Chapter 100 Pretty Auntie, Why Are You Sad? 3
Song Huifen stilled for a while, trying to calm herself down. Qin Jiran? Wasn't that her son's pen name? When did he find out he fathered a son out of wedlock? Did he intend to hide the boy from her?
"Who… what's the name of your Mommy, Xiao Bao?" She asked, clearing her throat as she kept her normally stoic mask on her face.
Xiao Bao held his chin and gave it a good thought. He remembered his Mommy telling them not to give confidential details to strangers, but Xiao Bao had a feeling that this woman was not a stranger to him at all. While he despised the fawning of the secretaries earlier, this woman hadn't done anything suspicious yet.
His eyes then landed in today's newspaper, his obsidian eyes widening upon seeing his own mother's face on the business section. He slipped down the couch and took it from the coffee table.
"See this pretty woman here, Auntie?" He pointed at his mother's figure in the newspaper. Song Huifen followed his gaze and wondered why he was interested in the fallen empress. "She's my Mommy!"
"Y-your mommy?" Song Huifen couldn't believe what she was hearing right then. His mother was the fallen empress, Tang Moyu?!
"Yeah, that's my mommy! Her name is Tang Moyu and she's a lot prettier in person." Xiao Bao beamed with a wide smile.
If there was one thing he was most proud of, it was the fact that his mommy was way prettier than any mommies his and Little Star's classmates have. Added to the fact that she was too good at making money that she would never rely on a man to support her.
Song Huifen felt her world was spinning. Thankfully, she was already seated, so she didn't need to find something for support.
How could it be possible that Tang Moyu's child resembled her son a lot? Did Tianyi have a relationship with her before? But that was impossible! Until the empress's exile, she had always been on Feng Tianhua's side.
So, this boy was Feng Tianhua's child with the empress, but why couldn't she shrug the possibility that this boy looked like Tianyi a lot? Was it even possible for a child to resemble his uncle more than his own father?
"How… how old are you now?" She tried to ask again.
"Little Star and I are already four," Xiao Bao mumbled, and lifted his fingers to emphasize his answer, "but we are turning five in a few months."
"Little Star?" The woman was confused.
"Little Star is my twin sister." Xiao Bao explained to her. "My name is Tang Feiyu and my sister's name is Tang Feixiu."
Was it her son or that mistress's bastard?
A small tug on her sleeve forced her to look down at the child next to her. The boy had the same eyes, hair, and expression Tianyi had when he was younger, while his cheeks and lips were obviously from his mother.
What about his twin sister? Did she take after their mother or did she take after their unknown father?
"Uhm, Pretty Auntie, would you mind helping me find my Uncle Yan and Daddy Ji? I've been gone for too long and they might probably be looking for me right now."
Song Huifen eyed him for a moment and smiled back.
"Sure." She pulled herself back on her feet and offered her right hand for Xiao Bao to take. "Just tell me which office they left you in."
"Hn, I think it was the room next door, Auntie." Xiao Bao replied.
They headed to the door and Song Huifen opened it. Leading the way, she held unto the child's hand gently and strode towards the President's office. From outside, she could hear her son's and nephew's voice arguing inside the room.
"I told you to look after Xiao Bao. Where the heck have you been, leaving him here all alone?" Feng Tianyi yelled at his cousin.
"Hey! In my defense, I said I'll be back in ten minutes! I told him to wait here!" Song Fengyan retorted.
They were too busy arguing that they didn't hear the door opened. It was only after Song Huifen cleared her throat that the two men snapped their heads towards the entrance and found the missing boy with Chairman Song.
"Xiao Bao!" Song Fengyan cried out and ran towards the boy, lifting him from the ground and hugged him tightly. "Where have you been? Didn't you know your Uncle Ji is about to kill me for losing you?" He sobbed pitifully at the little boy in his arms.
Feng Tianyi scoffed and rolled his eyes. He probably would have strangled his cousin to death if something bad had happened to Xiao Bao. His attention then turned to his mother.
"Mother. I thought you wouldn't be here," he frowned. "What happened to your five-day business trip?"
It wasn't like he didn't want to see her, it was just every time they met there was always an argument arising between them.
Song Huifen then looked at him then at the young boy in Song Fengyan's arms, who was glaring at Song Fengyan.
"Thank you for your concern, my dear son. It was rescheduled to next month." She said cooly. "But mind telling me what you are doing here, with a CHILD?" She emphasized the last word.
There were several questions in her mind at the moment, but she needed confirmation on whose child this cute boy and his twin sister were first.
