thousands of light pick rose petals began to come out of me and flew up.
By the time meteors had covered half a distance, these petals had clouded the sky above me so densely that I could see anything in the sky.
Soon, the nine huge meteors crashed against petals, and instead of forming a rigid wall, the petals began to stick themselves to the meteorite.
Such behavior had surprised the Grimm Grandmaster, but what happened next shocked it; it had never would have expected these petals would do something that.
The petals stuck around the meteorites like stickers before they begin to funnel out their energy at a rapid pace, turning fiery energy into a non-threatening mist and that is making the meteors look like punctured balloons.
They are rapidly losing their power and also their size.
The scenery is beautiful yet comical; such a powerful attack of the Grand Art is being reduced to this state in such a way. I almost felt an urge to apologize to the Werewolf, turning its might attacks into this.
Boom Boom Boom
I moved two steps forward as tiny meteors crashed against me; from their original size of more than three meters long, they had turned to palm-size fireballs by the time they have crashed into the ground.
It took a few seconds before the explosion cleared, and I have got a clear look at the Werewolf again.
It had controlled its emotions, and there was even a barely visible soft smile hanging on its face. It is a smile; it has a hard time controlling but is barely able to do it, and if I wasn't looking for a sign, I wouldn't have caught it.
"So, it seemed like you have finally finished with your preparations," I said with a smile, totally confident in my deduction. It is not just a deduction; I could literally sense it, had been sensing it since it began a few seconds after I appeared on the battlefield.
A surprise couldn't help but flash into its eyes, and this one was genuine; all the other reactions it had were fake, carefully orchestrated to hide what it was doing; even its rant earlier was fake, to keep me sensing a real thing.
"When have you sensed it?" It asked as it controlled its expressions, "Since you have begun," I replied, which again genuinely surprised it.
"You should have run away then, Zaar; you might have been able to save your life, but now that I fished with my preparations, you stood a no chance," It said, and I have agreed in some way, and I understood the risks, but I still stayed.
In the current age, Nine Suns Annihilation is considered the most powerful Grand Art, and the leader of the coven is a terror with it.
This Werewolf may have fractions of that comprehension, but it still poses a mortal threat to me, who is quite difficult to kill. With my current strength, only those with council members strength to kill me, and this bastard's strength is quite close to it.
What it had till now was not even 50% of its power; since the beginning, it had been preparing for its strongest move to kill me, unlike the other idiots Grimms I had fought through the months.
