Chapter 256 I Can Call You Big Brother, Right? 1
There were several times when he and Song Fengyan had found the little master of the Huo family hanging out with their Xiao Bao. It seems that he would only listen and talk to the Tang twins, ignoring the other kids around them.
After that day he met Huo Yunhao, Xiao Bao had requested his Daddy Ji to make another set of lunch for his new friend, which the latter easily obliged since it was the first time Xiao Bao asked him something aside from being their daddy months ago, way before he started dating their mother.
The sunlight streamed through the window, making Feng Tianyi sigh and open his eyes slowly. For a moment, he wondered what time it was as he couldn't remember what time he and Tang Moyu went to bed together last night.
Turning to his right, he caught the sight of the sleeping empress next to him. Once in a while, Moyu would allow herself to sleep here with him, but they never dared to cross the line, no matter how tempting it sounded to the devil.
Propping himself up on his pillows, he glanced at the clock nearby and noted that it was too early to get up before turning his attention back to the woman who'd been plaguing his dreams.
Tang Moyu laid on her side, facing him. Her long dark hair splayed out around her and it occurred to Feng Tianyi that it had grown much longer since the first time he met her. Reaching out, he took a long strand of her hair between his fingers and marvelled at how soft it was.
Obviously, the empress took good care of her hair, he mused. His eyes snapped up when Tang Moyu slightly shifted and sighed as she rolled onto her back.
As his gaze roamed over her figure, Feng Tianyi realized that he would have laughed if anyone had told him a year ago that he would end up enamored with a woman. He would have laughed louder if the said woman was?the empress who was supposed to be married to his younger half-brother.
Looking at her intently, he was briefly stunned by her cold beauty. She was really quite stunning when she wasn't hiding behind her icy mask that protected her heart from everyone. His gaze then went down to her luscious, plump lips. The lips that he would never get tired of kissing, the lips that would also curl up into an enticing smile whenever she was happy.
Shaking his head slightly, Feng Tianyi forced himself to tear his gaze away from the beautiful woman sleeping peacefully on his bed. What he told her the other night was true. Everything he had, as long as he had it, he was willing to give it to her.
"Are you alright? Do you need help?" Tang Moyu saw the shattered baked dish on the floor while Feng Tianyi leaned on the kitchen counter for support, his face blanched as he took several deep breaths.
She could see the darkening of his eyebags again, indicating that he'd been pushing him too hard these days, and Tang Moyu couldn't help but feel guilty about it. If she hadn't suggested such a scheme to destroy the Han family, Feng Tianyi wouldn't have suffered like this. She should have known that this man would strive to give whatever she wanted, as he'd told her earlier in the week.
"Go to bed. You really need to catch up with your sleep." She pulled his arm and treaded carefully on the floor before leading him back to his room.
"But the dinner…" Feng Tianyi wanted to argue, but she was right. Sleep sounded so tempting right now.
"We'll be fine. You don't need to do the cooking. I don't want you to pass out just because you overworked yourself. What would happen if it also affected your recovery?" Tang Moyu insisted, gesturing him to move towards the bed to sleep.
"Alright. Sleep it is." The devil sighed and let himself fall on the comfy bed that he wasn't able to appreciate in the past weeks since he and Tang Moyu started Xiao Xing Diamond Co. Now that the most difficult phase was over, this would give him enough time to relax, even for just a little.
"Mommy, is Daddy Ji alright?" Little Star asked when she found her mother cleaning the mess Feng Tianyi had left in the kitchen. Her face was filled with worry and anxiety, hoping that nothing bad happened to her daddy.
"He's just tired, darling. Nothing a good sleep can't fix." Tang Moyu assured her as she removed the cleaning gloves and washed her hands at the sink.
"Just like Mommy?" The little girl asked. She knew her mother tried to sleep more whenever she was home, but she didn't think her Daddy Ji would also need a power nap like her mommy.
"Yes, just like Mommy whenever she's tired." Tang Moyu agreed. At least she didn't need to explain why Feng Tianyi would need to spend most of his day on his bed without worrying her little buns.
Tang Moyu finished cleaning the kitchen before returning to the sitting area with her daughter, just in time for an unexpected visitor to come and announce his arrival.
"Xiao Bao! Little Star! Uncle Beixuan is here! Where are my cute little nephew and niece?!"
The empress furrowed her brows. When did Tang Beixuan come back from abroad? How was she not aware of this?
