When the uncle and the nephew stopped to rest and discuss things, Wang Yao came forward to ask them about the insects.

“Yes.” Zhang Qingshan simply answered one word.

“Why isn’t it breeding in the bottle?” Wang Yao asked.

“The insects are divided into male and female,” Zhang Qingshan said.

His nephew besides him had a very awkward in expression, but he was really sensitive in action.

“Both of you have worked hard the whole morning, you need to take a break. I’ve prepared some lunch,” Sun Zhengrong said with a smile.

Lunch was served at the best hotel in Lianshan County. In reality, the taste of the food could only be regarded as general. It was far less as good as the private chef in Sun Zhengrong’s home. But, it was to seem formal. He did not want to bring these two people with unknown danger to his home.

At the banquet, Sun Zhengrong frequently toasted them. They just showed their politeness. The words of the uncle and nephew were very few.

“When can these poisonous insects be completely expelled?” Wang Yao asked.

The uncle and nephew did not answer. For some reason, they did not have any goodwill toward the young man.

“Mr. Zhang?” Sun Zhengrong took over the conversation.

“Hard to say,” Zhang Qingshan said. “In seven days maybe. We will try our best.”

This uncle’s reply was as simple as possible. It was as if talking was a laborious thing.

After eating and resting, they returned to the mountain village. The uncle and his nephew continued to look for insects. Although their movements were concealed, Wang Yao could still detect that they were using insects to attract insects.

As for the insects found in the village, if they were in the villagers’ homes, Wang Yao would coordinate and deal with the villagers. If it was on the mountain, they would be disposed at the site where they were found. The uncle and the nephew adopted the simplest treatment method, which was to use sulfur to burn them.

In one day, quite a few people in the village knew that there were two veterinarians in the village under Wang Yao’s lead going door-to-door to treat animals that might have been infected with strange diseases. The key was that it was free. This kind of thing was unavoidable.

“Oh, his uncle, do you know about it?” Someone asked Wang Jianli.

“What! Nothing!” Wang Jianli responded them all in this way.

In fact, he did not know anything at all. He inwardly generally understood that there must be a reason for Wang Yao to do this since Mr. Sun was accompanying him. What really worried him was how many livestock they saw that were sick, what kind of disease it was, and whether it was serious. He decided to ask Wang Yao.

Following the pair of uncle and nephew, Wang Yao was surprised. The horror of these insects far exceeded his imagination.

Their parasitism was very concealed. The female insects bred extremely fast. They had deadly toxins, but he also heard from the uncle and the nephew that these insects could not breed more than three generations. Even if they did not deal with them, these insects would die and become extinct. But, before that happened, they might cause irreparable damage to the villagers’ life.

That night, the uncle and his nephew did not go back out to the mountain. They stayed in the village to continue to find the insects. During the night, their methods were more special.

In the dark night, they were like two ghosts. Such an unusual behavior could not be hidden from the villagers.

“What are they looking for?” Wang Jianli asked Wang Yao. At least 10 people in the village had asked him the same question.

“They are looking for insects,” Wang Yao replied.

“What kind of insects?” Wang Jianli asked.

“There may be a parasite in the village that infects livestock,” Wang Yao said.

“Like the sheep in Fengmin’s family?” Wang Jianli asked.

This incident had caused a lot of panic in the village. Everyone who raised sheep were worried that their sheep would all have insects in their stomachs. Fortunately, Sun Yunsheng put forward a policy in time that was conveyed to every family via Wang Jianli. As a result, the panic in their hearts was slightly dispelled.

  “Correct,” Wang Yao said.

“Tell me the truth to me, will these insects infect people?” Wang Jianli stared into Wang Yao’s eyes. This was what he was most worried about.

  “Maybe,” Wang Yao responded.

Hearing this reply, Wang Jianli did not speak for a long time. “What will happen once people are infected?”

“It would be very dangerous.” Wang Yao still answered by simple words.

