There was still three more days until the wind would stop.

Gu Mengmeng had been upset for the entire night the day before because of Miranda and the child in her womb, she had been coaxed to sleep only by Gregory’s humming.

This was the first time in her lifetime that she had experienced such a method to fall asleep.

Probably her mother had also coaxed her to sleep like this when she was younger?

But ever since four years old, after her parents divorced, she had never been treated this way.

Elvis and Lea treated her very well but they could never bring themselves to sing.

After all, if they had to howl the entire night…… it would sound quite horrible and probably it would be even more difficult for her to fall asleep.

There was a streak of red light creeping from the sky and Gregory’s eyes was filled with warmth.

Gu Mengmeng had slept in his arms for three consecutive nights and during these nights, he could not bear to even close his eyes for a minute, as though he was afraid of missing out each breath and each smile in her dreams.

“Uh……” Gu Mengmeng instinctively inched closer towards his arms, where it was warm.

Gregory’s big hands hugged Gu Mengmeng’s back and tightened his grasp around her.

He liked it when she moved closer to him unconsciously and her sleeping face that did not have any guards against him. Even though it was slightly despicable, but Gregory still secretly kissed her cheeks.

People should really not do anything bad.

He kissed her without her permission. Even though it was a light peck on her cheeks, Gregory still felt as though his heart was beating so fast that he could hear it, and the person in his arms seemed to be displeased with the sound of his heartbeat that was disrupting her sleep as she frowned slightly. She rubbed her little face against his chest two times, before finding a comfortable spot and returning to sleep.

Her little actions frightened Gregory so much that he had almost stopped breathing.

Without any exaggeration, he was already thinking about what he should do if Gu Mengmeng decided to abandon him for kissing her secretly.

Fortunately, a steady and light breathing soon came from Gu Mengmeng and Gregory could finally heave a sigh of relief.

He carried Gu Mengmeng to the cave entrance, wrapped her in beast skin, then hugged her tightly in his arms.

He lightly patted her little face and called out gently, “Wake up, I have a gift for you.”

“Uh……” Gu Mengmeng responded with a sound in a groggy state but her eyes still remained closed.

“I really have a gift, wake up quickly.” Gregory whispered to her ears.

He knew that she has a bad temper after waking up, but…… he really wanted her to see it.

Gu Mengmeng opened her eyes after much struggle and when she was about to complain about him disrupting her sleep, she was amazed by the scenery in front of her.

The orange-red morning sun was rising slowly and the warm sunlight spread across Motou Mountains, covering the white snow with gentle warmth. The light shone brightly in the snow, as though it was a vast land of small and golden sand dazzling beautifully.

“The first ray of sunlight at dawn, for you.” Gregory’s eyes had been gazing at Gu Mengmeng’s little face the whole time. He did not miss her look that transformed from upset because of insufficient sleep to shock. He smiled gently and blissfully.

She liked his gift, how great.

The smile on her face now is because of him, how great.

“It’s too gorgeous……” Gu Mengmeng could not help but exclaim.

“Not as gorgeous as you.” Gregory instinctively replied.

Gregory said too softly and because of the strong wind outside the cave entrance, Gu Mengmeng did not hear his sentence.

Even so, this was the first time ever since Gu Mengmeng transmigrated that she did not throw a fit because she was awaken in the morning. Somehow, this first ray of morning sunlight caused her heart to be brightened up and all the worries seemed to be all swept aside.
