“I’m very busy,” Zheng Weijun said with a sigh. “I’m not as free as you!”
Wang Yao just smiled. The young man sitting opposite him could live such a life, but he was unwilling or didn’t think he could. He had too many people’s hopes on his shoulders. There were some things that he couldn’t ignore even if he wanted to.
After sitting in the clinic for a while and having two cups of tea, Zheng Weijun left.
As he was leaving, Wang Yao, said, “Get more rest so you aren’t so tired.”
“Alright, I’ll make a note of that,” Zheng Weijun said. “Thank you, Sir.”
“Goodbye,” Wang Yao said.
“Take care, Sir,” Zheng Weijun said.
The cool autumn wind rustled the branches. Wang Yao liked autumn best because the weather was cooler and it was harvest season. Spring was busy with planting while the summer was hot. Now that it was autumn, the mountain village would be bustling with all the harvesting.
In the afternoon, Wang Yang had an unexpected visitor. “Yang Ming?”
The person who arrived was his old classmate and once the pursuer of Tong Wei. Yang Ming, who had tripped him up, didn’t arrive alone. He was with his mother.
“Is it really you?” Yang Ming looked embarrassed after seeing Wang Yao.
“Come in and sit down.” Wang Yao smiled and let them into the clinic.
There was some tension between the two men, but it was not the unresolvable hatred of killing one’s parents or stealing one’s wife. He had already arrived at the door, so Wang Yao couldn’t just chase him off.
Seeing that Yang Ming seemed embarrassed to speak, Wang Yao asked, “Can I help you with something?”
“My mother has a headache and can’t sleep at night,” Yang Ming said. “I want to ask you to have a look at her.”
Although Yang Ming had all kinds of shortcomings, he was very filial to his parents. He had heard that this clinic had been opened by his old classmate, whom he didn’t get along very well with. Initially, he had taken his mother to several big hospitals because of his poor relationship with Wang Yao.
The big hospitals couldn’t help his mother. However, she still couldn’t sleep at night. She was suffering a lot. He thought for a long time and finally gritted his teeth and came to the mountain village with his mother. Even if he had to bow down and apologize, he would do it to help his mother get cured.
“I’ll check for Auntie.” Wang Yao did not show a hint of displeasure. After checking her, he said, “Ah, the problem is simple.”
After some acupuncture and Tuina massage, Yang Ming’s mother instantly felt that her head no longer hurt. She felt warm and very comfortable.
“Oh, how comfortable!” she exclaimed
“Is that all?” Yang Ming was surprised.
“Yes, no more problems,” Wang Yao said. “Just keep warm when it’s cold. Don’t get a cold.”
“Ah, I see,” Yang Ming said. “How much will it be?”
“Forget it, we’re old classmates.” Wang Yao smiled and waved his hand.
He hadn’t kept those unpleasant things in mind. A lion wouldn’t mind being bitten by an ant. He still had that amount of magnanimity.
“How can I do that?” Yang Ming asked.
“There’s really no need,” Wang Yao said.
After saying a word of thanks, Wang Yao walked Yang Ming and his mother to the door. He said, “Walk slowly.”
“Thank you,” Yang Ming’s mother said.
The pearl white Audi gradually drove away.
In the car, Yang Ming’s mother remarked, “Your classmate is quite skilled!”
“As long as you feel alright,” Yang Ming said.
“My head doesn’t hurt at all now, and it feels very warm and comfortable,” his mother said. “He’s worthy of the name indeed! Since your classmate is so impressive, why didn’t you bring me here earlier?”
Yang Ming thought for a long time. He couldn’t possibly say that he and Wang Yao had fought before. Still unsure of how to respond, he said, “He’s my classmate, so it’s kind of awkward.”
“Oh, yes, he didn’t ask for money today. Let’s try not to come in the future so as not to make it difficult for him.” The woman was considerate toward her son, but she had gotten the wrong idea……
In Dao, Jia Zizai was stunned as he looked at the things in his hand. “What do you mean?”
“The man who met the chairman is not necessarily Mr. Li,” Hu Mei said.
“Don’t you have a picture?” Jia Zizai asked. “Haven’t you already seen his face?”
“Someone may have pretended to be him,” Hu Mei said. “At that time, someone happened to see that Mr. Li shopping in the supermarket a few miles away. He couldn’t have split himself, could he?”
Jia Zizai scratched his head. One old man appeared in two different places. “Which is the real one?”
“That is also where I’m stumped,” Hu Mei said. “I’m not sure. I didn’t know this kind of thing would happen in advance, so we didn’t arrange for someone to follow the one in the supermarket. We did follow the reef beach one. He indeed went to Uncle Li’s residence.”
“Did he enter the house?” Jia Zizai asked.
“I’m not sure,” Hu Mei said. “They only saw him going into the building. This is his information.”
Jia Zizai took over the materials and carefully looked them over. There was no problem. This Uncle Li was a local and had children living in Dao. Someone like him should not be involved, but many things in the world were illogical.
“Continue to follow him,” Jia Zizai said. “Find someone to guard at the reef beach. Our chairman is really patient. He’s just hiding and won’t come out. The company is going to stop running soon!”
“I think he’s coming out,” Hu Mei said.
“Why?” Jia Zizai asked.
“Intuition,” Hu Mei said.
“Intuition again?” Jia Zizai asked.
In a house in Dao, a man was looking at the computer screen in front of him. There was a lot of information on it. Once the information was exposed, it would cause a stir.
He clicked the mouse a few times. Several pictures appeared on the computer screen. It showed some nighttime monitoring clips of a human figure flashing by.
A few miles away, in a building with its lights off, a man slipped inside. He arrived outside of a room. With a click, the door was opened. He walked in and began to search every drawer.
Money?
There was a stack of money in a drawer. He took it and put it in the bag on his back and continued to search.
Nothing?
He tapped carefully on the wall. He stopped at a specific location and tapped it repeatedly. He took down the picture hanging on the wall. A dark grid appeared on the wall.
Sure enough.
It took him a lot of time to solve the password lock on the hidden box. After opening it, there was a small bag, a pile of money, and an envelope.
He put the money into the backpack and opened the bag. There was a diamond inside. He threw it into his backpack. The only thing left was the envelope. He hesitated for a moment before opening it. Inside was a letter. There was only one sentence on the letter: Are you disappointed?
With a click, the lights suddenly turned on. Someone had quietly entered the room. “Who are you?”
The man with the mask ran to the window. A muffled sound rang out. The masked man felt dizzy. The world felt like it was spinning as he fell to the ground.
When he woke up, he was in a dark, humid space. His body was tied to a chair. A lamp hung over his head. Sitting opposite him was a man with long hair, a pale face, and an ambiguous gaze. The gaze caused goosebumps to rise all over him.
The pale-faced man’s voice was a little shrill as he asked, “Who sent you?”
“Ah, who? Nobody!” The tied-up man was stunned.
“What are you doing at our company?” the pale-faced man asked.
“To steal!” This man was a thief. Since he had entered, he would naturally steal something.
“How do you know that place is the chairman’s office?” the pale-faced man asked.
“It’s written on the door plate!” the tied-up man exclaimed.
There was a brief silence. The pale-faced man suddenly punched him in the ribs.
“Ah!” A scream sounded. The bound man shouted out in pain.
It hurts! It hurts so damn much!
