Chapter 583 - Parting Of Heaven And Earth
Walking into Yu Lan's throne room, where the queen resided, I glanced at her magnificent black dress, wrapped tightly around her body. Showcasing her cleavage with pride, she shot me a knowing glance and crossed her arms over her chest.
"It's your wedding, you know." she mocked with disapproval.
I chuckled, with Mimir by my side. I shook my head, "Yura approved that dress?"
"She insisted on it." She remarked, somewhat perplexed. Rising from her throne, she glanced at Mimir and then to me, "What of Freya?"
"Her identity is heavily linked to Asura. I needed her to stick this one out. Mimir, however, is more than willing to assist you. How is Karsa and Christofer? Are they ready?"
Walking down the stairs of her throne, a warm smile filled with bloodlust arose from her cherry lips, "I know you will not allow me to kill her, but if I see a chance, I will go in for the kill."
"I told you she would say that," Mimir remarked swiftly, twirling his hair with his finger, his scarlet eyes hummed with a scheme, "but it's of no consequence, Lady Yu Lan. Go about your business, and let me handle the rest when facing Aiza."
"Fine," She coldly declared, but I could still see the torn in her eyes.
I know Yu Lan wished to torture Aiza, but the sweet taste of quick revenge was too hard for her to pass up. The taste of desperation on Yu Lan was visible to everyone with a brain. It was not hard to see; her words from before meant nothing. She wanted a quick release.
"Send the video to the angels, in the clouds, then send it to every major family." I gave the command to Yu Lan, who nodded grimly.
"This will destroy that girl. More so than she already is." She claimed, making me wonder why she was telling me this.
There was no such thing as 'do on to you as you do onto others.' That was a stupid rule meant to protect the weak. I feast on the weak. Larisa, that poor peasant, will learn the cold truth; if she is lucky, she will kill herself. If she is unlucky, if Richter returns on time, he will definitely kill his woman. So either way, it will break him, and as his dear brother, I will be there to pick up his broken heart.
"Fine, but before I do, I must prepare Yura's work of Art. She went all out on the money." Lan added as a voice filled with agreement spoke.
"Allow me, Lan. It will be my honor to gaze upon my Granddaughter's creation." Tang Feng cheered, appearing like a ghost to my side. He shot Mimir a stern glance filled with suspicion and rested his eyes on Lan.
Lowering her head with grace, Yu Lan spoke, 'But of course, my King." She addressed, vanishing from sight.
Arching my lips, the Old Man shot me a severe look, "You ready? There is no turning back."
"There was no turning back when the Angels came after me. The same goes for the court of Nox. I have already taken care of Sulton. He will no longer be an issue once Nox and the Angels learn that his Granddaughter is my toy."
"You disgust me at times, my boy." He uttered, and I chuckled.
"So is the tragedy of war. You caused this the moment you had me become king. What does that say of you, then it does me? There is no need for a mask before a devil, Tang Feng." I elegantly declared, walking to Yu Lans throne.
The Celestial King grew silent and followed behind. Stopping at the Iron Throne, we stood, facing each other with passive expressions. Lifting his hand, my eyes suddenly grew wide as everything around me began to fade away in a gust of golden fireflies.
That was when the light nodes began to congeal beneath my feet, covering the skies in a radiant golden light; they twisted into the magical crest of Lilith and mine. When a pillar of radiance swept over me as we appeared within the Heavens, gazing down upon the earth.
However, the golden nodes had yet to fade as a stairwell formed by light particles slowly began to connect with the crest beneath my feet and to Alos. Touching upon the waters, the very city before my eyes parted like the Red Sea. Revealing a runway filled with water that slowly began to rise, swallowing as far as the horizon with its debts.
It was breathtaking. To see from high up the amazing sea still as a crystal lake and the golden light that rustle through the breeze revealing a godsent beauty beneath the shadows of ships and angels. While below the water, it was as if life had continued on its own, as if the water had not affected them in the slightest.
Soaring up to Tang Feng and Me, Mimir's eyes sparkled as fourteen white marble pillars emerged from the sea, with seven pillars on each side. On the left, I gazed upon the Sigils of Seven Sins, carrying a serpent that revealed a name that was etched into all Devils.
The Great Serpent, Lucifer.
Nonetheless, on the right held the Seven Virtues, upheld by all that was good. Branded into sigils upon each pillar, the sight of angels carved into each pillar took to my heart.
Clouding Heaven and Earth in contradiction, a wave of judgment washed over my soul. Obscuring my mind, I fell to my knees as everything grew silent. The winds calmed, the light faded, and the darkness ceased being.
I didn't know why, but I knew he was watching. The One was watching everything. Holding me in his eternal eyes, I lowered my head in pure respect as the pressure upon my soul vanished, and the laughter of Vancurro echoed.
"Did your wife not tell you she invited her true father?" He claimed, flashing to my side in a bolt of golden light. Baring a cheeky smile, he bowed towards the heavens and cuffed his hands. Taking a few moments as if he were in prayer, he arose and shot me a smirk. "Your wife is going to kill you one day. Zero and I have a bet to see; who kills who first? Will Aurelia kill Zariel, or will Lilith kill you?"
Chuckling grimly, I looked up the heavens and followed Vancurros's movement. Only then did I respond to this petty bastard by flicking him off.
Cracking up in laughter, I could see a questioning look upon Tang Feng and Mimir, but I did not bother to explain what had happened. The moment the One's presence descended, a sensation of belonging covered me whole. There was a fear I could not deny, but there was something more I could not explain hidden within that fear.
Lifting my head over Casia, I released a breath of air and smiled, "I think God just gave me permission to marry his daughter…… Yeah, that has to be it." I claimed gleefully, nodding my head at my greatness.
"you're an idiot." Vancurro mocked, slapping the back of my head, "No wonder it took you so long to revive…… There is no changing that narcissistic personality."
