His roar was accompanied by erratic thunderous explosions created with Five-Style Tempest (5 hit combo). He recklessly swung his weapon and slashed the Malevolent Archdemon, aiming for the monster’s shoulder, head, or body…… The violet thunderous radiance emitted from the sword’s tip flashed quicker and quicker with each strike!

  Bang! Bang! Bang!

  Brother’s Da had completely ditched his previous battle style, which was rather steady and boring in the past. Under Little Apple’s guidance as a fellow Zephyrus Swordmaster, he now began to focus more on the swift attribute of the wind element and the strength of the thunder element. As such, his attack was now more flexible. One might even be able to vaguely see Slayer’s Heart’s shadow in his fight.

  Brother Da was allowed to take part in the battle since Qin Ruo’s Elemental Perception could multitask just fine—it served as an efficient pathfinder, which could reveal any invisible units and allowed him to be aware of every monster present within their fifty-meter radius. Thus, Brother Da and Gold Digger Babe were no longer required to stand sentry and signaled warnings to the team from the periphery.

  From Slayer’s Heart and Little Apples’ perspective, Brother Da fighting skill was still too pathetic to look at…… However since he humbly approached the leader in a studious manner to ask for advice and guidance from the experienced senior after witnessing Slayer’s Heart fight firsthand, he was granted special permission to join the battle. Slayer’s Heart even specifically instructed Little Apple and Violet Orchid to be his personal trainer, not in the hopes of drastically improving his battle ability, but to at least instill a certain degree of realization in him as a combatant!

  Thus, in all successive battles across the jungle, Qin Ruo was simultaneously a vanguard, scout, main attacker, and sentinel. Though he carried the heaviest load with so many important roles to play, he was not overwhelmed owing to the convenience of Elemental Perception. Thanks to his effectiveness in these roles, Brother Da who was previously staying passive had slowly turned into a ” trainaholic 1 “.……

  He would be leading the charge as long as the number of Malevolent Archdemons that they encountered were not more than three. In the beginning, it was quite grueling for Brother Da at Level 40 to go against the Level 47 Malevolent Archdemons. He was constantly outmatched, sometimes even to the extent where he almost fell at the Malevolent Archdemon’s hands.

  Thankfully he was not only escorted by a professional player but also shielded!

  Whenever Brother Da was in danger, Violet Orchid’s Purification and Healing would protect him. It was just that the one being shielded was not used to it which thus disrupted his combo attacks.

  This was when Little Apple would come into the picture.

  Despite her initial dissatisfaction being tasked by Violet Orchid and Slayer’s Heart to look after the fatty, she eventually had fun guiding him throughout the process……

  At first, Brother Da’s movements were rather stiff. Perhaps because he was scrutinized by actual elite players beside him, his performance was not even on par with that of an ordinary Tier 4 player. However, following a short period of silence due to his constant failures, Brother Da slowly came to realize the main role of the Priest Violet Orchid in the battle. He figured that as long as she was alive, he would survive too. Moreover, he already had enough embarrassment. Thus, he was able to relax and ask for Little Apple’s advice humbly, while also put in his best effort to revise and imitate the move used by Slayer’s Heart against the Malevolent Archdemon.

  Brother Da only got a glimpse of Slayer Heart’s move, so it was impossible for him to completely master it. Without the proper basics, long-term practice, sufficient coordination, and adaptation, there was no chance one could be as skillful instantly.

  Brother Da failed copying time and time again, but he quickly regained himself and relentlessly launched the next wave of desperate attacks with Violet Orchid and Little Apples’ help……

  “Don’t overjump when you launch Skythunder Slash…… It’s time-consuming.”


  Every time Little Apple helped Brother Da block an attack, she would voice out to remind Brother Da about his weakness. “Thunderstrike emphasizes on attribute effects and attack speed instead of attack power. Wave your sword in a smaller arc like this……”


  As she spoke, Little Apple decisively put a quick cut through the Malevolent Archdemon. The latter was then stunned and lost its gathered momentum, with its body slightly paralyzed.

  The next instance, Brother Da seized the opportunity and followed up with another strike. He kept the teachings of the younger Little Apple firm in his mind, and his subsequent action slowly took a more standard stance.

  “This is not how you wield Five-Style Tempest, are you filming a movie? It should be like this……”


  Right after Brother Da’s used Five-Style Tempest, Little Apple immediately led by example from far. She raised her sword and slashed it horizontally to release a two-meter-long violet radiance extending out from the tip of the sword. Without the need to close the gap with the Malevolent Archdemon, the Dark Phoenix Spellbreaker Sword was withdrawn to her hand immediately after it slashed through the target!

