After breakfast, Feng Yu decided to bring Elena out. He had never brought Elena out before. When he told her about this, she was excited.
Kirilenko flew back to New York. He was going there to set up an investment firm. He said he wants to invest in the companies which the Americans were proud of. He wants to bring Russia’s honor to the American grounds!
Feng Yu did not stop him. In fact, Feng Yu also thought this was a good idea. The US claims to be the best in technologies. He wanted to suppress the US in this field!
Technology increases productivity. This was the truth. No matter what machinery or computers, it will significantly increase efficiency and reduces manual labor. If you can produce one item in an hour and I can produce 100 of the same things in an hour, you will definitely be replaced.
Computers were one of the most hi-tech industries. If one could control the computer industry, then he would be able to control the future!
Kirilenko still has to contact his Russian staff to start recruiting software and hardware engineers.
The hardware engineers can join Lenovo or let them develop a new CPU. These Russians could even build a space station, what’s a CPU to them?
Feng Yu realized that there are still a lot of hidden gems in Russia. Those people which he felt he could not recruit, was not a problem for Kirilenko. He could solve anything in Russia with money.
Feng Yu felt he was too conservative before. He intends to research what sort of talents he could recruit from Russia on his next trip.
……
“Where do you want to go? The weather here is warmer than in Russia. Although this is not the sailing season, we can still go sailing if you want.” Feng Yu held Elena’s hand as he asks her.
“I am fine with anything. You can decide.” Elena replied.
Feng Yu suddenly realize that he only knows Elena loves dancing. He does not know anything else about her. He did not know where to bring her.
“Museum?” Feng Yu asked.
“Ok.” Elena nodded. She does not mind any places as long as she was with Feng Yu.
“Ralph, have you bought the Seattle’s tourist map?” Feng Yu called Ralph. He was pissed, but he did not bear to vent his frustration on a cute girl like Elena. So, he could only vent it on Ralph!
“Yes, Boss. I will bring it over to you now.”
Ralph sighed. Although he was getting a high salary and had lots of authority, he had a lot of work to do. He felt he was like Feng Yu’s personal butler.
After a while, Ralph arrived at Feng Yu’s house.
Feng Yu took the tourist’s handbook from Ralph and immediately scolded Ralph: “Why is this in English?!”
Ralph was confused. Feng Yu’s English was excellent and should be able to read it. Furthermore, this is the US. If it’s not in English, what language should it be?
Ralph noticed Elena who was sitting beside Feng Yu and realized why Feng Yu was so angry. “Boss, it’s hard to get a Russian language tourist guide here.”
Feng Yu waved him away. “Never mind. You can’t even complete a simple task like this.”
Ralph nearly cried. Those who speak Russian seldom visit the US for holidays. Even if they came, they would all go to Los Angeles or the big cities.
Feng Yu pointed to the tourist handbook and explained to Elena in Russian. “This is Henry Art Gallery. Washington’s first art museum. This is Klondike gold rush museum. This is the Museum of History & Industry. This is the Museum of Flight……”
Ralph was impressed. No wonder Feng Yu could be so successful at his age. He could speak two foreign languages so fluently!
Looking at Feng Yu explaining the places of interest to Elena so earnestly, Ralph felt a bit guilty for thinking Feng Yu was gay in the past. He had been working for Feng Yu for quite some time but had never seen any women around Feng Yu.
By right, with Feng Yu’s status and wealth, he could get any women he wants, including those pretty movie stars. But Feng Yu had rejected all women who tried to approach him. Ralph felt many of those women were beautiful.
But when Ralph saw the woman who was sitting beside his boss now, he understood why his boss rejected all those women. None of those women could be compared to Elena. If he has a girlfriend like Elena, he would also lose interest in those women.
Elena had a smile on her face as she listened to Feng Yu explaining all the different tourist attractions in Seattle. When Feng Yu asked her again where she want to visit, she replied softly: “Can I go to the art museum?”
“Sure, why not? Ralph, call the driver to prepare the car. We are going to the Henry Art Gallery. Call them and tell them that I want to book the whole gallery today!”
Elena quickly pulled Feng Yu’s arm: “It would be better if we can admire the paintings with others.”
“Ok. As long as you like it. Ralph, go and get the tickets. I want to enter the gallery when we reach.”
“Yes, Boss. I will make the arrangements.” Ralph quickly ran out and start calling the museum.
Feng Yu does not like to visit art galleries. He felt those art pieces were overpriced and were inflated by speculators. Art pieces should not be valued by their prices. To the ones who like an art piece, it would be priceless. But to others, it’s just an ordinary object.
To a businessman, art pieces are products. They aim to raise the value of the art pieces and make profits from them.
You hang a painting from the Renaissance period in your house means you are artistic or elegant? It’s not like this. More than 99% of the people used those paintings as a front to show off!
Feng Yu also wanted to do this. But he does not want to buy oil paintings. He wants Chinese paintings and pottery. He decided to buy some of these Chinese paintings or National level grade Chinese art pieces in the US and donate them to the museums back in China. These art pieces need professional care, and Feng Yu does not know how to maintain these.
Maybe I can build my own museum?
That’s right. Why can’t I set up my own museum and hire professionals to maintain and repair those art pieces?
Wind and Rain Museum. Just the thought of this will make people excited. Feng Yu decided to get people to look for Chinese art pieces in the US. He does not mind the prices as Chinese art pieces in this era were still not expensive!
