The feeling was like sitting in warm sunshine in the winter or showering in the warm spring wind. Miao Sanding and his younger brother felt really comfortable.
It worked! Wang Yao thought.
He could feel the change in Miao Sanding and his younger brother’s bodies, so he increased the speed of transferring Qi into them. His Qi was like a bell shielding them. It was running around them rapidly to remove the Yin energy.
If someone was watching them, they would see Wang Yao standing there with his palms pushing out and two patients sitting on chairs with their eyes closed. Wang Yao’s palms were nearly an inch away from them. They seemed to really enjoy the treatment.
“Almost done,” Wang Yao said.
He felt that the excessive Yin energy inside their bodies was almost gone, so he stopped.
“How do you feel?” Wang Yao asked.
“I feel good,” Miao Sanding said. “‘m fine now! Thank you, thank you so much!”
The excessive Yin energy in his body had gone. It was like a sharp blade hanging above his head, which could drop any time. Now, it had disappeared. Although he was not fully recovered and still felt a bit cold, given his experience, he would be fine after resting for a short period of time. He was safe now.
Initially, he only wanted to try his luck in Wang Yao’s clinic. He didn’t think Wang Yao could really cure him. The way he looked at Wang Yao was totally different now.
Even the old monk from Wutai Mountain wouldn’t be able to cure him and his younger brother in less than 15 minutes. The old man had to rely on the Buddha scripture, so it would take a long while to cure them. Wang Yao just treated them by pushing out his hands. It seemed to be so easy and unbelievable.
“By the way, Dr. Wang, how much should we pay you?” Miao Sanding asked as he took out his wallet.
“You don’t need to pay me,” Wang Yao said.
“No way, I have to pay,” Miao Sanding said.
“Don’t worry about it. I’m in a very good mood today,” Wang Yao said.
“What?” Miao Sanding was confused. What a capricious reason!
The reason Wang Yao didn’t charge them for treatment was truly because he was in a good mood. The two of them showed him a new field of treatment. Although he had come across similar situations before, he hadn’t made an effort to study it. He was not sure at that time if what he did worked or not. The door to the new area just opened slightly, so he couldn’t see what exactly was inside. It was different now. The door to the new field of treatment opened to him completely and showed him the path leading to the destination.
“Interesting,” Wang Yao said.
As a traditional pharmacist, not many things could raise his interest. He might be interested in a good medical book, high-quality herbs, or some rare medical condition. Miao Sanding and his younger brother’s condition surely raised Wang Yao’s interest.
“I forgot to do an introduction,” Miao Sanding said. “This is my younger brother from the same teacher. His name is Liu Sifang.”
“Nice to meet you,” Wang Yao said.
“Nice to meet you too,” Liu Sifang said.
Wang Yao thought their names were interesting. Both contained a number.
“Words cannot express my gratitude,” Miao Sanding said. “We owe you one, Dr. Wang. Let us know if you need us in the future. At least we know a bit of Feng Shui.”
“OK, I’ll keep your words in mind.” Wang Yao smiled and nodded. He gave each of them a glass of water and made himself a cup of tea. “Tell me more about that ancient tomb.”
Miao Sanding took a big breath and began telling Wang Yao what happened in the tomb. A wealthy local family hired Miao Sanding to check the Feng Shui of the graveyard they picked for an elder in their family. They wanted to have the graveyard sorted while the elder was still alive. Liu Sifang happened to be nearby, so he went with Miao Sanding. The location of the grave had been decided, so they picked a good day to dig. That was when they found the tomb, which was from the Ming Dynasty and unmarked.
“It was really weird that we didn’t even notice there was an ancient tomb underneath,” Miao Sanding said. Given his knowledge and skills, he should have noticed it before they started to dig. The Feng Shui of a place with a tomb was totally different from the other places.
“Wait! Those who participated in digging were fine?” Wang Yao curiously asked.
He thought those who went ahead of Miao Sanding and Liu Sifang to do the digging would be more sick than Miao Sanding and Liu Sifang.
“They are fine because they didn’t go inside the tomb,” Miao Sanding said.
“Let me continue,” Liu Sifang said. “I am the person to be blamed. In fact, I have a different identity.”