  As Brother Da watched on in astonishment, Little Apple’s Five-Style Tempest instantly drew a second wound on the Malevolent Archdemon before the first strike faded……

  In the next three rolling attacks, Little Apple spun vertically by 180 degrees in a manner different to Brother Da’s prior understanding. Three sword radiances enchanted by the wind and thunder element were like three boomerang rolls of a Berserker, which were quickly shot out within a second and blasted Malevolent Archdemon to death.

  Brother Da looked at Little Apple, who had graciously sat down with her leg crossed in awe.

  ‘Holy shit! She completed Five-Style Tempest within two seconds without compromising the damage. This is great! What if this is used against an opponent player……’


  Five times Tier 3 attacks in quick succession, magnificent!

  In a heartbeat, he started calling her “Sister Apple” and closed in with a bright smile to learn more about her Five-Style Tempest. The act of Brother Da calling Little Apple “Sister” with his big size and older age had left everyone else speechless.

  Coming back to the present, each time Brother Da went back to the battlefield, Qin Ruo, Slayer’s Heart, and Violet Orchid could gradually sense Brother Da improvement, albeit at an insignificant rate. At the very least, the clumsy Brother Da who required frequent assistance (Four to five times by count) from Little Apple at the beginning had become steadier now. Toward the end, he only needed minor help from Little Apple, while also began to coordinate better with Violet Orchid’s Purification to greatly reduce the time span he was affected by the Malevolent Archdemon attack midway through the fight.

  Battling all the way deep into Silentdeath Jungle, they still did not manage to obtain any monster’s Pet Egg after taking out a number of Darkshadow Archdemons. Under Brother Da’s influence however, few persons in the party also began to work on improving their own ability.

  Aside from Burning Rose that was obsessed about Elementalism, Dinosaurcerer and Gold Digger Babe were also among those who tried to strengthened their skills……

  The former was motivated by Qin Ruo who had surpassed her from way behind. Due to her strong competitiveness, she would experiment with the most basic Elementalism whenever she has the time. She would swing around the forest while manipulating the fire element, which terrified the other nine of them as they were afraid that she might accidentally burn the whole forest down.

  As for Dinosaurcerer and Gold Digger Babe Babe, they realized their shortcomings with superior players like Slayer’s Heart, Qin Ruo and Little Apple in front of them. They were also motivated by Brother Da perseverance and never-say-die attitude. Hence, the two of them put all their spare time into good use by beginning their own personal training as well.

  Slayer’s Heart observed all this silently while resting.

  Although these individuals were still beginners from Slayer’s Heart’s point of view, they were all feisty individuals who had a strong desire to excel.

  This was especially true for Brother Da. Although he the least proficient because of his body shape and movements, his spirit was commendable! If he could maintain such a positive attitude after this, it was hard to tell whether he would one day become one of the elite players. After all, he had witnessed League members one after another who had successfully reached position hailed by most ordinary players simply through persistent hard work.

  On the other hand, Dinosaurcerer and Gold Digger Babe also had their own merits.

  Violetmoon Devilite is a Radiant Priest, so at the moment her ability and future were still unclear. She would however stick with Violet Orchid most of the time, to learn from her experience. She always chatted with Violet Orchid and called her “Sister” now. Perhaps Violet Orchid had told Violetmoon Devilite her self-discovered secret about the Priest class by now. Then again, these two might have a predestined fate, as the first part of their names were the same—Violet.

  After resting for a short while, they once again resumed their journey!

  After spent more than six hours in Silentdeath Jungle, they finally obtained the first Pet Egg of the day. Unfortunately, it was not dropped by Darkshadow Archdemon, but just a normal “Enhanced Monster” Pet Egg.

  When they finally obtained the Level 47 Pet Egg, the facial expressions of the ten players in the party were rather complicated. Along the way, they had collaboratively annihilated more than three hundred Malevolent Archdemons and fifteen Darkshadow Archdemons. After all these struggles they only obtain one single Malevolent Archdemon’s Pet Egg…… If the drop rate of the Darkshadow Archdemon’s Pet Egg followed this ratio…… How many days would it take to get one?

  Fortunately, there were a lot of other rewards along the way. The number of acquired Tier 4 Advance White, Blue, and Violet Equipment had exceeded seventy. The amount of Gold Equipment dropped from Darkshadow Archdemon alone were as many as eighteen. Thirteen of them came with trash attributes, but four of them were considered great! In addition to the fifteen Honor Points gained by defeating the Demon Faction players, these extra gains lifted their moods a little.

  Only Slayer’s Heart and Violet Orchid were relatively down and dissatisfied. But since it was already two in the morning, they had to go offline and rest now as they still had to go to class or work later……
