Chapter 461 - You Promised Me (1)
Feng Tianyi and Tang Moyu lost track of time and the sky was already dark when they decided that it was time for them to go. They thanked Yang Huan for his time, but the old man only waved it, saying that he enjoyed the time he spent with the couple.
The old man even followed them to the parking lot where Tang Moyu's car was. There weren't many people at the publishing company right now as they were busy with the promotions and distribution of Qin Jiran's latest book.
"How did you meet each other anyway? Tianyi never told me he was acquainted with you." He asked the empress. This was something he'd been thinking about ever since Feng Tianyi introduced her as his wife earlier.
Tang Moyu glanced at her husband, who only shrugged in response. Shouldn't he be the one to explain it to his godfather and not her?
"Well… how do I say this? You probably know about this due to the rumors circulating about me before, Mr. Yang, I gave birth five years ago not to just one baby, but twins."
"Ah, yes. I heard about that, but what does that have to do with Tianyi?" The old man asked, holding his chin in confusion. They were inside the elevator and just waiting for it to arrive at the parking lot below the building.
"Because Uncle Yang, I'm the father of those children." Feng Tianyi took over and decided to explain the details himself, much to the empress's relief. She wasn't really good at this kind of conversation.
"What did you say?" Yang Huan thought that he had heard enough surprises for today, but he was gravely mistaken, because what Feng Tianyi said was far from his expectations. Did Feng Tianyi say that he already has children with the empress? And they were a pair of twins?
"Uncle, I know that you're already getting old, but I didn't think that your hearing is also getting bad." Feng Tianyi laughed, earning a glare from the old man. He stepped back and hid behind his wife, holding on to her shoulder.
"He's not lying, Mr. Yang. We just recently found out about it." Tang Moyu chimed in. This was really hard to explain to people who were close to her and Feng Tianyi.
"Is that why you two decided to get married so sudden?" Yang Huan asked suspiciously, but Tang Moyu shook her head.
"No, Mr. Yang. It's because Tianyi and I feel like we shouldn't drag this on for too long." A slight blush appeared on her cheeks. "I assure you it wasn't because of the children."
Yang Huan looked at the empress's face for a moment and sighed. He then glared at the devil, who was still hiding behind his wife. This was ridiculous. Feng Tianyi was already married, but he was still acting childish as ever.
"Would I be able to meet them soon?" He asked.
Now he was curious just what kind of children did the empress and the devil spawned together. Perhaps it wasn't too late for Yang Huan to make offerings to heaven, to pray that those twins didn't inherit their father's despicable tricks and mischief when he was younger.
Yang Huan had already lost count of how many times he'd seen Feng Tianyi in trouble, dragging his cousin Song Fengyan with him. He could already imagine how hard it would be for the empress if she had a pair of troublemakers, courtesy of the devil.
"You can visit us anytime during the weekend, Uncle Yang. Baobao and Little Star have just started attending kindergarten, so they aren't home at this time." Feng Tianyi responded.
Yang Huan arched a brow at the devil's eagerness. He'd never thought there would be a day when he would see him accepting children's company, considering how vocal his disgust was for them before.
"Alright. I'll ask my secretary to clear my appointment this weekend. Miss Tang, I hope you don't mind this old man visiting you." He told Tang Moyu.
The empress gave him a polite smile and nodded.
"It's fine, Mr. Yang. Any friends of Tianyi are welcome to visit anytime." She responded.
"Ah, I think we should already drop the formalities. What do you think, Moyu? Call me Uncle Yang from now on." Yang Huan said before pulling out his business card, giving it to Tang Moyu, just in time as the elevator doors opened.
"If Tianyi is giving you trouble, call me anytime and I'll beat him for you." The old man winked at her and grinned.
"Hey! Why's everyone thinking I'll bully my wife?" Feng Tianyi scowled. "Why couldn't it be the other way around?!" He complained.
Didn't they know how merciless Tang Moyu was to him when she bullies him? Not only did his wife earn his mother's favor, now she also had his Uncle Yang at her disposal? Wasn't this too unfair for him? If there was someone who needed to be careful, it should be him!
Yang Huan let out a laugh as they stepped out of the elevator. Tang Moyu hooked her arm with her husband's and turned her head to see him frowning. It was rare for her to see him act like this. Was he really that bothered?
"It's okay, Uncle Yang. Tianyi and I rarely fight anyway. Nothing a good talk can't fix, unless…" Her eyes narrowed at the devil.
"W-what?" Feng Tianyi didn't like how his wife looked at him suspiciously.
Yang Huan burst into another round of laughter seeing the devil's pale complexion.
"What Moyu means is that so long as there are no other women or children involved. Otherwise, you can kiss your marriage goodbye." He explained to the oblivious devil.
"What? That's ridiculous! Moyu is the best wife I could get out there!" Feng Tianyi waved a hand. "No. No. You promised me we won't divorce!" He turned back to Tang Moyu.
"Yeah, I do remember, but please behave or else…"
