  Most of the Tier 5 players only had some legendary equipment on them and the most damage they could coax out was around 300…… Only a few elites that possessed much better gear could properly produce damage that was higher than 400 points.

  A “normal” Lich usually only had about 320 to 340 points of Magic Resistance but yet, this one had over 400…… Even the strongest Elementalist among them could only coax out minimal damage on this Mutated Lich. Not even with his strongest attacks.

  There was simply no way the other Elementalists could do anything to it. Not when they were unprepared for such monstrosity.

  “Just back away!”


  The Elementalists and Summoners immediately retreated from the area as they heard Qin Ruo’s orders……

  “Sis Violet! Let’s go!”


  “Brother Da! Get Slayer’s Heart and Subjugator here! And the other warriors and Bowmasters as well! Tell the rest of them to take out the other Liches fast and quick!”


  Qin Ruo had no time to maintain his low profile in front of the three clans anymore—the situation was dire and the Mutated Lich could break free at any moment. And if it did break free, the tide of the battle would change. They still needed to gather as many people who could hurt the Mutated Lich as possible while he could still trap it in the ice.

  The “Mutated Lich” was, after all, a Mage type Boss. Even though it had a bout of overpowered Magic Resistance, its Physical Resistance should be much lower than that……

  As for Violet Orchid…… she still had a bottle of Divine Cleansing Potion with her. Her own Magic Attack was not strong but she was a Radiant Priest. Naturally, her Holy attacks were invaluable in this battle against the Mutated Lich. Besides, she was a tactician herself, so, having her around would definitely help a lot.

  After sending people to get reinforcements, Qin Ruo focused his efforts on keeping the Mutated Lich in a frozen state. He held nothing back.

  Movement Speed Potion.

  Darkfrost Potion.

  Giant Tree Sap.

  He basically just stuffed every potion that could grant him buffs into his stomach. As his body glowed with the various buffs, the Tier 5 players, who were retreating away from the scene, looked at him in awe. They were all experienced players, which was why they were handpicked in the first place to join the operation to take on the Liches. So, they knew how invaluable those potions were.

  When butting heads with Bosses, high-level players would usually try to preserve their potions. And yet, this new MVP “Netherspirit’s Menace” did not hold anything back—he had supposedly just gotten his Dark Gold equipment recently and yet he gulped down those potions as if it was ordinary drinking water. They could not help but let out a sigh. This guy was on a totally different level than them.

  And they were also hopeful. Netherspirit’s Menace was able to freeze the Mutated Lich for so long without the help of potions…… now that he had gulped those potions down, he should be able to do more.

  On the other hand, Qin Ruo felt tremendous pressure and anxiety. This thing’s Magic Resistance was too high! It was almost off the charts! Even the Purification Potion hardly helped at all in raising his damage to the Lich. The most he could do was to dish out 500 to 600 damage on the Boss, and that was if he was using magic attacks that were stronger than Tier 4.

  Besides, it also took him a lot of effort to keep that thing frozen. He had to keep on flinging his Magic Scrolls and Compressed Frost Bullets at the Mutated Lich to keep it in the ice. In just 30 seconds, he had already used eight Darkfrost Sting and Snow Eagle Dive scrolls.

  In the meantime, Slayer’s Heart, Subjugator, Judge, Little Apple, Little Arrow all dropped their tasks at hand in less than a minute and rushed to his aid. Now they had Tier 5 warriors and Bowmasters in the fight!

  “Fuck! Even my magic was ineffective……”


  Dinosarucerer finally got back on his feet with the help from Little Arrow and the others. He furiously backed out of the combat area and cheered on for the team. “Guys! Kick that thing’s ass for me!”


  “Slayer’s Heart, use the Giant Tree Sap and Purification Potion. Get near it and keep it busy.”


  Slayer’s Heart, without hesitation, took out the potions and gulped them down…… and then dragged his new legendary warhammer, one that was more powerful than his good old Pazuzu’s Warhammer, into the battle.

  Otherwise……

  Shadow Clone Strikes!

  Four golden rays flashed before the Lich’s eyes and stunned it for five more seconds.

  As Qin Ruo stepped away from his post, he ordered Poochie to help Slayer’s Heart in his effort to put the Mutated Lich in its place. Meanwhile, Slayer’s Heart, with the aid of Giant Tree Sap, was able to keep the Mutated Lich busy and off-balanced.

  “Judge, get in and provide him cover.”


  “Warriors and Bowmasters, wait for Slayer’s Heart’s signal before you attack!”


