Chapter 105 The Sun Is Always Shining When Im With You 1
"Miss Moyu is currently in a meeting right now with Miss Tianxin, but I was told you can wait in her office for the meantime." She told Song Fengyan who was awkwardly holding the yellow daffodil bouquet in his arm while Xiao Bao was holding his other hand.
Cheng Ning then slightly bent forward to greet the little boy.
"Hello, Young Master Tang. It's been a while." Her eyes then shifted to the Garden Hydrangea in his arms, "is this for Miss Moyu?"
"En! Uncle Ji and I bought some for her. Did my Mommy eat her lunch on time?" Xiao Bao asked Cheng Ning. He knew how hectic his Mommy's schedule could be and he didn't like it when she missed her meals.
"Don't worry, Young Master. I always make sure she'll have meals on time no matter how busy she is." Cheng Ning assured him before leading Xiao Bao and Song Fengyan to the CEO's office.
There were several employees who tried to peek to find out who the handsome young boy visiting their CEO was, but none of them could get an answer from Cheng Ning as she refused to reveal the identity of their CEO Tang's guests.
"Didn't people say CEO Tang has a child? Perhaps, it's the boy?" One of them commented.
"Hmm… the boy is good looking and cute. Do you think CEO Tang has known his Baby Daddy all this time? The boy certainly doesn't look anything like her at all!"
"Hush! What the hell are you talking about? Do you want to get reprimanded for gossiping during working hours?"
Cheng Ning left Song Fengyan and Xiao Bao inside the room and excused herself to proceed with her other tasks.
The office was painted grey, and it had only one floor-to-ceiling window, which faced the main road. On the black glass desk sat a desktop computer, a notebook lying open, and a stack of papers sitting under a bunny-shaped paperweight that Xiao Bao and Little Star made for their Mommy on her last birthday.
In a corner, the air conditioner was blasting at medium, and there was a swivel chair in the middle of the office. A bookshelf, bursting with books was in another corner, next to yet another stack of papers under a paperweight.
Looking around, one wouldn't assume that a woman was using this office if it wasn't for the name plate placed on top of the desk with Tang Moyu's name on it.
Xiao Bao placed his pot of flowers on top of the coffee table near his mother's desk and looked around, amazed at how his Mommy and Daddy Ji had the same preference in colors and scenery of their workplace.
Were adults really busy like this? It made sense to him now why his Mommy was always tired after work and always dozed off when they were watching movies late at night.
It didn't take too long before Tang Moyu arrived with Cheng Ning accompanying her. Xiao Bao was already seated on the leather couch with his Uncle Yan, wondering if his Daddy Ji would get bored waiting for them downstairs.
Why didn't his Daddy Ji come with them anyway? Didn't he want to see his Mommy? Xiao Bao wondered.
"Baobao, did you enjoy your time with your uncles?" Tang Moyu dropped the files she was holding on her desk without preamble and lifted her son, kissing both of his cheeks lovingly.
"Yes, Mommy! I also met Uncle Ji's Mommy and she's pretty!" Xiao Bao giggled at his mother's affection.
"Really? Have you been good to them then? You behaved while your Uncle was in a meeting?" Tang Moyu asked curiously. She was surprised to know that Qin Jiran let Xiao Bao meet his mother.
"En! Uncle Yan and Pretty Auntie accompanied me. She also allowed me to eat whatever I want for lunch!"
Tang Moyu was taken aback at how easy it was for her son to open up to strangers. She noticed that he and Little Star were being more tolerable meeting new people these days, although they weren't total strangers.
And now, it seemed that Xiao Bao was able to win Qin Jiran's mother's heart. At least he and Little Star were starting to open up to other people. Before, she would have a hard time dealing with their nannies and teachers complaining about their behavior and how they distance themselves from other children.
"Good, then do you know what that Pretty Auntie's name is? You should thank her next time for buying all those sweets for you and Little Star." She told Xiao Bao.
Song Fengyan started to sweat profusely in his seat. He hadn't anticipated that question from the empress. If she found out that Xiao Bao met with his aunt, it would be a matter of time before Tang Moyu realizes Qin Jiran's true identity.
"Oh, no, Mommy! I forgot to ask her name!" Xiao Bao finally remembered that he hadn't asked Pretty Auntie's name. "I'll definitely ask her the next time we meet. Is that alright, Mommy?"
"Sure as long as your Uncle Ji is okay with it." Tang Moyu then turned her attention to Song Fengyan, who was already at his wits end trying to figure out how to avoid the empress's questioning.
"Mr. Song, thank you for looking after Xiao Bao, but I don't understand. I thought Qin Jiran was with you?" Tang Moyu said with confusion.
"That's because Uncle Ji decided not to come up here, Mommy. He asked Uncle Yan to bring you the flowers instead." Xiao Bao explained.