“Will they die?” Wang Jianli asked.

  “Maybe,” Wang Yao replied.

Wang Jianli did not speak. He just lowered his head and smoked.

He was worried. It was not only because he was the secretary of the village or how noble he was. His parents, his wife, and some of his relatives lived in this village. They were a big branch of his family.

“Can they clear it up?” Wang Jianli asked.

“They should be able to,” Wang Yao replied.

Wang Yao’s parents also heard the dialogue between two of them clearly. They did not interpose any remarks.

“This situation really bothers you,” Wang Jianli said before he left. He was expressing appreciation to Wang Yao.

“This is what I should do,” Wang Yao whispered.

He sent Wang Jianli out of the door and then returned home.

“Are the two people reliable?” Zhang Xiuying asked with some concerns.

“It should be OK,” Wang Yao replied. He had seen their methods and considered them acting as professionals.

During the night, Zhang Qingshan and Zhang Yuantong slowly wandered around the mountain village. The uncle was in front, followed by his nephew. Zhang Yuantong still held one more thing in his hand. It was a bunch of lit grass. It exuded a special smell.

“Uncle, that should be almost all of them.” Zhang Yuantong’s voice was depressed.

“Don’t be urgent,” Zhang Qingshan replied.

They went to the place where the battle had taken place. They did not notice there was one person behind them.

Wang Yao was following behind them, hiding his breath. He watched them stop.

“It is here,” Zhang Qingshan said.

“We were here during the day,” Zhang Yuantong said.

“Look for it separately,” Zhang Qingshan said.

The uncle and nephew separated to look for something nearby. What were they looking for?

Wang Yao knew that they did not rest in the middle of the night. It was definitely not because of their dedication. There had to be something else going on.

The uncle and nephew looked for a while. Then, they met each other to discuss. Neither of them found what they wanted.

Wang Yao tried to think of what they might be looking for. Huang Zhicheng had a strange round wooden tripod, which sealed some terrible insects. Wang Yao had opened it. There was some special medicine inside that he had never seen because it was a medicine unique to Miao Territory.

“Where is it?” Zhang Yuantong asked.

“We should ask Sun Zhengrong,” Zhang Qingshan said.

The uncle and his nephew left without finding anything.

Sun Zhengrong arranged a car for them and prepared places where they could live. The nearest one was in town. The farthest one away was in the county. A driver waited around 24/7.

The car left after two people got on the bus.

“They are gone.” In Sun Yunsheng’s new house, all actions of the uncle and the nephew fell onto the eyes of Sun Zhengrong.

“What were they looking for?” Uncle Lin asked from his wheelchair.

“I believe it is that thing Huang Zhicheng left that night,” Sun Zhengrong said.

“Those things have been taken away by Dr. Wang,” Uncle Lin said.

“Well, I guess they will ask me tomorrow,” Sun Zhengrong said.

The next morning, Wang Yao went down the hill early. After eating at home, he received a phone call from Sun Zhengrong that the uncle and the nephew had already arrived in the mountain village.

  “Special things?” Sun Zhengrong asked.

  “Yes,” Zhang Qingshan said.

“I’ll have to ask about it. I came late at that night,” Sun Zhengrong said.

“Good.” Zhang Qingshan’s words were still very few.

This time, the uncle and nephew went up to the mountain. They didn’t find any insects in the morning.

“There should be no problem here,” Zhang Qingshan said.

“Are you sure?” Wang Yao asked.

“You doubt me?” The middle-aged man asked with no expression.

“No, I just want to be sure since we live here,” Wang Yao calmly said.

Zhang Qingshan did not speak. He then prepared to go down the mountain.

“Uncle.” Zhang Yuantong standing on a higher place shouted at him and pointed to the distance on the hill.

Zhang Qingshan came to the higher place. His eyes lit up. He saw a piece of blue color just in the distance. The blue was very conspicuous in a bleak background.
