Chapter 391: Lilith - Wraith
Approaching the reasonably attractive woman, who held long dark grey hair and a bony face, I tapped her thin shoulder, "Hey, do you know what is going on?"
Turning her head filled with disgust, she eyed me up and down, "Another slut? You people are quite abundant."
Twitching my brow, Arsene immediately turned his head. Trembling as not to laugh, he turned around.
"I am Lili. Do you know who they are?" I patiently asked, but the woman before scuffed.
"Did you not hear? Or is your talent only in spreading your legs?"
Lost for words, my jaw dropped. I cannot say I was mad but rather impressed that such a person can exist so full of themselves.
"AHAHAH~" Bursting into laughter, Arsene turned to me, clenching his stomach, "AHAHA~."
Clenching my teeth, I lowered my head in defeat.
"Sene, are you really going to let her talk me like this?" I cutely complained, lifting my teary eyes towards him. Shaking as not to cry, his laughter only grew as he fell on the ground.
"Damn it, Snow!" I shouted, sending a ruthless kick towards his nuts.
However, to my surprise, his legs suddenly moved onto themselves, blocking my strike as he cried and laughed, "My nut game is 100!!!!!"
"You're a dick!" I shouted, storming away.
Making my way towards the head of the crowd, I saw three Crimson Cores members carrying arrogant expressions.
"Wow, you can definitely pass. Never seen you around here. What's your name." A somewhat attractive man asked, "I'm Siael."
"You're cute! I'm Lili. Care to walk me up?" I innocently started sending a subtle glance towards Arsene, who quickly halted his crazed laughter—shifting his dark gaze towards me, he snorted as I crossed my arms with Siael. "Please~" I lustfully whispered into his ear.
"Anything for my lady,' Siael voiced in a tone befitting a gentleman. Observing his friends glaring in jealousy, my face suddenly became wet. Tilting my head, my eyes grew wide at the sight before me.
Brutally tearing his head from his body Arsene appeared glaring with fire within his eyes, "You're a sore loser!" he shouted before pointing towards that bitch! "She is just some useless cunt. Why get so mad!"
Pouting at my date fall limp within my hands, I dropped Siael's still body, "You asshole! Then why the hell did you laugh so hard!" I screamed back as Siael fellow disples cried in alarm.
"Siael!"
Drawing their swords, the glint of spear intent flashed, followed by the sight of two heads flying high into the air. Staining the edge of the mountain with blood, Arsene Stared at me with his smoldering dark eyes that reflected a mysterious lake. "It's just a game, dear. I just didn't think such an average woman with nothing special about her would behave like that. She is so arrogant!"
Puffing my cheeks, he faintly smiled, patting my head. Nodding inwardly at the head pats, I hummed in response to his touch.
"Do you realize what you have done!" the onlookers, who I honestly forgot about, shouted, pointing towards the dead bodies. They did not seem frightful Arsene killed someone but rather horrified by the implications.
Pushing her way from out of the crowd, that average bitch glared with fire in her eyes, "Do you know what happens to a dead body upon this land?" She shouted with the air of a cold, ruthless tyrant.
Shooting her a glance, I wondered if I should separate her head from her body when all of a sudden, a dense wave of Yin Qi began to rise. Shuddering at the sudden surge of cold air, everyone grew silent.
Yet within the silence, a mist slowly washed over us, followed by a deep depraved growl. Taking a silent less step by Arsene's side, our gaze never left the rear where we just came from.
Peering past the mist growing thicker by the second, a set of crimson orbs reflected into my eyes as I shouted in fear, "Oh shit! It's a Wraith! RUN!!!!!"
Pulling Arsene with my hands, a massive roar that shook the entire mountain resounded. Pushing qi into my eyes to defend myself, spiral qi covered my body as I shot through space faster than a bolt of lightning.
"What the hell is that? Its Aura…… its Aura is strange!" Arsene shouted by my side.
"It's a monster from the Etherial Plane! Normal attacks will not work on it. And based upon the number of people we killed, this thing could be a False God!" I explained, glancing back at the magical mist that seemed to restrict my vision. Unsure what was going on, the sounds of screams began to ring within my ears.
"We didn't even kill that much, I killed two hundred and ten, and you were about the same! What the hell is going on." He hastily asked, taking my arm before blinking away!
Moving faster than I originally imagined, I spoke, "It's like a summoning! The more you kill, the likelier a Wraith can be born. But from that cunts words, I think this mountain has a protector, and that's the Wraith. We need to be careful,"
"Guessing that was the reason killing was prohibited," He muttered, coming to a halt just outside of the magical mist that seemed to block Dao from peering inside. Scratching my brow, I took the time to narrow my eyes towards the top of this mountain.
A Wraith? Why the hell does this mountain have such a thing? Could it be why a Nexus Gate was abandoned? No! Something else is going on!
"Arsene, I think Ren might have screwed—"
Halting my words, the glint of a black blade captured fell into my sights. Widening my eyes at how close the blade was almost at my neck, I instinctively knew that I would not be able to summon my sword and defend.
However, just as I was about to be hit, Arsene shadow stepped the both of us away, dodging a fatal blow.
"AHHHHHHHHHH~" Howling in madness, a towering monster covered in a decrepit robe appeared. Gripping a large bloody scythe, its hollow eyes that seemed to glow crimson shone a deep killing intent. Its face was hidden beneath its robes, but I could feel a heavy chill within my bones.
Pulling out the Spear of Noctem, Arsene held a chilling expression, "Do we need Morningstar for this thing?" he asked, sensing the endless surge of Yin Qi upon the mountain emanating from this thing.
"Two-thirds of my Qi will be drained," I explained as the skies became filled with ancient sigils. Within the center, however, stood the sigil of Lucifer. Feeling space begins to tremble and bend at its power, I tried to contain the horrifying evil emanating from these emblems in hopes of not gathering too much attention.
Clenching my hands, along Golden Blade covered in ancient script that sent my blood into a state of chaos rippled into creation. Shifting my gaze on the Wraith growling beneath its dark robes, I got into stance.
"Lilith, killing this thing will not be in our best interest. It will take too much. We need to find a way to escape or send this Wraith onto a poor bastard."
