Chapter 504 - You Can Live With Me (2)
Feng Tianyi was also a kid himself, but looking at Yu'er, who was obviously younger than him, it would be hard for him to raise her alone. He also didn't think his father or his mother would appreciate it if he adopted a girl to raise.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Are you planning to kidnap my daughter?" Yu'er's father glared at him and hoisted the girl up from the ground.
"If you don't take care of her, then I think I should do it myself, Uncle." Feng Tianyi told the man without batting an eyelid.
He was the heir of the Feng family after all. He had a vast amount of money to support the two of them without relying on their irresponsible parents. The girl wouldn't need to worry about her living expenses and didn't have to worry about her abusive mother.
With him around, who would dare to bully their Yu'er? If she decided to live with him, she wouldn't have to worry about her mother who hated her.
Yang Huan, who was witnessing the scene between his godson and Yu'er's father could only laugh awkwardly and sweatdrop. Since when did this young devil take a liking to the girl?
"Don't be mad, daddy. Big Sister is only concerned about me." Yu'er told her father.
Big sister? The man frowned as he stared furiously at the boy who dared to trick his young daughter.
What Big sister? The person in front of him was certainly a young boy!
For the next few days, they spotted Feng Tianyi in the garden of the rest house alone. One afternoon, Yang Huan found the same girl accompanying his godson that day. Because Song Fengyan had gone back to Beijing with his family, Feng Tianyi was left in his care.
The young boy would be staying with him for at least a month or so, as per his agreement with his busy mother.
"Oh, you are here again. Did your father know you will be here?" Yang Huan asked the girl. Yu'er was never around during mornings and only appeared in their garden late in the afternoons. She would spend time and have dinner with them until it was time for her father to show up at the front door, knowing she came here to see her 'Big Sister' again.
"Is there a problem, Uncle? I want to spend more time with Big Sister here." She replied.
While Yu'er loved spending time with her best friend at the Li estate, the girl refused to join her friend in her remedial classes. This was why whenever her friend was occupied with her classes, she always sneaked over here to see her new friend.
Yang Huan eyed Feng Tianyi suspiciously and wondered why he never corrected the little girl about his gender. Was he afraid that if the girl found out the truth, she wouldn't visit him anymore?
He was always dressed casually and his long hair pulled away from his face on a low ponytail. Looking at him, no wonder this girl thought Feng Tianyi was a young lady. She would have been a beautiful girl, if he was born as a girl.
Feng Tianyi seemed to have adapted to being in this girl's company. Most of the time they were silent, barely talking to each other. Yang Huan noticed how the boy looked calmer these days. No one understood why he liked the little girl when he himself couldn't even explain why he was allowing her to follow him around like a lost puppy.
He often found the two under the same tree in his garden talking to each other. According to his godson, the little girl was a math prodigy. She was so good at numbers, that even Feng Tianyi was having a hard time keeping up with her.
"So if you have one hundred fifty dollars and someone took half of that, what would they have?" For a six-year-old little girl, Yang Huan was surprised at how fluent the girl could speak and read.
"A broken hand." Feng Tianyi deadpanned and Yang Huan had a hard time controlling his laughter behind his hand, while Yu'er frowned in confusion, not understanding what her big sister meant.
A moment later, the two fell silent again. Feng Tianyi busied himself, reading a book too m.a.t.u.r.e for his age, while the girl lazily colored the drawing he left for her to do. She glanced at her new friend and was amazed at how silky and sleek her long hair was, unlike hers that was long and wavy. Even Auntie Lu, her nanny, had a hard time taming her hair at times.
"What?" The beautiful big sister asked her when she noticed her staring.
Yu'er shook her head and returned her attention to her coloring books.
"Nothing. Just wondering if my new classmates would like me when the classes start." She said nervously. Once her vacation was over, the little girl knew what was waiting for her back in Shenzhen. Her mother had enrolled her in several lessons and classes she didn't like at all, but she had no other choice but to do it anyway.
Feng Tianyi frowned. What if no one liked her? How could they not like her? He liked her. If he liked her, then there's no reason for others not to like Yu'er. In his mind, it was just that simple. Then again, there were idiots out there who might bully Yu'er. Too bad he wouldn't be able to see her again after this vacation trip.
"I like you." Feng Tianyi answered her with honesty. "Does their opinion matter?" He asked her, to which she answered with a shake of her head. "Then that's it. Don't worry about those people. You can't please everyone." He said and returned to the book he was reading.
For the next two weeks, Yu'er accompanied young Feng Tianyi during his stay until she eventually left Guilin with her father and the Li family.
