Chapter 215 No One’s Coming With You 1
Tang Moyu rarely had a bad impression of anyone she met, but Han Shaohui was one of those people who if she was running in a marathon race and he was the prize, she would rather run backwards than cross paths with this man.
"Han Shaohui, it took you so long to show yourself here." The empress said nonchalantly, crossing her arms over her chest, her long hair flowing over her right shoulder while Li Meili was busy looking for something in the garden until she picked up a long wooden stick the twins were playing with earlier.
Li Meili swished the wooden stick a few times in the air, testing it, pleased that it should be sturdy enough for her to use. Just in case these stupid men dared to touch her best friend, even though she was fully aware that Tang Moyu more than capable of protecting herself.
Han Shaohui's smile faltered, not understanding what the empress meant. Did she mean that she'd been expecting his arrival? But why?
He gave his sister-in-law a good look. No wonder people called Tang Moyu the empress. It's because of the cold and imperial impression she gave to anyone who sees her. Her cold countenance and sharp eyes were enough to make one wary of talking or addressing her.
A devious smile curled on Han Shaohui's lips. Even before he married Tang Wanyu, he'd been eyeing this little sister of his wife's. He had demanded his father to ask for Tang Moyu's hand, but the empress was already engaged to Feng Tianhua for a long time and it was almost impossible to snatch her from that man.
However, now it was a different case. Tang Moyu was already free from her ex-fiance and he had a useless wife who couldn't even bear him a child for the past seven years of their marriage.
Han Shaohui licked his lower lip in excitement. His blood rushing through his veins as the idea of having the fallen empress for himself turned him on. Looking at Tang Moyu's curvaceous body and ample chest, his hands had an itch to touch her, to possess her.
Who cares if she got pregnant five years ago and bore a bastard? It only proved that unlike her elder sister, Tang Moyu was able to give birth to a child. The last time he'd seen her was on the day he married Tang Wanyu. She attended the ceremony with their mother and younger brother.
"Ah? You've been waiting for me?" He grinned at Tang Moyu. "Had I known that the empress has been expecting my arrival, I would have come sooner."
Was he even aware that the one who had empty seeds between him and her sister was him? Tang Moyu doubted that his overflowing ego would allow him to accept such a thing. He would most likely blame Tang Wanyu for the infertility.
"Release me! Don't touch me! Moyu, help!" Tang Wanyu's voice resounded outside, grabbing their attention.
Two of Han Shaohui's subordinates had dragged Tang Wanyu from the main house back to the garden where their boss and the empress were. They pushed her forward and she was about to fall flat faced on the ground when Tang Moyu's arms caught her.
"Wan Jie." The empress's tone was cold, but for Tang Wanyu, it brought relief in her heart. Her little sister was a person who wouldn't turn back on her words, and since she promised her that she wouldn't allow Han Shaohui to take her back, she knew she was safe as long as Tang Moyu was around.
Tang Moyu helped her sister to get back on her feet and told her to run inside the guest house, where she would be temporarily safe with the twins.
"I'll deal with him. Don't worry about us." She then glanced at Feng Tianyi, as if it had only dawned on her that he'd been there all this time. "You should probably go back with her."
Feng Tianyi wanted to argue that he would never leave her behind, but Gu Yuyao stopped him.
"No, I agree with Moyu. Let's take you back inside. Us being here won't help Moyu and Meili. We would only be a burden to them." She told the devil before wheeling him away, taking the shivering Tang Wanyu with them.
Feng Tianyi couldn't understand why Gu Yuyao was so calm about this. Shouldn't she be worried that Moyu and Li Meili would get hurt by those bastards who had trespassed their safe haven? They even went as far as ruining the mini farm he and the little buns had painstakingly worked on.
"Gu Yuyao, hurry. Call Lianchen and Fengyan and ask them where they are!" The devil said in frustration as he took a peek from the glass sliding door, watching his woman and her best friend deal with Han Shaohui and his men.
What was wrong with Moyu? If she'd known Han Shaohui would come and cause trouble, why didn't she ask him for reinforcement?
He could have made some phone calls and summoned his mother's people temporarily to guard Moyu's property here in Peach Blossom Garden, protecting her and her little buns.
"You are worrying too much." Gu Yuyao finally snapped at him. "Han Shaohui is nothing but a shrimp for Moyu and Meili. They won't lose to them. Can't you have a little faith in your woman?"
The devil looked at her as if she'd grown another head over her shoulder. What the hell was she talking about?
