Chapter 308 - People Who Make Her Upset
Li Peng carefully supported Yang Xiaobing. Before they left, he looked back reluctantly once again at the person at the window he yearned for day and night.
Since Fei’er was back, he would have a chance to look for her in the future.
Li Peng had pursued Lin Fei’er for so long and knew that Lin Fei’er was a person with firm speech and a soft heart.
He had indeed made a huge mistake. If he were to continue pestering her, he would be able to soften her heart over time, wouldn’t he?
He really missed her. Even when he woke up every morning and looked at the woman sleeping beside him, he would call Lin Fei’er’s name.
This was not what Li Peng wanted.

Su Wan sat opposite Lin Fei’er. Her seat was facing the entrance.
When she looked up, she saw Li Peng and Yang Xiaobing walking into the elevator hastily.
Su Wan looked steadily at Lin Fei’er and reminded her softly, “They’ve left. Let’s eat in peace.”
Although Su Wan did not mention who ‘they’ were, Lin Fei’er understood Su Wan’s meaning immediately.
Lin Fei’er lowered her head and looked at the menu. When she heard Su Wan, she took in a breath of air.
Lin Fei’er was silent for a moment and finally pushed the menu in her hand to Su Wan. “Here, Wan, you order.”
This menu was clearly exquisitely made with pictures and texts but when Lin Fei’er looked at it, it was like a vast expanse of white and she could see nothing.
When Su Wan was about to accept the menu from Lin Fei’er, she was scared by her hoarse voice.
She looked up at Lin Fei’er and saw that her face was much paler than it had been a while ago. She seemed to be forbearing something.
Ladened with remorse, she stared at Lin Fei’er as she frowned. Her clear eyes showed how much her heart ached.
“Didn’t we say to eat in peace? Stop thinking about that couple.”
Lin Fei’er sniffed and smiled in self-mockery. That faint smile was bitter and astringent.
“Wan, do you think I’m useless? It has been so long and I still can’t let go.”
While Lin Fei’er spoke, her eyes turned red and she choked with emotions.
Su Wan quickly shook her head and walked over quickly to Lin Fei’er. She wiped off Lin Fei’er’s tears.
“Silly girl, how could I possibly think that you’re useless? What happened isn’t your fault at all.”
If Su Wan were to put herself in Lin Fei’er’s shoes and if this incident were to happen to her, she felt she wouldn’t be any better than Lin Fei’er.
Li Peng had stabbed Lin Fei’er’s heart and the scab of the deep scar could not be restored to its original appearance.
Su Wan had experienced such pain when she was betrayed by Gu Zihang but she knew the harm that Lin Fei’er experienced was far more serious than hers.
Seeing Lin Fei’er’s eyes still red, Su Wan quickly changed a conversation topic.
“Besides, isn’t the theme of today to live up to good food? Don’t tell me you have no appetite. I’ve given you a chance to eat all you want. I’ll be embarrassed if you don’t give me face.”
Lin Fei’er was amused by what Su Wan said. She turned cries into laughter and glared at Su Wan.
“Okay, I’ll eat as much as I can and make you run out of money.”
Lin Fei’er took back the menu and browsed through it for a while. Then, she waved the waitress over. When the waitress saw her waving, she came over immediately.
“May I have the steamed lobster, deep fried oysters, sautéed mussel with black bean sauce, spicy crab, steamed razor clam with minced garlic, and cumin saury, please? Oh, and please add on radish and white clam soup as well as a bottle of red wine and a glass of corn juice.”
“Alright, please wait for a while.”
Su Wan was shocked when she heard Lin Fei’er’s long list of order and then exclaimed, “Fei’er, I don’t care that you’ve ordered all these. If you can’t finish them though, I’ll blame you.”
A smile appeared on Lin Fei’er’s exquisite face. She looked at Su Wan teasingly and she looked more cheerful now.
“I can take away what we can’t finish, silly.”
Su Wan nodded. Then, they chatted about local customs of Dong Chen country.
The food was served fast in Yun Shuixuan. Lin Fei’er took the bottle of red wine and poured herself a glass.
When Su Wan saw how she drank, she couldn’t help but to remind her, “Don’t drink too much. If you’re drunk, I can’t carry you.”
Lin Fei’er rolled her eyes. “I can forgive you for not accompanying me to drink on my day of return but how could you still want to control me?”
As Lin Fei’er spoke, she pushed the corn juice which she had ordered for Su Wan towards her.
Su Wan took the glass of corn juice and took a sip before putting the glass down.
“Don’t you know that I can’t drink? Fei’er, it’s harmful for your body if you drink too much wine. You don’t have a good gut, why don’t I order corn juice for you?”
As Su Wan spoke, she snatched the red wine bottle beside Lin Fei’er. Lin Fei’er drank the last bit of wine in her glass and shot a look of dissatisfaction at Su Wan.
“Wan, I’m a good drinker. Give me back the wine.”
Su Wan smiled but shook her head. “I said no. Okay, the dishes are all served. Let’s eat?”
Lin Fei’er pouted helplessly but she felt touched in her heart.
Lin Fei’er wasn’t a sociable person but she felt it was worth having such a good friend like Su Wan.
One was lucky to have a good friend in life.
Su Wan wore a pair of disposable gloves and started peeling the crabs before placing them into Lin Fei’er’s bowl.
“I feel heaty lately and can’t eat this. Can you eat all of this spicy food?”
Lin Fei’er nodded softly and her smile deepened.

Both of them ate for about twenty minutes and finished half of what were on the table. Suddenly, Su Wan felt uncomfortable.
She stood up and told Lin Fei’er, “Fei’er, I need to go to the washroom!”
Seeing Lin Fei’er’s nod, Su Wan stood up hastily. There were no washrooms on this floor. So, she walked quickly toward the elevator.
After coming out of the toilet, she walked to the wash basin slowly. She looked at her red face and red lips in the mirror and she couldn’t help laughing at herself.
She had said she could not eat spicy food but under the encouragement of Lin Fei’er, she couldn’t control herself and so, she ate a few mouthfuls of spicy crabs.
She hoped she wouldn’t have pimples when she went back.
Su Wan turned on the water tap and splashed her face with some water, trying to feel some coolness.
Suddenly, Su Wan heard sounds of footsteps. They obviously belonged to a woman in high heels.
Su Wan did not notice the person but a delicate voice came from behind.
“Sis-in-Law, I didn’t expect you to have lunch here.”
Su Wan’s body froze. She blinked her eyes and turned around.
