  "Noted. We'll leave now."

The man spoke to her. "Ma'am, may I get your bag?"

She turned to look at the driver as he stepped out of the car.

  "Thank you, yes."

He nodded quickly before going to get her bag. He walked around the car to load it into the back. Qian Meng turned to Mo Qingchen.

"Come on," he said, putting a hand on her shoulder and guiding her to the car. "We will talk more at the hotel."

She blinked. "You'll go there with me?"

He nodded, looking confused as he opened the door for her.

"I just didn't know if you would be done with work. I thought I would stay in the hotel room until you were done for the day."

He waved it off as the driver walked around them and got back into the driver's seat.

"I'm all yours tonight. I accomplished everything else before you arrived. I do have some things I need to do in the morning, but you can sleep during that time."

She grinned smugly. "Mine all night…" She climbed into the back of the car and slid across the seat so Mo Qingchen could get in beside her. "I really like the sound of that."

She watched him slip in gracefully beside her and close the door. The partition between them and the driver was up and Qian Meng wondered if he could hear them.

"I think the driver got bored with our mush and decided to take matters into her own hand," Qian Meng admitted sheepishly.

"It's probably because the next plane might come in," Mo Qingchen said soothingly. "What good is love if you can't show it off, anyway?" he boasted. They were silent for a moment. "Are you hungry?"

"No," she answered, shaking her head.

She hadn't eaten all day and, on a level, she was physically hungry, but she had no desire to eat anything. She felt too… nervous to eat.

It was overwhelming that all of a sudden everything was different. She wasn't aware of how the change came to be. She was suffocatingly in love with the man sitting beside her and it seemed like she had woken up one day, completely in love with him. She had fuzzy memories of a time when she wasn't completely enslaved by his charms when she disliked him. Those moments were so distant to her that they felt like it had happened before her last life.

She had never stood a chance when it came to him. He was her destiny.

"What are you thinking about?" he asked quietly as he lifted his finger to coax her bottom lip out from under her teeth.

  "Everything."

She took his hand in hers, lacing their fingers together and she held it in her lap as she leaned her head against his bicep. She suddenly felt his face in her hair as he kissed her head.

"Did you sleep well last night?" she asked.

"I did." He chuckled. "I still can't believe you wanted to fly all the way here instead of following your schedule."

She rolled her eyes. "As I said, it wasn't a choice. There is nowhere I would rather be than with you."

He gulped. "Somehow, I want to celebrate this with you. Just the two of us."

  She shook her head. "No."

"No?" He raised his brow in question even though she couldn't see him.

"No. I don't want to go anywhere. I just want to be alone with you."

He was quiet for a moment, but he was pleased. "Whatever you want."

She didn't know what came over her, but she blurted it out. "You. I just want you."

His heart stopped. "You already have me."

His words from the tarmac echoed in her mind.

Thankfully, their ride to the hotel was short. It was beautiful, as expected from Mo Qingchen. Mo Qingchen guided her to the elevators with their hands twined and her bag over his shoulder. As they rode their way up to the top floor, tension crackled between them.

It was so intense that Qian Meng wondered if the people in the elevator could feel it radiating from them.

They walked down the long hallway hand in hand. He only released his to fish for the key from his wallet and pull it out to let us into his room.

"Nice room," she commented as she watched him place her bag beside his.

"I booked a small room because I was just staying for two nights. If I had known you were coming, I would have gotten a suite."

She smiled, shaking her head as she went up to him. He turned to face her directly as she slid her arms around his neck, her fingers sliding through her hair at the back of it.

"Who needs a suite. Everything I need is right here in the room." She gave him a small wink.

His hands on her hips gingerly brought her body close to his. "I just want to give you the best of everything."

She shrugged. "You always do. Including you."

He huffed. "You're so easily satisfied. It's infuriating," he admitted.

"I'm not easily impressed. I just know what I like. It doesn't need to be fancy to satisfy me. Just a simple gesture is enough for me." She pulled her arms from around his neck and reached into her pocket to pull out the piece of paper again. "Like this."

He glanced down and shook his head subtly. "I had no idea your reaction would be so intense. If I had known, I would have given you my whole journal."

She blinked. "Do you write a lot about me in there?" She shook her head, not wanting to know. "I don't think my heart could have handled a whole journal. It would have been fun, though. To look into the most intrusive thoughts of Mo Qingchen." Her honesty made him smile.

"I will let you read it sometime. But most of it is boring to you. I often jot down what I did that day or a code that particularly crossed my mind."
