Chapter 170: Is It Possible That Qingqing Is Feng Ci
“What a guy! He leaped over 3,000 people and ended up placing sixth! Could it be that he too, is a genius in disguise?”
Yang Lianfeng shook his head, “It’s true that he is naturally intelligent. But that alone wouldn’t allow him to improve so much so fast. I did hear that Qingqing helped with his studies over the last while.”
That guy is so lucky! The UCC Dean first admitted him and then he got help from a god-level student! Nobody can say anything now once he’s in the UCC. After all, his grades proved his ability!”
“Plus, he has a great background and has really good looks! Doesn’t that just infuriate you?”
Some teacher joked and everyone else laughed.
Just then, Yang Lianfeng remembered something, “Did you read Qingqing’s paper? Did you notice that her writing style is really similar to this one author?”
Another literature teacher slapped her hands, “I was about to say! It read like Feng Ci! I’m Feng Ci’s die-hard fan and I noticed right away!”
“Me too! When I read it, I felt like it was familiar. I’ve read every one of Feng Ci’s novels. The narrative she wrote was of course different than the stories in those novels. But her writing style is basically the same!”
“Could it be that Qiao Qing is Feng Ci’s fan as well?” Someone asked.
Yang Lianfeng rubbed his chin, “Do you think it’s possible that Qingqing is Feng Ci?”
“Impossible? A legendary writer like Feng Ci is an underaged high schooler?” Someone expressed his doubt.
Yang Lianfeng continued, “For someone to get full marks is a miracle in itself. Plus, have you not heard about the rumors? There is already a rumor that says Feng Ci is a young girl.”
All the teachers were a little stunned.
Silently, Yang Lianfeng wondered, could it be that that was the reason she refused to write the essay last time? She didn’t want to expose herself?
After the grades came out, some were joyous, some were depressed.
Before long, the news spread from the Qiao family that Qiao Nian scored 684. For sure, she would get into UCC with that score.
When that news came out, everyone who received the invitation from Qiao Qing and Qiao Nian’s joint celebration began to scheme.
The two girls were about to have a celebration together for coming of age. Everyone knew that at events like this, the girls cannot avoid being compared.
If the other families want to form some connections, they need to choose the right side at the ceremony.
When everyone heard Qiao Nian’s score, they all decided whose side they would take.
If Qiao Qing scored well, why was there no news splash?
In the blink of an eye, the day had come for Qiao Qing and Qiao Nian’s coming of age party.
In the morning, Qin Yongmei paid a visit to He Wanqing with a bright face.
“Wanqing, have you prepared everything?”
He Wanqing looked at her with an ugly expression, “Why are you here again?”
“Look at you, can’t you treat me nicely? I’m here to give Qingqing her gown.”
He Wanqing’s eyelids hopped, “What gown?”
Qin Yongmei lifted her arm and gestured, “Here, look here! Isn’t it pretty? Last time at dad’s birthday party, Qingqing didn’t even wear a gown. I thought you must’ve overlooked it.”
“This time, the two girls are the main characters. It’s also a big deal – the coming of age ceremony. We can’t have what happened last time happen again.”
“When I was buying a dress for Niannian, I thought of Qingqing. Sis-in-law, don’t’ say I don’t treat Qingqing well. I bought something for Qingqing that cost me the same as Niannian’s dress.”
He Wanqing looked up and saw Qin Yongmei holding a dress that was a dull yellow. The style was out of date and very tacky.
If it weren’t for the price tag attached, she would’ve thought it was taken from someone’s donation bin.
