Chapter 227 A Sweet Temptation 3
It took some time before he managed to get some sleep, but he was woken up a short time later when he felt a tugging on his side on the bed. Cracking an eye open, he furrowed his brows when he saw the little buns standing next to his bed. He could see Little Star sniffing as she sobbed quietly.
She was clutching her doll in one arm while holding onto her twin brother's arm with her other hand. Xiao Bao seemed to sigh as he looked at his crying sister, but Feng Tianyi saw the look of uncertainty in the boy's eyes, although Baobao tried to hide it.
Feng Tianyi slowly rose from the bed and looked at them.
"What is it? It's still dark outside and you are already up." He asked softly.
This wasn't the first time it happened anyway. There were nights like this, when Little Star would have a nightmare and would wake up in the middle of the night crying, effectively waking up her brother in the process. Then the two would then silently slip into his room, waking him up too, which eventually would end up as a sleepover.
"Little Star woke me up with her crying." Xiao Bao whispered, then he eyed their sleeping mommy next to their Daddy Ji, wondering when did they start sleeping on the same bed.
They weren't planning to make a little brother or sister too soon, were they? The little boy thought. Didn't they need to get married first before having a baby?
"Scary. Monsters are scary, Daddy Ji." Little Star sobbed beside her brother.
Before Feng Tianyi could reply, Tang Moyu rolled over on her side and groaned quietly, obviously disturbed from her slumber. She heard her children's voices and had woken up from it.
In the semi darkness of the room, the trio saw her wake up and sat up, rubbing the sleepiness from her eyes before squinting it a little as she had trouble looking at them.
"Little Star?" She called out before glancing on her son, then back to her daughter, "Darling, why are you crying?" She murmured.
It was Feng Tianyi who answered her question.
"Little Star just woke up from a nightmare." He responded in a low voice.
"Oh, dear. Come here and let Mommy sleep with you." Tang Moyu said, letting Feng Tianyi hold the covers up enough for the twins to crawl up into the bed and make themselves comfortable between him and Moyu.
Tang Moyu shifted and allowed her daughter to snuggle against her, wrapping an arm to hold her crying daughter. Slowly, Little Star finally calmed down and fell asleep next to her mother.
Too exhausted and sleepy, Tang Moyu let him do what he wanted and shut her eyes. This was a rare moment to be shared with him and her little buns anyway, so she would cherish it in her heart.
The next day, sunlight drifted through the blinds of the sliding door of the room, waking the little buns as the adults slept on. Little Star tried to squirm from her mother's hold, but saw her brother glared at her, silently telling her to let their Mommy sleep.
The clock on the nightstand said it was already seven in the morning, just in time for Feng Tianyi to wake up. Usually the twins would wake up past eight o'clock, but today, they woke up earlier.
Sleep was something their mother was lacking and Xiao Bao had been very careful not to wake their Mommy unless he needed to. The little girl pouted, but understood why her twin brother was insisting on it. Mommy was always tired, so she would need all the sleep she could get whenever she was home.
Little Star sighed before stifling a gasp when her doe-like eyes met Feng Tianyi's dark ones, who had also just woken up from the twins' squirming under the sheets. Her face broke into a wide smile and was about to say something when their Daddy Ji shook his head and gestured for her to remain quiet.
With no other choice, Little Star shifted back next to her mother, wrapping her tiny arms around Tang Moyu's middle section and went back to sleep, loving how for the first time ever, she and Yu Gege could sleep with a mommy and a daddy to look after them.
An hour later, Tang Moyu woke up, a little disgruntled from her sleep. She smiled sleepily as she felt warmth behind her, thinking it was her twins snuggling next to her. However, the moment she felt an arm snaking around her waist, her eyes snapped open and turned around to see who it was.
She was greeted by the devil's grinning face, as he pressed her close to his body. Although it wasn't uncomfortable, she wasn't used to waking up with someone else on the same bed as she was.
"Morning, my dear Moyu. You overslept today." He informed her as he laid on his side, facing her while the little buns were nowhere in sight. They had probably woken up earlier and were playing outside as they waited for their mother to wake up.
Tang Moyu blinked twice, her eyes glancing at the clock and saw that he was right. She groaned and plopped back on the pillow. Was she really that tired, that her own body clock betrayed her in favor of getting more sleep?
