Chapter 211 Lost Chances 1
Feng Tianyi took it upon himself to check Tang Wanyu's claims about a certain Yan Qiuyu, who was supposedly Moyu's birth mother. It will take some time before He Lianchen's people would be able to give him a definite answer about that woman's identity, but Feng Tianyi didn't mind. At least he and Tang Moyu would know where to start.
He hadn't expected that Moyu's reunion with her older sister would lead to opening a can of worms their parents had kept well hidden from her for years. The devil couldn't imagine how painful it was for his woman to find out that she had been played like a fool almost all her life.
Just the mere thought of young Moyu being mistreated by Zhang Wuying was enough to piss the devil off. If he could, he would've ruined the old woman with his own hands. But alas, Tang Moyu didn't want him to get involved with her family affairs just yet.
Today, his mother would be coming over for a visit to see Moyu's little buns. He knew that his mother was enamored with the twins, much like everyone else. Though Feng Tianyi hadn't expected that the little buns were able to win the heart of his aloof mother.
"Moyu, you don't need to do anything. Auntie Lu and I have already made preparations for Mother's arrival." He told the empress when she arrived at the guest house with her little buns.
Tang Moyu nodded but didn't say anything. Her silence was starting to make Feng Tianyi worry about her. For the most part, she kept everything to herself and had trouble letting herself share her burden with anyone.
"Mommy Fen is here!" Little Star ran towards the front door once she heard it open. Her twin brother followed closely behind her, soon after, peals of laughter and giggles reached Feng Tianyi and Tang Moyu's ears. They were waiting in the sitting area, with Hunter who seemed to be dozing off near the empress's feet.
The twins came back with Song Huifen, holding one side of her arm each, trying to vie for her attention. Feng Tianyi smiled at the scene. At least Moyu's little buns didn't mind spending time with his mother, whom he hadn't been treating very well for years.
"Mommy Fen, are you going to stay with us for lunch and dinner?" Xiao Bao asked the old woman.
Song Huifen took a seat in the armchair and let Little Star sit on her lap while Xiao Bao tried to strike a conversation with her.
"En. Mommy Fen cleared her schedule today to spend time with you." Lady Song smiled at Xiao Bao and ruffled his thick hair. She'd waited for this day to come ever since she received the paternity test result that revealed their blood relation to each other.
Now that she had confirmed that little buns were her grandbabies, how can Lady Song waste more time from pampering these two to no end? Her assistant came with her, helping unload several toys, dolls, and clothes that she bought before her visit.
The two little buns' eyes lit up in excitement and checked the small mountain of toys. Their concentration was amusing to the adults watching them.
Feng Tianyi loved the look on their faces, but it didn't stop him from being surprised when he saw the final pile of gifts that his mother's people had brought in.
"Mother, did you just buy a whole toy store?" The devil felt that it was ridiculous of his mother to buy this much toys, but he couldn't really blame her. He would have probably done the same thing if he was able to stand on his feet and walk around. He would sure buy out all the things these little buns might like.
"I would have if not for the fact that it would be pointless to acquire them and manage it under the Qing Tian Group. This old woman doesn't have enough time or space on her plate for that." Song Huifen nonchalantly admitted.
Anyway, as long as Xiao Bao and Little Star were happy, what's wrong with her indulging them once in a while? She had lost her chance to be with them since they were infants, so Song Huifen refused to lose more of the time and chances than she already had.
"Moyu, if you don't mind. Can you let this old woman see Baobao and Little Star's baby pictures? I'm really curious to know what they looked like." She told Tang Moyu, who was in a daze from shock, seeing how half of the room was suddenly filled with toys and clothes for her children.
"E-en." Tang Moyu broke from her trance and nodded. "I'll ask Auntie Lu to bring the albums from the main house. Good thing Meili helped me compile their photos growing up."
Li Meili was the one who had the patience to take pictures and videos of her little buns while they were growing up. The woman, who called herself the godmother of her twins, never missed any chance to spend every minute she could spare with Baobao and Little Star, especially on their birthdays.
Tang Moyu knew that if it wasn't for Li Meili's help, she would definitely have a hard time raising her twins on her own.
It took some time for Auntie Lu to bring the albums to the guest house as there were just too much to bring on her own. She had to ask the little buns' nannies to assist her with the task.
Song Huifen couldn't contain her excitement as she picked up the first photo album and flipped the pages one by one with such an interest that confused her son even more. She took her time looking at the photos.