“Tomb raider?” Wang Yao eyes brightened. Tomb raider was a nice way to describe someone who stole stuff from tombs.
“Well, I’m not a tomb raider. I’m an archaeologist,” Liu Sifang said.
“Really?” Wang Yao asked. Since when did archaeologists start to check Feng Shui for people?
“I’m just doing it part time,” Liu Sifang said. “I could tell the tomb was established in the Ming Dynasty as soon as I saw it. It looked interesting. Half of the gate of the tomb happened to collapse. So, I went in to take a look. Brother Sanding was concerned about me, so he went down with me. We saw a statue in the middle of the tomb.”
He looked fearful, as if he was looking at a ghost. “It was not common to see a statue in the middle of a tomb. The position of the statue was even rarer. The statue looked terrible, like an evil monster from hell.”
“This is unbelievable! I can’t believe such things could happen in our modern society,” Wang Yao said in amazement.
“We suddenly felt a gust of cold wind in the corridor of the tomb and something wrong,” Liu Sifang said. “We immediately left the tomb and asked people to block the entrance. We notified the local government of the existence of the tomb. That same afternoon, Sanding and I started to feel sick. He took me to Wutai Mountain right away.”
This was Wang Yao’s first time to actually hear a true ghost story. Previously, he had only read such things. He didn’t know it could happen in real life.
“I didn’t occur to me that you were such a capable person,” Miao Sanding said.
“Not as capable as you think,” Wang Yao said with a smile as he shook his hand.
“We should go now if there is nothing else,” Miao Sanding said.
Wang Yao had removed the evil Yin energy from their bodies, but it would still take some time for them to return to normal.
“OK, see you later,” Wang Yao said.
A moment later, Miao Sanding returned to the clinic.
“Is there anything else?” Wang Yao asked.
“Well, Dr. Wang, I forgot to ask that if any other people have the same condition I had, can they come to see you here?” Miao Sanding asked.
“Yes, but I won’t just treat anybody,” Wang Yao said.
“Who you won’t treat?” asked Miao Sanding.
“Those who are nasty, evil, arrogant, stubborn, or dying. And, the ones I simply don’t like,” Wang Yao said.
“I see,” Miao Sanding said.
“Check my Weibo frequently,” Wang Yao said. “I’m not here every day.”
“Sure,” Miao Sanding said.
He kept Wang Yao’s words in mind and left again.
“Is everything alright?” Liu Sifang asked.
“Yes. I’m just worried about those people in that village and the archaeologists who dug the tomb. So, I asked Dr. Wang if he would treat any of them just in case,” Miao Sanding said.
“Why do you think there is a statue of an evil ghost in the corridor of a tomb?” Liu Sifang asked.
“I don’t know. Maybe it’s supposed to stop tomb raiders,” Miao Sanding said.
The statue of the evil ghost was in the middle of the corridor. Behind the second gate of the tomb was a statue of Arhat, who fights against evil ghosts. It was really interesting.
It had been raining for three days somewhere in the south. A temporary wood shed was established on a hill. Next to the shed was a tomb. The corner of the tomb had been exposed. Several workers were busy working in the tomb.
“The tomb was established in Ming Dynasty, which makes it more than 400 years old,” an old man in his 60s said.
“Given the style of the tomb, who do you think was buried inside?” a man in his 30s asked.
“It’s hard to say. We have to wait until the second gate is opened,” the old man said.
They had come across several problems since they started to dig the tomb. Therefore, the second gate hadn’t been opened yet. A worker was injured on the first day of digging. Before long, more workers got injured. The workers started to get worried and insisted on inviting a Feng Shui master to check the tomb.
The archaeologists had come across similar situations before, so they knew why the workers were worried and scared. In order to calm the workers, the archaeologist hired a local Feng Shui master to check the tomb. The local Feng Shui master asked them to stop digging the tomb immediately after taking a look around the tomb. He said people would die if they continued to die before quickly leaving.
As a result, the team of diggers refused to continue working. It was already hard enough to find workers to dig tombs. Now, it had become even harder. The local government had to double the pay for the workers to ask them to continue to dig. The workers didn’t leave because of the money. However, it started to rain for days, which delayed their progress.
