Chapter 332 D-livery
As Ben walked in the Manhattan streets outside alongside the tall beauty, Olivia, people stared at the mismatch between the two of them as usual. Ben didn't mind though. He understood; that was until a random pretzel vendor they passed made a comment.
"Looks like a beautiful Harley Davidson motorcycle with a broke-down sidecar."
…
Ben's eye twitched at that, but he kept walking. Instead of worrying about the opinion of himself amongst pretzel people…he was more curious about Olivia. "So what did you want to talk about?"
She'd asked him to follow her out of class and they'd been walking in silence since. The studious beauty walked with her upright posture and unchanging expression, leading the way. "Just follow after me."
From time to time, Ben stole glances at her firm butt poking out of her skirt. "Where are we going?" He didn't mind being led somewhere by a beauty, whether by the nose or by the hose…
However, he couldn't help being curious.
"You'll discover the answer shortly."
Since she wasn't being forthright, Ben could only shrug and follow along. He didn't mind anyway, it was a good bright day for a walk, as the two passed pedestrians on the busy city sidewalk. A short while later though, they arrive.
*Ooof*
While talking another much-needed stare at Olivia's backside, she'd stopped and Ben's head hit her arm, leading her to glance at him questioningly. Swallowing, Ben pretended nothing happened and started to look around. "So uh, this is…" He gazed up at a large skyscraper condominium. Ben could see the lobby with marble floors through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows at the entryway. It was fancy, much fancier than most places he went to.
Olivia's face remained stoic. "This is where I reside. Follow me upstairs." Then, she faced forward, pressed a buzzer on the large glass door, and opened it as the suited doorman behind a desk in the lobby buzzed her in.
Ben blinked. 'She's taking me home?' He hadn't expected this. He wasn't sure what Olivia wanted, but he had certain hopes. 'Be the D. Be the D. Be the D.'
…
In any case, as she quickly entered, he hopped forward to catch the door before it closed so he could follow her inside. Ben didn't know what was up but he was very much looking forward to what mysteries "lied within."
As the two walked by the doorman and the door shut behind them, the sounds of the busy street behind faded into silence, muffled by the glass. The two didn't notice as they walked away a pair of hot eyes staring at them.
Across the street, behind a tall steel lightpole, a girl was staring at Ben's back as it became smaller and smaller, entering into the building she'd watched him walk into, with a girl…
Stepping out from the lightpole she'd been hiding behind, her hands in her jacket pockets were shaky as her eyes teared up, picturing and imagining various things, all involving Ben, and that tall gorgeous girl, the same one on that NYU University ID she was holding in one hand, which had written the address of this building. In her other hand, she held something she squeezed even tighter, a piece of wood, a broken piece of furniture; the edge of a desk corner.
The wind blew her long pink hair up, making it dance in the air, exposing the star-shaped birthmark under her left eye. Yet her eyes continued to look down, imagining various things. It would be a long time until Katie regained her composure and was able to talk away. She wanted to stay and see more, but at the same time, her heart couldn't take it, feeling like it was being roasted on a grill…
Only after an hour of waiting, each second hoping that Ben would come out of that building, did she finally realize—he wasn't coming out.
So she had to be the one to do something. It was time to go…
Meanwhile, upstairs, a much different scene was unfolding. After entering the building, Olivia had remained silent as she led Ben toward the elevators, pressing a floor so high that it made Ben gulp. 'I can barely count that high…'
…
He couldn't help but compare this residence to his own, a relatively shabby dormitory shared with one roommate. Then, when they reached Olivia's floor and she walked him to her apartment, opening the door and beckoning him to follow, his sense of contrast grew even further. "You live HERE alone?"
It was an expansive one-bedroom apartment, with luxurious furniture and many devices Ben couldn't even afford for himself, and he wasn't talking about any kind of high scale massage chair; Ben didn't even have a toaster…
The apartment was pristine except for the bedroom. As Ben walked around, exploring the place, he could see inside there since the door was open. One word came to mind as he gawked at the inside: volleyball.
Volleyball magazines piled onto the bedside stand, posters of female volleyball players draping the walls and several balls on the floor with scruff marks that made it obvious they'd gotten their fair share of use. Ben knew Olivia liked volleyball, but this…
When compared to the rest of her, it seemed a little…over the top?
*Slam*
With her hand stuck on the doorknob after shutting the door to her room, Olivia narrowed her eyes as she stared at Ben. "What did you see?"
Seeing her slightly murderous expression, Ben hurried to shake his head. "Nuffin. Dindu nuffin…"
Exhaling, she released the doorknob as she grabbed Ben's arm and dragged him across the apartment and sat him down on the couch, as she sat down next to him. "Come, let's begin."
Ben's heartbeat sped up as he gulped. He was pretty sure his guess on Olivia's motives to bring him here were about to be proved correct. 'Is it…the famous reverse booty call?' He squeezed his fists. 'She's ordered some d*ck delivery!'
He was expecting to soon see a tip…
