Jian Qi cooperated and left with Ah Feng without asking any questions.

  Other than the fact that Ah Feng was not satisfied with Jian Qi’s performance, he was satisfied with everything else.

  “Later, I’ll bring you to meet someone. What you need to do is to interrogate him and ask him everything he knows!” Ah Feng said coldly. “Do you understand?”


  Jian Qi was confused. “What confession?”


  “There are some dirty people on the island trying to do something to this place. However, we haven’t found any evidence against him. What you need to do is to make him tell us his motive for coming here and also what he did.”


  Ah Feng’s tone became colder.

  Jian Qi listened to him, nodded seriously, and smiled like a lackey. “Don’t worry, Master. I won’t kill anyone, but I know how to make people tell the truth.”


  “I hope you can find something. If you do, not only will you be able to eat your fill, you’ll also be able to gain a foothold here!” Ah Feng said.

  Jian Qi’s eyes brightened. “Really?”


  “Of course.”


  Jian Qi chuckled. “Then, I must make him speak!”


  Seeing how excited Jian Qi was, Ah Feng smiled coldly.

  Jian Qi followed him obediently.

  Confused, Jian Qi followed Ah Feng to the building. They entered the lobby which was filled with mercenaries with heavy firearms.

  In other words, if any suspicious target wanted to enter, they would be shot as soon as they reached the door.

  There were no obstructions along the way. Ah Feng used his fingerprint to open the elevator door. The two of them entered the elevator and reached the second floor of the basement.

  The entire basement was brightly lit. There were many rooms, and the corridors were rather quiet. They could even hear the echo of footsteps. It sounded rather strange.

  The two of them walked toward the innermost room.

  When she pushed open the door, she realized that it was dark inside. Jian Qi took a while to get used to it before she could see clearly.

  After the door was closed, Jian Qi slowly noticed a man tied to a corner opposite her.

  The room was dark and reeked of blood. It made the room even more creepy and gloomy.

  Jian Qi looked at the man. She couldn’t see his face clearly. She felt that his head was lowered, but she didn’t know if he was dead or alive.

  “Qi, I’ll leave the rest to you. Don’t disappoint me!” Ah Feng said.

  Jian Qi looked at Ah Feng and chuckled. “Don’t worry, Master. I’ll make sure he says what he needs to say. I won’t disappoint you!”


  Ah Feng smirked. “Yes, I believe you. So, you better stay here until he tells the truth!”


  Jian Qi’s smile froze when she heard what he said.

  Did he mean that she shouldn’t leave even if she asked?

  There was indeed no free lunch in the world!

  Right and wrong were always relative!

  After Ah Feng said so, he turned around and left without giving Jian Qi a chance to speak. Then, he closed the door.

  Jian Qi did not need to look to know that the door was locked. She wouldn’t be able to leave if no one came to open the door.

  The room was too dark for Jian Qi to see clearly. She could only turn on the light beside her.
