BOOOM BANNNG BAMMM!
I was still cursing that bastard bishop when I appeared on the battlefield, filled with deafening sounds and obliterating shockwaves.
In front of me, I saw nine Grandmasters and two High Grandmasters fighting against Fourteen Grandmasters and Four High Grandmasters.
It was the most intense battle I had ever seen; far more intense than when the Grand Lords fought when Grimm Grand Lords came to kill me after my breakthrough; that battle was quite muted.
I could already see some familiar faces in humans, some of them I know quite well. There are even a few Grimm Monsters that I read about. Some of them are really hard to kill, like Bazw, that bastard is too fast, faster than me.
As we appeared, I saw several powerful soul senses locking on us, including the soul senses of High Grandmasters; though they did not move to attack us, and we also faded from the view; as orders say, we were to only take action when humans are in danger, or someone attacks us, I very much hope they do.
As I looked around, confusion couldn't help but appear on my face.
Gardas valley is an important battlefield, important enough to have a peak Grandmaster in charge and three lower-level Grandmasters.
Pretty decisive battles happen here every week, but they have never reached this degree as it is now, and they might become even more intense. Both sides might keep pouring Grandmasters after Grandmasters before anyone knows, Grand Lords join the battle.
It has happened many times throughout history; war is not something you can control; there are many factors that dictate its flow.
If things escalate to the extreme, the final battle might occur today, or it would take years; nothing can be sure when it comes to war.
It is not just Grandmasters that are present on the battlefield but also other lower-level powerhouses, millions of them. Looking at the signs below, they have fought an intense battle before Grandmasters and Grand Lord stepped in, and now they are just standing in their fortresses.`
Both sides are fighting intensely, but one can see it the battles are at a standstill; the humans are on slightly defensive, but the Grimms are not making any gains either.
As I had said, things could change anytime, and I really hope they did. I really wanted to fight, and I was not the only one; I could see the battle spirit burning in Sarah yes, and her whole body was shaking. She is barely able to control herself to not jump in the battle.
This is the type of environment Sarah loves; she is a war angel who likes to fight the most.
While I did not speak to her, I have heard about her a lot; before becoming a Tyrant, she was very active on the battlefields. She had led hundreds of battles and killed Elite and Leader class Tyrant while still being Emperor.
There are very few who come close to her battles; even I did not fight as much as battles as she did.
A few more minutes passed, and no dramatic changes had occurred, which was really disappointing but at least I was not bored.
My avatar is still sorting up the huge collection of books, and each book is making me happy. This collection is different than the one I had found in the old Foxman's storage, where nearly 70% of books were related to two subjects, poison, and runology.
This collection is much wider; there are all types of books here; there are even books on the subject like machinery and astrology.
Still, I wish some big change to occur; I had just made an advancement, and I like to test it. There are some powerful Grimms here that I would very much like to fight.
Hun!
A few minutes passed, and I had nearly lost hope something interesting had happened when suddenly my expression changed.
I sensed the spatial fluctuations, and with it, two Grimms have appeared; they have kept themselves hidden as we are, but I could see them, and so is Sarah, as her eyes blazed.
She might have been able to sense them, but I doubt she was able to sense their level and their aura, which they kept very tightly sealed. I sensed it all through my rule-bending power, and it couldn't help but make me excited.
Those two are just like Sarah, an Initial Grandmaster with a powerful core; they would be a tough challenge if we fought against them, but it seems like that is likely to happen.
Like us, they seemed to have been ordered to take action when something dramatic happened; otherwise, they would have acted already.
It is really depressing, but there is nothing we could do against it.
Another twenty-some minutes passed, and people on both sides gave a few injuries to one another, but that is all. One time, I had really thought I would need to take action to same a Mid-class Grandmaster, but she brought out a powerful defensive method to defend.
Hun!
In what seemed like days, the opportunity had finally arrived.
Grandmaster Seha was finally able to bind the Snow Werewolf in her lightning chains, which I had not thought she would be able to do, but Werewolf's idiocy has given her a chance, and now she has begun to electrocute to death.
The Werewolf is struggling hard, but the lightning has numbed its movements and burning it; if it continued, then it would burn to death within ten seconds, and of course, the Grimms wouldn't let that happen.
"Ceased wretched human," "Human, stop!"
Four Grimms shouted, including the two hiding and moved, but it was not them that shocked me but the attack of Snow Werewolf, a High Grandmaster who attacked from above with thousands of ice lances before the moving to defend against the attack of Lord Da.
Lord Da moved to destroy the attack, but the other Grimm High Grandmaster stopped it while the other Human High Grandmaster was too far to do anything.
