When the chicken saw a stranger wearing clothes darker than itself, it freaked out and flapped its wings to get away.
Jun Yexuan chased after it right away. At once, the garden became a chaotic place where feathers and dust fluttered around.
Mu Jinghang was laughing hard at the sight of Jun Yexuan trying to catch a chicken.
He didn’t get to enjoy himself for much longer however, as a cane hit his head, “I asked you to chop the wood and start a fire! Why are you standing here and laughing?!”
Mu Jinghang, “…”
The chicken vs. human battle was still ongoing in the garden. While Jun Yexuan chased with sweat all over his forehead, he realized that other than Qiao Qing, a chicken was the most difficult thing to pursue.
Qiao Qing was oblivious to the ridiculous thoughts Jun Yexuan was having. She looked at the man drowning in feathers and laughed out loud.
After many minutes of failed attempts, Jun Yexuan lost his patience and took out the gun he had tucked in his belt.
With a loud “BANG”, the area quieted down.
Mu Jinghang stared at the trembling chicken that now collapsed onto the ground and shook his head, “Insane… I bet this chicken never would’ve guessed that it would die by a gunshot wound.”
Jun Yexuan, “…”
Others, “…”
Jun Yexuan turned to look at him, “Stop making sarcastic comments. Where’s the fire and the boiling water?”
Mu Jinghang quickly picked up the hatchet on the ground. He mimicked what he’d seen in movies and placed up the pieces of wood to be chopped in front of him.
Though he lived like he was Jun Yexuan’s assistant, he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth. Chopping wood was unfamiliar territory for him.
When his hatchet hit the wood and splintered it, he thought it looked right. However, he used too much strength pulling the hatchet back up. With a “BANG”, the hatchet swung back against his forehead. With a speed visible to the eye, his forehead swelled up.
Mu Jinghang dropped the hatchet and screamed in pain.
Jun Yexuan started to laugh so hard tears came out of his eyes.
The firefox made a face. An idiot will always be an idiot. This was expected.
Just then, a helicopter landed near the hut.
No longer caring about Mu Jinghang, Jun Yexuan dashed out of the garden.
His subordinates were getting out of the helicopters with bags of the requested products. The sight of Jun Yexuan covered in chicken feathers made them stutter, “Third… third young master?”
Only then did Jun Yexuan remember how pitiful he looked. He retreated his extended arms.
Qi Yusen walked over then, and Jun Yexuan asked him, “Brother, go take those to Qingqing. I’m going to get onto the helicopter and clean myself up.”
Qi Yusen took over the bag and glanced at him, “You’re not going to pluck the chicken?”
Jun Yexuan smiled, “My people are here. Why would I still do the work?”
He then pointed at the chicken on the ground, “You guys work together and turn that into soup.”
His subordinates, “…”
They were trained to be guards. Before, they followed their young master all over the world and licked bloody swords for a living.
When did all that change? Now, their work consists of delivering feminine hygiene products and making chicken soup.
Their young master was their boss after all and they didn’t dare to object.
The granny also didn’t seem to mind what Jun Yexuan suggested.
Perhaps it was because she was afraid that these three men would burn down her house while making soup.
Qi Yusen narrowly escaped his fate and he was more than relieved.
The subordinates worked fast, and it didn’t take them long to finish making chicken soup.
Starved for an entire day, Mu Jinghang drooled when the soup started to smell good. He was too embarrassed to eat, however, and asked the granny, “You and your grandson cannot finish this entire chicken, right? Qingqing is weak right now. How about I portion out some for her?”
The grandma rolled her eyes at him, “You sure are stupid. You think a woman can eat something like this during her menstrual cycle?”
She scooped out some soup and chicken into a bowl and handed it to Jun Yexuan, “This is for you.”
