  Honestly speaking, she had never had a chance to dump anybody in her life.

  Her first love gave her such a huge scar that all here subsequent blind dates turned into fiasco.

  And just when she decided to move on and settle for an ordinary man, she met all sorts of enigma and unreliable people.

  First was a doctor called Chen Zhengchu; he proposed to her before, yet he merely did so to spite his ex-girlfriend. The result of that was their split-up.

  She did not get to finish the rest of her words, though, as the lady interrupted her.

  “You still dared to give me excuses! Hur hur!” Ji Lelin was furious when she tried to utter an excuse.

  Snorting, she spat, “I have eyes and ears! Ah Mo has become a lot more haggard because of you! Every time he is free, he will stare in a daze at your photo! Also, he admitted to me that he…… he……”


  She could not continue speaking as her eyes brimmed with tears.

  “He, what?” Qin Qitong asked, clearly curious about this issue.

  Noticing someone asking, Ji Lelin decided to say it all and shouted, “He said that he only likes you and will wait for you! He doesn’t want to give you up at all, you terrible woman!”


  This beautiful yet quarrelsome lady instantly broke down, her face quickly becoming wet with tears that looked like pearls from a broken string. Anyone looking would feel pity for her.

  Pei Ge, for her part, was struck dumb by her words and action.

  She was tugging her lips while looking blankly at the lady before her when sounds of murmuring among the crowd pulled her back to reality.

  “Are you serious? That woman looks so average. Other than having fair skin and bigger breasts, she doesn’t seem to have anything special about her. Why does she have quite a few topnotch suitors?”


  “That’s right. Putting aside Miss Ji’s looks and figure, she is also rich. Meanwhile, that woman seems to have nothing. Is there something wrong with this world?!”


  “Do rich men all prefer plain porridge?”


  Pei Ge really felt like crying but had no tears to cry when she heard their comments!

  At the girl’s boisterous laughter, which sounded as if she had heard an extremely funny joke, the rage in Ji Lelin’s heart boiled further.

  She took out some tissue and wiped off her tears to remove all evidence of fragility on her face.

  “Auntie Ji, this terrible woman can’t match up to Brother Ziming. Don’t be fooled by her!” She glared hatefully at Pei Ge as she gave this sincere advice.

  “What nonsense are you spouting?! How is my Sister Pei Ge terrible? She’s many times better than you! No wonder your Ah Mo doesn’t like you but likes our Sister Pei Ge, instead!” Qin Qitong nudged her lips mockingly.

  The lady was so angered by her words that she almost puked out blood.

  “Tongtong, how can you say that……” Mother Ji softly reprimanded.

  Before the lady could rejoice and say, ‘Auntie Ji is still better and more reliable!’ she heard the older woman’s follow-up remark.

  “Although it’s the truth, you still can’t say it out so straightforwardly.” The older woman pouted at her niece.

  A bout of silence ensued first before Pei Ge coughed lightly and addressed the pitiful-looking lady.

  “Cough! This Miss Ji, I think that…… you have gotten something wrong.” She smiled at the lady as she sighed inside.

  “Love can’t be forced. Although I am not that close to Qimo, I still think that you’re better off with some other guy,” she carefully suggested, “so…… you should give up on him.”
