Chapter 406: Dont Follow Us Anymore
Qian Meng chuckled. "Let him. He will figure out where I am going soon and zoom in front of us," she said confidently.
And it happened just like she said. Once the man in the other car had figured out that she was headed to the hospital, he overtook Qian Meng's car and went towards the hospital first.
Qian Meng smiled brightly. "Please stop by Li Jun's office," she said calmly.
The bodyguard looked at Mrs. Mo through the mirror and felt a little scared of her. She either had a deep understanding of people or she had supernatural powers. How she gauged the movements of others better than a bodyguard like him was unknown to him, but she seemed confident in her movements.
"Yes, ma'am."
He took a side lane and diverted towards Li Jun's office.
Qian Meng quickly dropped by and picked up the power of attorney papers and the share transfer proof from Li Jun before coming back.
In the parking lot of the hospital, the man who was supposed to tail Qian Meng grew worried. She should have arrived shortly after he did, but it had been twenty minutes since he came and she had still not arrived.
He was just about to start the engine when he saw her car pull into the hospital's parking lot. He sighed in relief and ducked out to pull out his camera.
Qian Meng, on the other hand, had already spotted his car. The light in his car was switched on, so she could see into it despite the rolled-up windows.
She also knew that he would either need to switch off his lights or roll down the window to take better pictures of her.
As the bodyguard pulled up to a free parking space, she leaned forward to speak to him. "I wanted to give you a heads-up," she started. The bodyguard looked over after he had turned the engine off. "I am going to confront the man who is tailing us."
The bodyguard showed no outward emotion but was somewhat uncomfortable about this.
"There is no use for him to follow me any longer," Qian Meng said in a deep voice.
"I will leave the car first and walk ahead. As he takes pictures and rolls down the glass, approach him and pull him out of the car."
She gave him a devious smile.
Without another word, she opened the door and slid out of the car with ease. She sauntered towards the hospital entrance, not once looking towards the car.
As she had expected, she heard the faint noise of the automatic window rolling down a little.
She was almost out of sight when the bodyguard used the man's diverted attention to his advantage. He approached the car and blocked the view of the camera finally.
By doing this, his large body covered access to the figure of Yun Qian Meng, who had looked over her shoulder and seen the scene.
She smirked.
"Sir, may I ask what you are doing?" he spoke gravely.
The man looked like he was caught in a headlight. "I—" he started, but didn't know how to respond.
"You are encroaching on the privacy of my client. Please come out," the bodyguard demanded.
"Excuse me… I am not taking your pictures. Why are you getting your panties in a twist?" the cameraman hollered.
The bodyguard responded by grabbing onto the door and wrenching it open.
The other's eyes widened as he tried to keep it closed.
The bodyguard reached inside and unlocked the door from the slip of space available to him. The door opened immediately and the man stumbled out along with it. He clutched the camera to him and looked like a wild animal caught.
Qian Meng had already reached the spot by this time.
"Take the camera, please," she asked the bodyguard. He followed without a second thought, wrenching the camera out of his hands. He was looking through the pictures as the other man tried to snatch them from him.
Qian Meng gently took the camera out of the bodyguard's hand and her eyes widened at the weight of it.
"How have you been carrying this around for days?" she asked, suddenly feeling sympathetic. "Is the one who put you up to this going to pay for your orthopedic?" she asked. She shook her head as she found the slot for the memory card and pulled it out.
She handed the camera back to the man and gave him a brilliant smile. "Thank you for diligently photographing me. I am sure I look lovely in these pictures. You don't mind if I hand these to Mr. Yun myself, do you?" she chirped.
The bodyguard cleared his throat, unable to hide the amusement he felt.
Qian Meng waved off the other man without notice. "You don't need to wait for an hour with crappy wifi any longer. I will do it for you," she said as she slid the memory card into her bag. "You worked hard."
She patted the man on the shoulder and then turned to leave.
The bodyguard released the man. "Don't follow us anymore. She'll just embarrass you until you want to jump off a building," he said seriously.
He trotted over to Qian Meng and his eyes moved as he made sure no one else was watching.
Qian Meng already had her cellphone to her ear. She looked sly when the other person picked up on the second ring. "Mr. Yun, I knew you were waiting for a call. Not who you expected?" she asked.
Yun Sui Bo cleared his throat. "Are you coming or not?" he asked gruffly.
"Of course, I am coming. Wait for five minutes. I am bringing a gift for you too." She hung up the phone, knowing that the man who had tailed her would call in a hurry to inform Yun Sui Bo what had happened.
"Thank you for putting up with me. I might not need you around for too long, though," she told him slowly as they walked down the corridor of the VIP ward. "You'll be happy to go back to your unit. And I will get my personal bodyguard back. He has been too distant recently," she joked.