  “Devilite, slap the thing some negative status effects!”


  “Sis Violet…… if things go wrong…… you know what you have to do…… commence the battle!” As he looked at Violet Orchid, Qin Ruo knew she didn’t need any orders or guidance—she had already gotten herself ready for the fight and she knew what to do.

  After recovering from the initial shock, the other members of the three clans had now started to calm down and they were able to observe the battle from the outside.

  As more and more orders were given out by Netherspirit’s Menace, Violet Orchid, Dinosaurcerer, Judge and the other ones in higher commands started to execute the commands with perfect collaboration. Everything went on so naturally so much so that the observing players found this Netherspirit’s Menace overstepped his rank and rights commanding the high ranking members in the family, making it more and more mysterious.

  “Is this guy…… is he really a new recruit of the Fallen Angels?”


  “He sure doesn’t look like a new recruit.”


  “Yeah.”


  Then, a fierce discussion ensued outside the battle area. The discussion got merrier when they saw Slayer’s Heart successfully controlling the Mutated Lich’s movement as he helped provide openings for the others to launch AoE attacks on it. This “commander” sure knew what he was doing.

  Everyone was now curious of where “Netherspirit’s Menace” came from. His attitude, manner of speech, knowledge of every teammate and the Boss’ capabilities all pointed to the fact that he was no newbie. It seemed like he had worked together with these high ranking members several times before.

  Besides, the warriors and Bowmasters that Netherspirit’s Menace had summoned over were also working together in harmony, taking turns to dish out damage to the Mutated Lich. They depended on each other’s attacks every time Slayer’s Heart move away after stunning the Lich. This was indeed Netherspirit’s Menace’s tactical plan, one that he devised in such a short time.

  And then…… an Elementalist spoke, “Stop staring. Just look at his pet. You’ll then know what’s going on.”


  Everyone then looked at where the Elementalist’s finger was pointed at, seeing a mischievous looking golden little beast crouching behind the Mutated Lich……

  “.……”


  “Hey, that’s a Shadowfox!”


  They were experiencing tremendous shock as they faced off the Mutated Lich earlier and everything happened too fast for them to pay attention to their surroundings. They did not have time to look at that little golden beast.

  After seeing this Shadowfox, they then realized something was off……

  Yeah, something’s definitely off!

  That’s a Shadowfox. It’s Winter Demon’s pet!

  This new powerful Aquamancer Netherspirit’s Menace also owned a Shadowfox?!

  Is this just a coincidence?!

  “Just who is this Netherspirit’s Menace? What kind of relationship does he have with the Winter Demon?”


  Qin Ruo and Netherspirit’s Menace were of the same class—Aquamancers. Their skills and pets all seemed to be the same. Not only that, Netherspirit’s Menace seemed to have a good relationship with the high ranking members too.

  “Boss Dino, just what kind of relationship this guy has with Qin Ruo?”


  They eventually could not hold in their curiosity anymore and they all look at Dinosaurcerer inquisitively.

  Yet, the latter calmly replied, “Just shut up and watch. And remember what I told you guys earlier before we depart. Whatever you saw here today you must keep a secret. Don’t tell anyone else, not even to the other clan members.”


  This made everyone more curious about Netherspirit’s Menace.

  They still could not hide Shadowfox from everyone. Now he could only do his best to have them not relate Qin Ruo to Netherspirit’s Menace.

  As Violet Orchid and Poochie worked together to provide support in the fight, Slayer’s Heart worked together with the warriors and the Bowmasters to take on the Mutated Lich.

  Several minutes later…… The specters in the Death Valley were all eliminated! The last two Liches had all been defeated by Xiaoxiao, Black Rock and Homme Fatale.

  Everyone was now surrounding the area around the warp portal, watching the fight between the Mutated Lich and Qin Ruo’s team while at the same time keeping an eye on the warp portal. They made sure to respond immediately if there was something else that popped out from the portal. There should be no more surprises!

  However, an anxious report came from the valley’s entrance, “There are two teams of Netherspirit Claw’s men intruding the Death Valley. They’re heading your way! We couldn’t stop them!”


  “They must be attracted by the Mutated Lich.”


  “Those damn buggers! Do they have a death wish?”


  Dinosaurcerer, Black Rock, and the other mage-type players turned toward the entrance and got themselves ready for combat. They could not contribute at all in the fight against the Mutated Lich and so, it was up to them to fend off the Netherspirit’s Claw.
