Chapter 80 Miss Tang, Be Careful 2
"I wouldn't be able to stop you even if I want to."
She was really glad that she was able to meet the empress through her good friend, Li Meili. She'd been married to her husband for three years and this was the first time she could tell that she made good friends within the socialite circle.
With Li Meili and Tang Moyu around, Qian realized that she also needed to be confident about herself and not give a fuck about what people think of her, as long as Wen was on her side, and her friends believed in her.
However, while there was no clear evidence that exposure to paint could be harmful to her baby, she and her husband agreed for her not to use her art workroom back at home for the meantime. However, she could freely do her sketches as she wishes. Since this was their first baby, the two had been careful with their choices, keeping in mind to prioritize her and the baby's safety.
Xu Wenyang had ordered their cook to always prepare something nutritious and healthy for his wife and to make sure that she wouldn't miss her meals while he was at work. Oftentimes, Lin Qianrou would find herself dozing off for an hour or two in the afternoon, which wasn't usual but not unwelcomed at all.
Their lunch was served at the guesthouse, and it was filled with chatters about how the little buns helped their Uncle Ji to plant several crops in their mini-farm. They planted cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, and their favorite honeydew.
The two little buns couldn't wait to collect their first harvest, but they were reminded that it would take some time for their crops to grow. Daddy Ji told them that their first harvest would be enough to feed himself and the Tangs once the spring season was over.
"Uncle Ji, how long does it take for our honeydews to grow?" Xiao Bao asked his Daddy Ji. Just the mere thought of having a slice of their homegrown honeydew melon was enough to make his mouth water.
Unlike the rich sweetness of the more popular melon, honeydew had a light, subtle flavor. It leaves one feeling refreshed with a cleansed palate. This was why Xiao Bao liked it; because he didn't share the same sweet tooth with his Mommy and twin sister.
"Well about 65 to 100 days or so. You'll know that it is ready to harvest when its rind turns completely white or yellow. Maybe you should start counting, Xiao Bao." Feng Tianyi replied. "Are you able to count up to one hundred now?"
Xiao Bao nodded his head, gracing his Daddy Ji with a proud smile. His obsidian eyes glimmered back at Feng Tianyi.
"Mommy taught me how to count!"
Perhaps it was because of the empress's upbringing. Tang Moyu probably didn't want to put her children under the type of pressure she grew up with. Like any other heir of the wealthy families, she and Feng Tianyi were subjected to multiple private lessons from a young age, something he was sure that the little buns wouldn't enjoy.
When it was time for Xu Wenyang and Lin Qianrou to leave the Peach Blossom Garden, the latter informed Tang Moyu that they would be gone for a month for their trip to the Maldives.
"You better make sure you take good care of Qian, Mr. Xu, or else…" Tang Moyu narrowed her eyes at her friend's husband.
Xu Wenyang laughed awkwardly and scratched his nape. He was still ashamed of the fact that he hadn't been paying attention to his wife and had neglected her.
"No worries, Miss Tang. I'll make sure not to take my eyes off her. As for our deal, expect the transfer of added investment today."
Tang Moyu shot her brows up in confusion. Didn't she reject his proposition before? Why was he insisting on giving the extra funds now?
She wanted to decline becuase she didn't want Qian to think that she only made friends with her because of her idiotic husband's suggestion.
"Fine. Since I can't change your mind on this, I will make sure you won't regret putting your faith in Tang Enterprise." There was no doubt that his investment would surely help Tang Enterprise to recover soon, and she would be dumb if she didn't accept it.
"I'm not worrying over that investment, Miss Tang. I'm confident that you'll be able to push through the plan and will hit the expected revenue in the future. Since you are also Qian's friend, I wouldn't mind extending a hand to help you. By the way, Miss Tang, how did you meet Mr. Qin?"
Tang Moyu thought that it was weird that Xu Wenyang and Qin Jiran could converse like they'd known each other for a long time. Did Xu Wenyang really know Qin Jiran?
"I met him through my children. As to why he is living with us, it's because of a deal I made with him. Why Mr. Xu? Do you know Qin Jiran?"
Xu Wenyang shook his head. Although he had made several business transactions with the devil in the past, he wasn't really acquainted with Feng Tianyi.
"No, not really but please be careful…" He warned the empress.
"Be careful of what?" The three turned their heads and saw Qin Jiran being pushed by the two little buns, his face unreadable. "Why does Moyu need to be careful? When I'm around, who would dare to harm her?"
