Norman walked out and was about to follow Ai Xi when his phone rang. He frowned when he saw the familiar number.

  “Your mission has been completed. If you still want to help me, we can continue working together!” Jian Qi smiled wickedly.

  However, Norman’s eyes darkened. “Where did you bring Ai Xi? If anything happens to her, it has to do with me!”


  “Don’t worry. Even if she were to die, no one would blame you for it!” After Jian Qi said so, she stopped talking to him. “It’s all thanks to you!”


  Then, Jian Qi hung up the phone.

  “Hello?” Norman asked.

  He was furious when the other party hung up the phone again. However, he realized that there was nothing he could do.

  He wanted to see who this person was.

  But he didn’t expect her to be so cunning!

  Meanwhile, Ai Xi came out of the cafe and walked toward Jian Qi carefully.

  Along the way, she acted very carefully as if she was afraid that others would find out.

  After coming out of the elevator, Ai Xi observed her surroundings, afraid that she would be followed.

  When she arrived at the restaurant and saw that there were no other customers, Ai Xi breathed a sigh of relief. Then, she took out a mirror and touched up her makeup before walking in.

  The waiter brought her to a seat. Ai Xi smiled elegantly.

  After a few seconds, she heard footsteps. She turned around and saw a red-haired girl wearing a devil mask. She frowned.

  “Who are you?”


  Jian Qi smiled and sat down calmly.

  “Miss Ai Xi, who do you think I am?” Jian Qi smiled. “Is it your superior, Steve, or your lover?”


  At that moment, Ai Xi knew that she had been tricked.

  The handwriting on the note was probably copied by the girl in front of her. It was not from Steve.

  Ai Xi got up and was about to leave when Jian Qi leaned against the back of the chair. She seemed relaxed, but there was a dangerous aura about her.

  “Since you’re here, why don’t we have a chat?”


  Ai Xi looked at him mockingly. Then, she pulled out her gun and aimed it at Jian Qi. “Who are you? You’re just fooling around!

  “Do you believe that I’ll shoot you?”


  Jian Qi didn’t seem to sense any danger from what Ai Xi said. She looked at her calmly and said, “That’s true. You can get rid of me easily. After all, you have Steve supporting you. Just like how you got rid of your colleague—Number Seven!”


  Ai Xi’s face darkened when she heard the last two words.

  “Who are you?”


  Ai Xi looked at her angrily and tightened her grip on the gun.

  Jian Qi did not let go of any emotions on her face. She could clearly feel Ai Xi’s reaction.

  “It seems like you still remember her!” Jian Qi smiled wickedly.

  “Who are you?” Ai Xi was furious.

  “Why does everyone like to ask that?” Jian Qi smiled. “It doesn’t matter who I am. The important thing is, do you want to sit down and chat with me? Or do you want to leave immediately?

  “Of course, I’ll tell you that you won’t be able to leave this place. Once you step out of here, you might die immediately!”


  The woman chuckled. She seemed to be joking, but her tone was laced with murderous intent.

  This wasn’t a joke. It was a warning!
