Ye Sui was startled. She curved her lips and looked up at Chen Shu. “Me too.”
She looked straight into Chen Shu’s eyes, her gaze burning. “I heard everything you said by the bed.”
Chen Shu: “You were conscious, weren’t you? I knew you’d wake up……”
Chen Shu stopped in mid-sentence, suddenly remembering something. “I have something to show you.”
Ye Sui nodded. She sat quietly, waiting for Chen Shu. A small bulb was lit in front of the bed, and the light illuminated the side table.
Chen Shu bowed and bent over to open the drawer under the table. The light spilled on the dark drawer and illuminated it.
Ye Sui was stunned. Her eyes slowly moved down to see inside the drawer, where the folded roses were neatly arranged.
In the middle of the rose was a red velvet box that she had never seen before.
Ye Sui was shocked once again. She looked at the paper roses beside the box, and her expression became more tender.
The paper roses he folded with his hands had more sincerity than buying a lot of roses from everywhere.
“When you were asleep……” Chen Shu didn’t use the word coma. He just said that Ye Sui had been asleep for a few days and didn’t wake up.
“I folded these roses, hoping that you’d see them when you wake up.”
Ye Sui spread her hands and looked into Chen Shu’s eyes, indicating to him that she wanted to hold them.
He was a little embarrassed when he picked up a rose and placed it in Ye Sui’s palm.
Ye Sui sized up the roses Chen Shu folded, her eyebrows curled, and she giggled. “I didn’t expect that you would still do crafts now.”
She lifted her eyes to look straight at him and spoke seriously, “I like it. I really do.”
Darkness was reigning outside the window, and the moonlight fell quietly into the room.
The tender moonlight, red roses, and a red velvet ring box…… it seemed that the most appropriate moment had arrived.
Chen Shu took out the ring box surrounded by roses. He acted carefully and opened the box to reveal the diamond ring inside.
His clear voice made the air around him hot. “I imagined giving this box to you personally one day.”
The diamond ring was put on Ye Sui’s finger. It was neither big nor small, fitting just right.
Ye Sui’s tears slipped from her eyes. She was so touched that she couldn’t say anything.
A few days ago, he didn’t have time to confess his love, but now, he could finally do it. Unvoiced confessions were not unnatural but tactfully came to him.
Chen Shu spoke first, his tone carrying the joy of losing and regaining, “Ye Sui, I like you.”
Ye Sui opened her hazy, teary eyes and looked into Chen Shu’s eyes. Her voice was still a bit choked. “Chen Shu, I super like you.”
Two people, who had never been in love and were naive and young, repeated the word ‘like’ carefully. No matter how many times they said it, they didn’t seem to get bored.
Chen Shu emphasized, “I like you the most.”
Ye Sui laughed. “I like you more than you like me.”
Chen Shu’s voice became low, and he held Ye Sui’s hand, gradually moving closer to her. “Then we will be together from now on.”
Ye Sui had not yet spoken when Chen Shu bent down and kissed her. His hand caressed her back and embraced her, a numbing sensation spreading from his fingertips.
Her breath froze as her lips pressed against his, and their nose touched. His breath was so close, lingering gently in front of her.
The moonlight outside the window was cold. The clouds covered the moon, making the light disappear. In the gentle night, the atmosphere grew ambiguously.
Ye Sui closed her eyes, only to feel her heart beating faster. Chen Shu’s scent surrounded her.
Chen Shu was cautiously probing. He touched her lips lightly, not yet deep. His kisses were light and heavy, coming one after another.
When his lips came down again, he pried open her mouth and dove in, gently wrapping his tongue around the tip of hers. Like a soft breeze, he completed a clumsy and inexperienced kiss.
Ye Sui reached out and wrapped her arms around Chen Shu’s neck.
Her lips were soft and warm. The two embraced each other tightly, and their warmth melted the long, cold years before their encounter.
‘I like you so much.’
‘Then, let’s be a real couple, OK?’
