Almost as if they were connected by telepathy, Fu Huai’an and Tuan Tuan looked towards the door at the same time.

The big one and the little one both had their vision directed towards Lin Nuan. The big one’s brows unfurrowed a little, whereas the little one started crying as he ran towards Lin Nuan to hug her legs…

The little one secretly wiped his tears and snot on Lin Nuan’s pants, then looked up at Lin Nuan. His reddened eyes and the tiny tear droplets on his eyelashes caused one’s heart to ache just by looking at him.

Fu Huai’an also walked towards Lin Nuan under the scrutinizing gaze of the kindergarten teacher. He hung up his call, then walked to Lin Nuan and held Tuan Tuan’s head with his large hand. He said to Lin Nuan, “Something happened at the hospital…”

Old Madam Fu and Old Master Fu wouldn’t let them live a day in peace!

On his side, Fu Huai’an had just received a call from the kindergarten teacher informing him that Tuan Tuan had gotten into a fight. Just as he arrived at the kindergarten, before he could find out what had happened to Tuan Tuan, the call from the hospital came…

Old Madam Fu and Old Master Fu had been at loggerheads these few years; the saying “there can’t be two kings in the same kingdom” was an appropriate one to describe their relationship. Unexpectedly, they were hospitalized one after the other, and coincidentally, they wound up at the same hospital!

Furthermore, they were both in VIP wards on the same level.

Things were fine originally, but in the end, for some reason, they had bumped into each other in the corridors. Both Old Master Fu and Old Madam Fu had stubborn tempers; one was mocking the other for hogging the position of Mrs. Fu, whereas one was slamming the other for being a shameless old man. For some reason, those two, who were usually cool-headed, lost their cool and began to get physical in the hospital corridor.

Fu Huai’an didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when he heard this.

Fu Huai’an knew Old Madam Fu’s temper very well; if she weren’t agitated to the max, she wouldn’t have disregarded her status and prestige and hit Old Master Fu just like that.

Fu Huai’an also knew Fu Qingquan’s temper; he cared about his prestige more than anything. Especially at an age like that, for him to disregard his face and get into a brawl with his aged wife was unexpected of him.

Before he could find out the reason behind Tuan Tuan getting into a fight, Secretary Song was pleading on the phone for help, nearly in tears, begging for Fu Huai’an to get to the hospital asap.

Old Madam Fu and Fu Qingquan had never stopped going against each other all these years, be it in the open or in the dark; neither was willing to admit defeat.

Although Fu Huai’an was in an awkward position in the Fus’ house, when a clash occurred between Old Madam Fu and Fu Qingquan, the only one who could step in… was Fu Huai’an, whose position was the most awkward.

In the past, Tang Zheng liked to joke that Fu Huai’an was a brick in the Fus; he would be shifted to wherever he was needed…

In the past, it was merely a joke, but to apply it to Secretary Song, it was highly apt!

Secretary Song was ruthless and capable in other matters, but when it came to Fu Qingquan’s family matters, he was powerless, and it gave him a headache. Emotions-wise, he regarded Fu Qingquan as his own father, but he was, after all, not a member of the family, so he didn’t feel as confident handling such matters.

When Fu Tianci was thrashed, he asked Fu Huai’an.

When Old Madam Fu got into a brawl with Fu Qingquan, he asked Fu Huai’an.

Lin Nuan understood what Fu Huai’an meant. She bent over to carry Tuan Tuan, then nodded. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of things here!”

The children who were made to stand there as a penalty panicked when they saw that Tuan Tuan’s parents had arrived. Their eyes were reddened, hoping their own parents would arrive soon too.

It was a minor issue of kids fighting amongst each other, and thankfully, Tuan Tuan was only a little bruised on the elbow and wasn’t hurt anywhere else. Fu Huai’an nodded, then he bent over to stroke Tuan Tuan on the head. “Papa has got to make a trip to the hospital. Mama is here, so don’t be afraid!”

Fu Huai’an and Lin Nuan knew Tuan Tuan’s character more than anyone else; he absolutely wouldn’t have picked a fight with others for no reason.

Although Tuan Tuan wasn’t good at talking, he was familiar with his father, and he knew this was his father backing him up, so he nodded his head vigorously.

By the side, the kindergarten teacher wasn’t surprised to hear this; who didn’t regard their own kid as their precious darling? Regardless of what had happened, regardless of who was in the wrong, they had to defend their child first. Having worked in preschool education until now, she was used to seeing this common failing amongst parents.

But Fu Tuan Tuan’s father’s eyes were too striking; ever since Tuan Tuan’s father appeared in the kindergarten, the young and pretty kindergarten teacher couldn’t take her eyes away from the man.

Lin Nuan got a rough understanding of the situation from the kindergarten teacher; she said those few kids were playing on the slide, then later, Little Candy fell from it. And so Tuan Tuan and several other kids got into a fight with the two kids who had pushed Little Candy.

Lin Nuan didn’t merely listen to the teacher’s explanation. She squatted on her heels and looked into Tuan Tuan’s eyes, asking Tuan Tuan as she stroked his little head, “Tuan Tuan, can you tell Mama why you got into a fight with these kids?”

Before Tuan Tuan could open his mouth, the little fatty who beat up other kids with Tuan Tuan bounced towards Lin Nuan. He knew Tuan Tuan wasn’t great at talking and was afraid he might not be able to explain things clearly, so he took the initiative to lodge a complaint with Lin Nuan. “Tuan Tuan’s Mama! It’s the two of them, they mocked Tuan Tuan for being a little stutterer and laughed at Little Candy for being fatherless, and also at me for being motherless! Little Candy and I then got into a fight with them. They pushed Little Candy down the slide, causing Little Candy’s head to bleed. There was a lot of blood on her head! After that, Tuan Tuan and I started fighting with the two of them!”

The little one then twisted his body and pointed at the two little kids behind him.

Those two little kids were a little taller, and they appeared to be a little bigger than the little fatty here, and also a little stronger than Tuan Tuan.

Lin Nuan raised a hand and stroked the little fatty on his head before asking Tuan Tuan, “Is what your friend said true?”

Tuan Tuan nodded, then he clumsily tried to add a few more details…

Lin Nuan understood it now. The little one who fought alongside Tuan Tuan was called Happy. Those two bigger kids couldn’t win against Little Candy in a fight and were claiming they were going to kill Little Candy. They then directly pushed Little Candy down from the stairs on top of the slide. Seeing that Little Candy’s head was bleeding, Tuan Tuan, who had his butt sticking up in the air as he dug a hole in the sand, ran helplessly to Little Candy’s side. Hearing Little Candy shouting for Tuan Tuan to fight for her, he charged up righteously and got entangled into the fight of four, and he was then mocked for being a little stutterer.

Strictly speaking, this had nothing to do with Tuan Tuan from the start. It was the two little kids who refused to concede to Little Candy’s status as the Kindergarten Gang Leader who intentionally provoked them with their words.

Little Candy had been sent to the hospital by the kindergarten teacher. Her mother had also been informed, and she would be meeting them directly at the hospital.

Lin Nuan looked up at those two little kids. Although her gaze under the tweed cap wasn’t considered cold, at most strict, it was enough for those two kids to tense up and stand properly. They gazed towards their teacher with aggrieved looks on their faces, as if Lin Nuan had bullied them.
