His threat was obvious, if Gu Mengmeng obediently help him with his “favor”, he would release her while giving her an “apology” of considerable value.

  On the other hand, if she did not agree, then he would not release her today.

  Furthermore, when he kidnapped her at the amusement park, all of them had worn uniforms, so even if Snake were to check the park, it would take a lot of effort to identify him.

  Then, perhaps, she would have disappeared from the world forever.

  What could Snake do, if he had no proof she died?

  Gu Mengmeng smiled gently, without a tinge of fear on her face.

  Harold’s words carried a clear craziness, overconfidence, arrogance and even certainty.

  He must have done such things more than once.

  Or it could be that in his eyes, this youthful and ignorant “young lady” was a good target to scare.

  However, it was unbeknownst to him, that the young lady in front of him had lived in another world for over a thousand years. This method of threatening her was too lame.

  Frankly, the Gu Mengmeng now did not have the powers she once had as the Beast King, so she could not use her bare hands to squash this fool acting mysterious before her, but…… her partner could.

  “Not sure what favor Mr Harold would like from me?” Gu Mengmeng said, while trying to wiggle her finger.

  Great, the effects of the poison were wearing off, and she was slowly regaining control over her body.

  “It is easy, as long as you can convince the bodyguard Prince Snake to arrange for you to stay under me and be my boxer, I will naturally present a superior remuneration.”


  “Oh, you want to buy my man.” Gu Mengmeng gently moved both her hands, holding the sides of the bed to prop herself up.

  Harold was rather surprised that Gu Mengmeng could sit up, but remembered his motive was not to actually offend Snake, so he had gone easy on Gu Mengmeng when poisoning her. Hence, his surprise flashed by.

  “No no no. I don’t want to buy your man, I just want to buy your bodyguard.”


  Gu Mengmeng smiled gently, “Since you want to buy him, why not talk to him directly?”


  Hesitating for two seconds, Gu Mengmeng realized an awkward expression that could not be easily identifiable flash across Harold’s face.

  She then understood, “Oh, talked about it before, but he did not listen to you at all. Let me guess…… you must have tried all methods of threatening and tempting, but he just would not listen. You had no choice, so you used me as your way out, right?”


  Harold coughed a few times, clearly feeling rather ashamed that he could not handle such men, thus taking it out on a little girl.

  But he had no choice, he wanted that man!

  Harold has been so influential in the underworld for so many years and has not had that kind of crazy desire to dominate.

  He desperately wanted to watch the untamable man submit to him, becoming nothing but his slave, the person most gentle to him, and his most alert guardian.

  Gu Mengmeng did not miss the zealousness in Harold’s eyes, for she had seen way too many of those gazes in the past thousand years.

  Raising her hand, Gu Mengmeng gently rubbed her collarbone, smiling amusedly, “Since you want him, then tell him to his face. How could you not even have the courage to face him?”
