Chapter 378 - You Are My World (2)
The two little buns were already snoring on the bed, too exhausted from all the playing and activities they had during the day. Tang Moyu had just finished her shower and was now sitting on the edge of the bed, drying her wet hair.
Meanwhile, Feng Tianyi was working on his laptop, trying to continue writing the manuscript of his new book that was scheduled to be published in three months. He was already half way through the book and he needed to finish it as soon as possible.
It had become a habit for Feng Tianyi to write a few thousand words at night before going to bed. This was something he was glad that he had become used to. It had made his daily life easier to deal with as his body was already accustomed to the routine he does every single day.
"Song Fengyan said that you only have three months left to complete your rehabilitation therapy. Is it true?" The empress asked, breaking the silence between them. She eyed the bed where they were going to sleep with the twins and wondered if Feng Tianyi would be able to sleep comfortably, considering it was a bit short for his tall height.
"If everything goes well. I should be able to complete it in three months. Fengyan has been reminding me nonstop these days, you know." Feng Tianyi responded, a little exasperatedly.
"I could imagine." Tang Moyu agreed with him. Song Fengyan could be a worry wart sometimes, but his concern was understandable. She was glad that Feng Tianyi had a cousin and a good friend like Song Fengyan, even before she knew and met the devil.
"The bed is a bit short. Do you think you will be able to sleep without a problem tonight?" She asked quietly, not wanting to disturb the peaceful slumber of her little buns.
"It's alright, Moyu. I can manage. It's only for a night." Feng Tianyi replied with a shrug, his fingers flying too fast over his keyboard, which amused the empress.
Tang Moyu had read some of his books in her spare time and had taken time to compare it to the other books with the same genre and plotlines. It was then when she found out that he had a very descriptive mind. His writing was more than adequate, something that made her feel strangely proud upon reading his published books.
People often say that reading a book was like being transported to another world, but it was rare to find a decent author who could grasp the attention of the readers and keep them interested. But with Feng Tianyi, it seemed like the words naturally came into him, the world slowly building itself as his fingers continued to hit the keys of his keyboard.
"So any plans for tomorrow?" She asked Feng Tianyi.
"I don't know. Maybe we can take the twins for a sightseeing tour. What do you think?" The devil answered her with a question. He saved the doc.u.ment he was working on, made sure to make a copy on his cloud before shutting down his laptop.
"Sounds like a plan. Let's give the others some privacy. He Lianchen and Sister Yaoyao are still in their honeymoon stage, so they might want to make their own plans for tomorrow." Tang Moyu agreed, looking at Feng Tianyi right now, she couldn't believe that returning from New York would lead her to him.
She eyed the same ring she still wore on her ring finger and wondered if it was time for her to truly let go of the past and accept Feng Tianyi. However, before she could reach a decision, she heard her boyfriend calling her attention back to him.
"Moyu, I have something important to discuss with you…" He started. Feng Tianyi was visibly nervous, which made Tang Moyu wonder what was it all about.
The last time she'd seen Feng Tianyi being on the edge like this was when he confessed to her that he was Feng Tianyi, her ex-fiancee's older brother. So what would it be now?
What was so important that made the devil sweat profusely in her presence?
"What is it?" She asked, removing the towel on her head before running her fingers through her hair. She saw him turn his seat to face her, his face was one filled with confusion and nervousness.
Feng Tianyi remained silent for a moment, pondering the right words he should use to break the news over the identity of the man who fathered her little buns. He looked at her nervously. He could feel his mouth drying, her palms sweating over the thought that Tang Moyu might hate him for this.
But it couldn't be helped. Tang Moyu should know the truth right from his mouth and not from another person. Who knew what could happen if he decided to prolong and keep the truth from her?
"Moyu, would you please listen to what I will say first and not jump to conclusions? Will you promise to hear me out first before reacting? I… this isn't easy for me, Moyu." He said helplessly.
"I could tell." Tang Moyu replied. How can he miss the tremble in his voice and how he couldn't look straight at her at this moment? She had decided to put her trust and loyalty on Feng Tianyi, hoping that he wouldn't break or waste any of it.
"Tell me what's wrong, Tianyi. How would I be able to decide if I don't know what's going on? Is this about Baobao and Little Star?" She asked. Ever since she disclosed to him about her twins' rare blood type, she had noticed the sudden change in his behavior towards her children.
If Tang Moyu could be honest, she thought Feng Tianyi was more attached and closer to her twins compared to the first time he met them.
"Yes. Actually, it's about the two of them…" he paused for a moment. "I……I found their father."
