Chapter 125 Is It Just in Your Mind, Qin Jiran? 3
"Don't test my patience, Gu Yuyao. I don't care if He Lianchen is here. I'm going to give you a good beating!" The devil tried to intimidate her, though it was futile.
Gu Yuyao snorted back and rolled her eyes.
"Way to show your lack of maturity, Qin Jiran. Does the baby need a blankie or what?" She retorted.
Tang Moyu could only sigh. She was pretty sure that Qin Jiran and Gu Yuyao were a few years older than her, but why did these two keep acting like kids whenever they met.
"Can't you two be civil with each other?" She asked them.
Gu Yuyao eyed the devil beside the empress and shook her head.
"You don't understand, Moyu. Seeing Qin Jiran for me is like seeing someone who needs a hug around their neck with a tightrope. You get what I mean?"
It was at that moment that Xiao Bao and Little Star came in after washing their hands, Hunter the dog following behind them.
"Who's going to have a baby? My mommy?" Little Star asked with wide eyes before turning to her mother and Daddy Ji in question.
"Not me, darling. It was your Auntie Yaoyao who said she wants one." Tang Moyu decided to clear it out before her daughter misunderstood them again.
"Oh." The little girl blinked her wide round eyes and tapped her chin with a forefinger. "Is that so Aunt Yaoyao? But why do you need to make more babies when there are so many people already in the world?"
Feng Tianyi huffed and coughed into his hand, trying his best not to laugh at Little Star's question, while Tang Moyu wondered why her daughter's questions lately were enough to give someone a heart attack. She feared that one of these days, Little Star's questioning would cause a mental scar in someone.
"That's because your Uncle Number 2 and I want our own babies too just like your Mommy has you and Xiao Bao." Gu Yuyao explained with an awkward laugh. She didn't think Little Star had already thought that far at her young age.
"You hear that, Gu Yuyao? Even Little Star thinks you didn't need to spread your monstrous genes." Feng Tianyi sighed dramatically. It took a lot for Gu Yuyao to hold her hands back from strangling his neck and throwing his cold body into the ocean to feed the sharks.
"Why don't you tell that to yourself, Mr. Qin? I'm sure Moyu's children would be enough for the two of you." Gu Yuyao squinted her eyes at him before she was distracted by He Lianchen, who'd placed her breakfast on the table.
"Stop fighting with him, Yaoyao. Why do you always argue with him anyway? Just let them be." He Lianchen told her as he poured himself a cup of tea.
A few hours later, Feng Tianyi found himself babysitting the little buns again with He Lianchen and Song Fengyan, who dropped by just to remind him to sign a few copies of his new book for promotion. Since Qin Jiran's real identity wasn't known to the public, his publisher opted to use different methods to promote his book series.
Meanwhile, Tang Moyu remained in the dining area with Gu Yuyao, discussing the recent problems Tang Enterprise was facing.
Song Fengyan stared at the widescreen TV, feeling completely bored. How did he end up watching the two "Frozen" movies with Xiao Bao and Little Star by coming to Peach Blossom Garden? He couldn't understand why he had to share this punishment miserably with the devil, who was starting to doze off as the Tang twins watched the same movie for the umpteenth time now.
Feng Tianyi finally understood why Tang Moyu wasn't eager to join them whenever the twins chose to have a movie night and would fall asleep midway. Seeing the same movie repeatedly wasn't fun at all. At this rate, he was sure he would be able to memorize each of the characters' lines soon.
Out of the blue, Little Star turned and tugged Song Fengyan's sleeve to get his attention.
"What is it, Little Star? Are you hungry?" He yawned and massaged the back of his neck. If Little Star hadn't tugged him, he was ready to doze off.
"Uncle Yan, Uncle Yan, when Elsa farts, does she make snow?" Little Star asked with a straight face, catching both Song Fengyan and Feng Tianyi off guard while He Lianchen, who was a little disgruntled from his nap, woke up from the little girl's voice. He was oblivious as to what the little girl was asking.
Song Fengyan threw his head back and laughed uncontrollably. At the same time, Feng Tianyi covered his mouth with one hand when he realized what Little Star meant.
Since he'd already seen the movies for the umpteenth time with these little buns, of course he would know about the 'Snowgies' that were created whenever Elsa started sneezing. The more Elsa sneezed, the more Snowgies appeared.
Feng Tianyi just didn't anticipate that Little Star would be curious about it. Even he had never thought about it, but he was certain that the answer to her question would be yes.
Song Fengyan suddenly doubled himself up and burst into a loud, harsh cackle of laughter. He hadn't laughed as hard as he did now. His breathing came in quick gasps between his unstoppable laughter. Tears gathered in the corners of his eyes, threatening to spill over.
"What do you think, Xiao Bao?" He asked the other twin. He wanted to know how in the world did these children end up having these weird assumptions.
Xiao Bao shrugged but his eyes shone with curiosity, just as much as his twin sister's.
