Chapter 583 - My Queen, My Empress (1)
What?
What did just Tang Moyu say? Had they heard her right?
Everyone was left flabbergasted by Tang Moyu's claim. So the person behind that incident was Xing Yiyue? Just because she wanted to become Young Madam Feng, Xing Yiyue went that far to get Tang Moyu out her way to achieve her goal?
How shameless!
Those who knew and were acquainted with Tang Moyu could only shake their heads in disbelief. Although the empress was known for her cold personality, Tang Moyu didn't have such a vicious heart. It seemed that the belief that a woman's heart could be vicious was right, especially one that's filled with greed and ambition.
In order to get a higher status and brighter future, Xing Yiyue schemed against Tang Moyu? Well, this wasn't the first time they heard such a story anyway. Many women covet for something they couldn't have and they were willing to do anything just to get it.
"Yiyue, you…" Feng Tianhua looked at his wife, then to the woman he couldn't have as his wife. There were so many things he regretted in the past and the thought that Tang Moyu betrayed him didn't sit well with him.
Who would have thought that the reason he lost his chance to be with Tang Moyu was Xing Yiyue. He never suspected that his gentle wife was capable of pulling such a scheme to ruin Tang Moyu's reputation, and he'd been used as a tool to do that.
Xing Yiyue's heart beat rapidly inside her c.h.e.s.t as her husband looked at her in disbelief. No! She cannot allow this to happen! Not when her relationship with Feng Tianhua was in a delicate state.
So what if Tang Moyu knew the truth about that night? It wouldn't change the fact that Feng Tianhua had turned his back on the empress and chose her instead. It was too late for her husband to regret it now.
"I can swear on my life that I have never betrayed you." Tang Moyu ignored Xing Yiyue's words and instead talked to Feng Tianhua. "But could your wife do the same? Can she swear with her life that she hadn't plotted against my back to harm me? That…"
She threw an accusing look at Xing Yiyue, who was now looking embarrassed and having a cold sweat at the moment.
"I doubt Xing Yiyue could do the same." Tang Moyu crossed her arms over her c.h.e.s.t and regarded the two as if they were her subjects.
"I… Why should I have to? I did nothing to you, Sister Moyu." Xing Yiyue couldn't believe that of all places, Tang Moyu would choose to attack her in public like this.
"Woah, I never thought that Xing Yiyue has a vicious and ugly heart! How can she do that to Tang Moyu?" One of the guests who witnessed the commotion couldn't help but comment about it.
"Poor Tang Moyu. She was busy helping Feng Tianhua save Feng Conglomerate, but he was busy chasing skirts behind her. If I were Tang Moyu, I would have kicked those cheaters out of my way much earlier!"
"Darn, Xing Yiyue is so vicious. How could she do that to a fellow woman? She should know how badly it would damage Tang Moyu's reputation. I guess her innocent facade is just as fake as her face."
Tang Moyu scoffed as she looked at Xing Yiyue's ashen face. Did Xing Yiyue finally understand what it feels like to be condemned by everyone? Tang Moyu would never be able to forget the humiliation she suffered because of this woman and Feng Tianhua in this lifetime.
She looked at Tang Moyu, then at Feng Tianyi, who remained silent throughout the conversation between her and the empress. Feng Tianyi was trying to help the empress. He had been gone from Shenzhen for a long time and probably didn't know what happened between her and Tang Moyu.
Maybe… just maybe, Tang Moyu had deceived him and hadn't told him about her bastard children? And even if she did, the fact that Tang Moyu had lost her innocence to another man who wasn't her fiancé and bore bastard children out of the incident, it would forever taint her reputation.
She wasn't ready to admit defeat yet! Never in this lifetime! She would never succ.u.mb and admit defeat, especially when she's against Tang Moyu!
Xing Yiyue faced Feng Tianyi and put on her best pitiful appearance and acted in front of him. As long as she could convince Feng Tianyi that Tang Moyu was just trying to ruin her name and was using him, she could deal with the empress later.
"Elder Brother, I don't know why you are helping Sister Moyu, but she misunderstood me. I wasn't the one who drugged her that night. Can you please give me at least the benefit of the doubt? I wouldn't do such a thing. Sister Moyu lost her innocence to some dirty man whose identity remains unknown until now. She gave birth to his children, but I have nothing to do with it. Please believe me."
"She lost her innocence to some dirty man?" Feng Tianyi repeated Xing Yiyue's words before turning his head to look at his wife.
"A dirty man, huh?" He asked Tang Moyu.
Tang Moyu raised a brow in return before shrugging.
"She isn't wrong though." She responded, earning a scowl from her husband.
Xing Yiyue frowned as she watched Feng Tianyi and Tang Moyu interact with each other. This wasn't the reaction she was aiming for when she told Feng Tianyi that. Shouldn't he be looking at Tang Moyu with disgust now? But why was he acting like he was being bullied by the empress instead?
She couldn't understand why she didn't get the reaction she wanted? Did she misread Feng Tianyi? Xing Yiyue wondered. Has Tang Moyu been able to influence Feng Tianyi and had managed to gain his trust?
Meanwhile, Feng Tianhua was feeling a conflicted emotion at the moment. He didn't know whether or not to believe Tang Moyu's claim that it was his wife's fault that she ended up with another man's children.
Tang Moyu was the prize he'd been eyeing for a long time. He was willing to wait until she changed her mind about him. Unfortunately he didn't expect that his plans would be derailed and he wouldn't be able to marry Tang Moyu.
And to think that it was Xing Yiyue who took away his chance to marry Tang Moyu by sending his fiancée to another man's bed. This… Feng Tianhua could feel the turmoil slowly brewing inside of him.
Xing Yiyue didn't know how to get out of this situation anymore. Her husband looked distraught, deep in his own thoughts as he looked at her.
