  Shen Manting came into the office carrying a beautiful bag and turning a fluffy ball in her hand. It was a beautiful, fluffy red ball.

  Yu Lili recognized it at a glance.

  This fluffy red ball seems to be the latest fad in luxury items. The ball’s material was brilliantly beautiful, made to look like a Firefox tail. It was expensive to make because it was considered to be very precious.

  Yu Lili had seen one of these fluffy red balls in a magazine and loved it very much.

  I would like to have one, but, unfortunately, I can’t afford it.

  Ye Qianqian saw Shen Manting coming and recognized her at once. She smiled and nodded to her in greeting.

  However, Shen Manting did not look directly at Ye Qianqian. Instead, she looked directly at Yu Lili and asked, “Is Editor-in-chief Zhou here?”


  “Yes, she is in the inner office. Shall I call her for you?” Before Shen Manting could answer, Yu Lili picked up the phone and made an inside call to Editor-in-chief Zhou.

  Shen Manting looked at her with a bright smile and said, “Thank you. Here, this is for you.” She casually tossed the fluffy red ball in Yu Lili’s direction. Surprised at the sudden action, Yu Lili couldn’t catch the ball, and it hit her in the chest.

  Yu Lili looked at Shen Manting dully, but she didn’t notice. Instead, Shen Manting winked at her and said, “I bought it on a whim, but I don’t like the way it looks with my bag. It just doesn’t work for me. I bet you would look beautiful in red. It suits you very well, so consider it a gift.”


  Yu Lili was in shock. She was about to say she couldn’t accept it when Shen Manting turned around, ready to go in.

  “Wait a minute!” Yu Lili called her and said, “This is very expensive you……”


  “Oh, I don’t like it. If you don’t like it, give it to someone else. However, I really think it suits you. You can hang it on your bag, and it will make you look beautiful.” As she said this, Shen Manting waved to Yu Lili and walked away.

  Yu Lili was confused.

  Seriously? How could this executive editor-in-chief give away such a valuable thing to a stranger? It is too generous.

  Shen Manting turned her back on Yu Lili. With a triumphant smile her face, she waved her hand and then walked into the inner office.

  Ye Qianqian looked at the fluffy red ball in Yu Lili’s hand. She felt envious and said, “Oh my god, those are extremely expensive.”


  Yu Lili really liked the fluffy red ball. She proudly hung it on her bag, which was also a beautiful red. She thought the fluffy ball would complement it very well.

  “How beautiful!” Ye Qianqian exclaimed, she liked it too. She sighed and said, “It’s beautiful on your bag. I’m afraid I have to get back to work now. You can continue reviewing the contract.”


  Yu Lili nodded. She smiled at her new friend and raised her hand to wave goodbye. “Thank you for the coffee.”


  “You’re welcome.”


  After watching Ye Qianqian leave, Yu Lili felt that she might be narrow-minded.

  This fluffy red ball cost more than my salary, and the executive editor-in-chief gave it to me at will. She couldn’t be responsible for Editor-in-chief Zhou’s behavior or for deliberately harassing me.
